  • omg i remember this movie from my childhood XD used to watch it every damn day

  • I just saw this this morning on ThisTV. O....M....G....A+ for animation, F- for story. Or lack thereof.

  • Hey, heads up folks. I loved this as a kid, but I'm looking at the credits now and the chief animator is Takashi Abe. That's right, Battleship Yamato anyone? Even the intro music sounds the same. BE FOREVER AMERICAN RABBIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this really brings me back!!! i haven't seen this since i was a kid!!

  • I used to watch this and rainbow brite lol.

  • The irony is that, as a rabbit, The American Rabbit has no rights.

  • even the theme music is partially ripped off of superman. I can see how the plagiarism appealed to ol' CWC...

  • Huh. So this is the American Rabbit. I recall seeing a part of this before on TV when I was a kid. Being high-functioning autistic myself, I've wondered how I was so lucky as to NOT end up like Chris-Chan and perhaps this is it. Had I sat through the entirety of this cartoon I very well may have become a criminally insane manchild like CWC!

  • Just found this by searching wikipedia on "List of anthropomorphic animal superheroes" and seeing this cartoon I just had to check out a few videos and I like it I don't think this was ever aired outside the USA so this is my first view of this cartoon.

  • If he can fly, why the fuck does he need roller skates?

  • This... is Chris' hero???

  • Wow.. I was on wikipedia browsing the list of animated films, saw 'Adventures of the American Rabbit' and I was like.. that.. sounds.. familiar. Sure enough I come here and I remember this intro. I musta seen this when I was like... 3 or 4 years old? I don't even know..

  • They shoulda made a TV series of this.

  • Love the ripoff of the Superman theme.

  • Vote this comment up if you're only here because of CWC.

  • @Skwrr no. actually i came her because i remembering seeing this as a kid. so you lose.

  • Oh Shit! I just noticed in the credits that the music was performed by Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan, better known as Flo and Eddie, former lead singers of The Turtles ("Happy Together") and, for a brief period in the early seventies, Frank Zappa's lead singers. (Also, they sang backup on T-Rex's "Bang a Gong.")

With a musical legacy like that, it surprises me that they agreed to do the music for this crapass movie.

  • It really tries to channel the Superman movie.

  • Another classic from the $2 reject bin.

  • thank you for posting this i was ten yrs at the time this show came out i am 33 now i knew i wasn't fucking crazy i knew this show exsited lol

  • It all began with a young Christian Weston Chandler. And from there, America would never be the same...

  • I'm only watching this because it's Chris-Chan's favorite movie.

  • Isn't that everyone's reason?

  • lol I guess

  • ahhh memories!:)

  • CWC lol.

  • I remember when I was really young I would run as fast as i could to try to turn into the american rabbit XD

  • The movie IS on DVD, MGM put it out several years ago. You probably won't find it on store shelves, but you will definitely find it for sale on Amazon and elsewhere online.

  • Wow, YouTube REALLY has everything! I can't believe this, total shock. I never ever had the chance to see the second half of the film, and Now I Can! :-D

  • I haven't seen this since I was a kid. The only recording that we had was on a Beta tape. This is great to finally see again!

  • this is so silly :P

  • Wow, the song is a Superman theme rip off!!

  • haha, I watched this when i was VERY little and I couldn't remember what it was called until this morning when I had a random epiphany.

  • Has anyone seen a chapter where the rabbit sticks out his tongue through the window ? I know I'm not saying too much but I was very little and that's the only thing I remember...

It has changed my life hahaha

  • I though it was a movie, not a series O_O

  • oh yes it's possible, well if u find out something else about it just let me know! thank youuu
