  • than

  • I've been making this SO much more complicated than it actually is! Thanks for clarifying!

  • 577/136 = sqrt14 @ 6 digits

  • @PYTHAGORAS101 woops scrub last post

     577/136=sqrt18 @ 6 digits

    actually 449/120=sqrt14 @ 6dp

  • Psh... who need to pay attention in class when this guy can explain in two minutes what my teacher tries to explain in the whole 50-minute long period?

  • oh ok thank you very much....

  • thank youuu xo!

  • Press 2 for potty mouth teacher

Press 6 for a sexy beast

  • Life...makes...SENSE!!!!

  • why cant it be 2 and square root of 3????

  • @southernchiki7 it can, and is also the correct way to write an surd aka surd form

  • pause at 2:13 and look at the dazed bird

  • Thank god, no one finished this test in Algreba 2, and we are allowed to study over tonight. THANK YOU, our teacher didn't cover this well, and I'm going to get a fucking A from this.

  • I have to agree with Dyro, I need to know my shit and get to work andni don't want any "fun" distractions

  • I don't care what anybody says, this guy knows his stuff. Who cares how he is teaching it as long as its getting through. By far the best explanations on youtube. If you don't like it, don't watch. Period.

  • he described it MUCH better than my teacher :D

wish u'lL be one of the great mathematician sOme day ! love it ..

kids are lucky for this stuff .!!!

    thumbs up !!!!!!

  • "Notice how this equation doesn't factor" yes it does? Difference of two squares...;

    (x-rt18)(x+rt18)

  • I learned alot from him

  • he sounds sooo enthusiastic(:

  • maths exam...TODAY IN 2 HOURS

  • garbage math... so easy its ridiculous

  • thank....u sir..... Awsum job........ Thankxx againnn... :)but is there a video for same ch but for factarition method...if yes so please lemme knw...

  • This guy is such a boss. Seriously. My final is today and I'm not worried at all.

  • This guy makes my teacher look like such a dolt.

  • wow this guy shows me how to do this stuff in 3 minutes and my teacher takes a whole hour smh

  • this guy is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'm gonna rape the SOL (standard of lies ) test

  • Some teachers just make things seem overly complicated, I've quite literally learned all my Grade 10 math from this guy!

  • @boomheadshottv Same here... I can never understand what my teacher teaches since he over explains stuff soooooooooo much to the point where I don't get it; he spends more than half the class going over homework and blaims us for never getting any new stuff done.

  • this guy is my saving grace....wish me luck on my standardized testing!

  • what a hero !

  • this dude just saved my ass on my test.

  • I recommend this excellent Math channel: ( Mathmatchpoint ) to everyone who wants to become good at Math (or to someone who is already good at it). He is going to teach you Math the EASY WAY, from the basic to the advanced topics. The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let people know about his videos). Thanks to him, I got 97% on my Math test.

    Go to his channel: Mathmatchpoint

  • i wish my professor used the same amount of enthusiasm as this instructor lmao

  • I agree good job LOL

  • could he be any more monotone:P

  • @xXizzmuffinsXx His voice isn't monotone. It changes tones, it just keeps the same pattern. :)

  • Well basically this is multiplying, adding, dividing, and subtracting.

  • how are we going to use this in life? no offence, i like doing my work just that most of your life will have only multiplying, adding, dividing, and subtracting

  • @MTMiPower "how are we going to use this in life?" Just learning it okay?!?

  • @MTMiPower Math isn't about that. If you do any science or engineering work, you will 100% need this almost everyday. If not, then you have added some more ability to break down a problem and solve it to your arsenal. Math can be applied to anything from the problem, "Should I have French toast, or cereal for breakfast?" to more complex problems directly dealing with mathematics.

  • We just learned about this for days at school and I haven't understood it until now.

  • Exponentiation and its inverses are boring. Now what we need to learn is tetration, super-roots, and super-logarithms!

  • what if a^2 was 25a^2?

  • I figured out how to solve 3x^2 - 48 = 0 WITHOUT any lessons. Add 48 to both sides, divide by 3, then square root. It's obvious and shouldn't need lessons!

How about this? (x^3 + 8)^2 + y = y. Solve for x. If you are smart, you shouldn't need someone to teach you. "thumbs up if you wish math was just multiplying, adding, dividing, and subtracting" 71 thumbs and highest rated? That's ridiculous.

  • @anticorncob6 Post some videos of your own. But maybe it is just you're scared to..hahaha

  • @otep1489 I have videos, but they're for people who already know the math and it's just interesting facts about things. I am scared to put my voice/face on tape, though.

Prove that sqrt(2) + sqrt(3) is irrational. Tip: a = sqrt(a^2). Can you figure it out? It uses that principle.

  • this really helped, thank god.

  • thanks...you are my savior...

  • I want to marry you, do you ? I'll be awaiting for you life-long. I just missed the last part, but I think we'll have a lot of time to learn it together when we're married ♥

  • thankkkkkksssss

  • Thanks for posting!! :)

  • Thank you so much for teaching this to me!! I wish you were my teacher!

  • thumbs up if you wish math was just multiplying, adding, dividing, and subtracting

  • It's called FACTORISING not FACTORING!

  • I have a test, so I'm going over all of these as best as I can

  • Math IS a mine field.

  • how with u know if ur gonna use square root method/

    ?!! omg im confused :((

  • @megumi28emo

i think you choose which method you wanna use

  • I didn’t get the last part how he got that answer!!!!

  • exellent

  • at the end of the video i said "woah, oh yah!!!" and put both of my thumbs up at the screen. THANK YOU!

  • OK GUYS, lets try 5x^2 = 25!

  • @whoaGirl12

    X = + or - root 5

    :)

  • I love you

  • i like how he talks to me like i'm an idiot...makes me feel special :)

  • Just wanna say that you've helped me so much through my honors alg 2/trig class. I also wanna add that you're really attractive.

High fives to the people who understand math way better on youtube.

    Haha

  • love the intro

  • Sometimes I wonder....how the fuck are quadratic equations gonna save my me in a real life situation? Especially when what I want to do in life has nothing to do with math.....

  • It has been almost twenty years, since I learned this. I need to brush up on my math. LOL

  • wow he made this alot more easier

  • wow just came from and add math exam (which i most probably failed) and i know more now than i did for these 3months learning add maths:P thank u teacher guy!!!!!!!!

  • what does teh A represent?

  • @robobrain10000 umm..dude it just represents the unknown variable, it could have been x or w or j or whatever:P

  • hooray for Matt Damon! :D

  • i love him!!

  • I could just watch outube instead of going to class :) YAY!

  • Why can't my teacher just teach us the method like this?

  • @ghostfase ikr!

  • THANK YOU GOD!!!

  • did people not know this?

  • i absolutely love nerdy guys...this dude is so smart.

  • you're my math savior.

  • Would a nice lady that knows this guy please give him a great blowjob because he is saving my ass! Why oh why didn't the internet come out about 30 years earlier. Kids these days are freakin lucky to have stuff like this.

  • @jberlotti wow i would rather get a blow job than be looking on the internet. great shit man.

  • @jberlotti you'd be surprised how many kids in high school these days dont take advantage of the tools we have to learn, I look around my school and 66% of people I see are kids who want nothing more than to float by high school enjoying themselves rather than increasing their knowledge of things around them. I'm not much of an exception, other than I objectively know what needs to be done, but i try.

  • @StOnion

Glad to see the generation directly behind mine still has some respect for knowledge, yet is down to disregard females and acquire currency.

  • @jberlotti yeeesiiiiir we are

  • @jberlotti lol crazy fuck

  • i learning very educational stuff from this but the robotic act is getting scary

  • wow test 2maro.........im sooooooo scared.

  • omg, I just learned what makes a quadratic equation in fact a quadratic equation!!!!!! The 2 exponent...OMG, this is a simple concept that no teacher has ever told me!!! I could never tell the dif between polynomials and quadratic equations!!!!

  • you're better than my teacher

  • yourteacher is such a huge help to me!!!

  • ribbit ribitt

  • ahhhh

  • it's ray liotta!

  • How do u make it so easy~!!! I bet our teacher can never do this in just 2min and 30 sec.

  • i bet you like to square root A^2 huh? jks your a legend!

  • this guys the master.

    thanks guy

  • I'm glad he's slowlly teaching it, as if we were about to drive a car or something, but I am hopeless at maths and a assignment next week!! thnx hope it helps

  • wtffffff

  • Thanks robot man!!!!!!

  • why a? usually its x. :/

  • Teaching Style is Very Effective... Mind Can not Distract..

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum he writes straight xD teehehehe

  • I never understood these. When I took my algebra 1 final, I was like, "Wow, this will be easy!" and then I saw these problems, and I was like, "crap".

  • WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

  • lol @ facial expressions

  • i wear a shirt that fits me... LOL jk im this guy

  • for factoring 21 i got 7 and 3 but theres no doubles

  • @upunkpunk square root of 21 is the final answer

  • i had this in math class a couple of months ago and didn't quite get it, but it sounded so much easier here xD

  • life saver!

  • life saver!

  • this just confused me more

  • wooooww im sooo losttt :S

  • thanks..... u'r better than my teacher she don't explain like u

  • this guy is great!

  • i want this guy to give lessons about radicals

  • thumbs up if you wish math was just multiplying, adding, dividing, and subtracting

  • your wish is stupid...you would not have a PC in the first place if math was adding dividing and substracting

  • @keltonbosi first of all, nobody asked you...and second of all, if you think my wish is "stupid" then you need to mind your own damn buisness and read somebody elses comments, your a fucking joke

  • @leklekjasmine416 It is, but in a certain order

  • @ISpellItThc yeah your right

  • @ISpellItThc yeah your right

  • @ISpellItThc yeah your right

  • @leklekjasmine416 Thumbs up if you wish money grew on trees.

  • @hotsauceinyoureye. Thumps up if your sick of people saying thumps up.

  • @slamer2000 Thumbs up if you're (not your) sick of people saying thumbs because they are sick of people saying thumbs up.

  • @leklekjasmine416 that makes it boring lol

  • BRILLIANT THE ANSWER IS TRUE

  • Does this work with imaginary numbers?

  • wow this make since like not being cocky or anything but right now im only in 8th grade and i decided to get ahead of everyone else and learn geometry thanks this really help!

  • @hydroOhmar this is algebra geometry is much easier. im in 8th grade too btw. Just ahead of everyone else lol=p

  • I thought algebra was the standard math in 8th grade? O.o at least that is what I remembered...

  • algebra is the standard for 8th grade because I am in 8th grade right now and we are doing algebra.

  • I started feeling slightly nauseous just like I did all those years ago in maths lessons.

  • just LOL!! XD, - go to PatrickJMT's channel for math help, he's awesome

  • Hon, why are you not modeling?

  • God has been so cruel to me, im good at science but bad at math and to make big money as an engineer you have to be good at math. I absolutely despise algebra, that is probably what hell is like, doing algebra.

  • got something against it...?

  • thats how i learned it....but still...good job!

  • I am still confused.

  • lol, dude takes his job way too seriously, with all his worried face expressions, like hes teaching you how to survive walking through a mine field, but I LOVE IT THOUGH! hes good at what he does.

  • HAHA, best comment ever! lol

  • @Live4Christ09 lmao... IF YOU CAN'T REMEMBER how to make sure you recognize the patterns of the mines, then please review chapter 3.

  • @Live4Christ09 lol walking thru a mine field...

  • @Live4Christ09 59 thumbs up for that. he is not even that serious looking

  • @Live4Christ09 For college students during finals, it IS survival o_o

  • didn't understand a fucking thing!

  • @matthewc4e me either, im with you

  • @leklekjasmine416, i did understand one thing though. that half the people who watch this vid don't understand a fucking thing either but r 2 embaressed to say so!

  • @matthewc4e i know right

  • He didnt explain the surd part very nicely.. I know this is a vid about quadractics but still..

    √18 is a simply way of writing √9 x √2..

and like he said, always try to break down the roots as much as possible. When the root number is also a square number, it can be simplified to its square factors.

    √18 = √9 x √2 (9 is a square number) = 3√2

3√2 is obviously 3 x √2, when multiplying this back out, you have to turn 3 back into √9.
