@TOOLRUDY they played aenima as there outro last night at nokia theater and they did an extended version of lateralus with a dj. but the opening act was fucking terrible it sounded like fred durst mixed with kottonmouth kings. the worst opening i've ever seen.
@medicatedguitarist Ya i was there too on monday night and i got to meet ALEX GREY before the show which made my night only more special! I saw TOOL three times this tour and all in one week, which was San Francisco, Las Vegas and LA and let me tell you Nokia Theater blew all of them out of the fucking water and I had floor seats to the San Fran show! TOOL plays the best in LA! true fact
@medicatedguitarist yeah they played on point that night. but i can't fucking stand the nokia theater it feels like a massive giant movie theater. i'd rather have watched them at the staples center or the place where they have ozzfest in the desert. i went to epicenter that show was good as fuck but i had to wait 7 hours to see tool. and the ushers kept giving me shit for smoking weed in the nokia theater man fuck that place.
@2001lateralus my fucking camera died right when Lateralus was about to get super Epic! funny thing is the best song of the night was Vicarious! which was the last song and the most intense overaLL!!!! im glad my camera died on me!!!
@TOOLRUDY awww dude that blows :( wanted to see the end, especially this song. not that i look forward to it but the end of this song is soo fucking powerful! oh well, im seeing them on july 7th and its gonna be EPIC!
God, I hate it when the crowd sings along in live shows. One of the reasons I stopped going to live shows. I go to hear the band play, not the audiences' horrible karaoke voices.
I have eaten my own weight in shrooms and never once had a bad time. Learned allot about my self and the world around me. It's refreshing when you are there in that moment and the universe shows you something new and exciting. I could care less if it were harmful to your health because life too short anyway you look at it. Too short to not want to live as long as you can and too short not to experience that thing we call the trip.
Great thoughts. I've tripped over a thousand times. I don't regret a second. I function well hold a job and have a good moral compass. Trip in some form has been around for thousands of years. I beileive it's done great things for evolution of the human mind.
i went to a tool concert when i was in 6th grade in 2006 but to bad i wasent old enogh well actully didnt really know much about drugs at the time :( i plan on going to another concert tripping tho :)
lol so you were in 6th grade in 06!? dam im getting old! I think i was 20 that year lol listen to me kid. DONT DO DRUGS!!!! and if your going to wait till your done with high school!
@br0nco1 Fuck you. Don't you ever do something so disrespectful to Tool you fucking moron. Going do ecstasy to some other music you fucking ignorant asshole. You don't understand Tool one bit if you think you can do that!
I was There!! it was SICK!!!! I was trippin on some shrooms and it was HELLA awesome. I felt the music pass through me and shake my nerves in a peaceful way. i almost nutted in my pants lol.
hey, fuck you. come back when you've wrote a song half as good as this one. stop judging and come back when you've written whats called, a masterpiece okay.
Im glad people like to chat on my videos lol just saw TOOL in Morman Capital of the world Salt Lake City, Utah......TOOL rocked like always! but lets just say im from SoCaL and i will never return to Utah...see you guys at the POMONA SHOW! check out my videos while your at
i was at this particualar concert .i specifically remember 9;07 because that is when my acid peeked. ive never tripped out like that before. these videos arent shit compared to the real thing. you can look at pictures of the grand canyon but its not the same as seeing the grand canyon. vidoes of tool live dont even come close to the real thing.for sure the best band ive seen live.
if so -- learn how to speak-- and stop taking bull shit drugs that are going to kill you_ idiot -- it may be cool now-- but it is literally killing more brain cells than you care to know about
man, chill out honestly, everybody does drugs. and if you do good for you. im postive that tool would be unexplainable on drugs. so just live your life and dont hate on other people, who like to share there storys bro.
your a dumb ass. everyone just tells you it kills brain cells, which it dose. but brain cells are constantly dieing anyway. we dont have a un limited supply, but we have enough to get high in our early years and still be alive to tell about it
It's obvious you don't really care about the person in the tone that you replied to the person.
The person you responded to had a 'spelling error' yet you said "speak"... I think you mean to say "spell". A small error on your part.
Now the big error, Acid's (LSD) LD50 limit is extremely high... so "killing" isn't the correct word either. So, how about you do some research and learn how to chill out a bit.
oops I didnt read all the way/...... I saw Nokia Theater assumed it was the one here in Dallas... Oh well Nokia July 25th Dallas is gonna be so great...
oh man, these videos are not even close to the real thing. they are magical with their setups and sound...
congrats you will never find another live show out there that will ever compare.. In this era of course, there were some greats back during the Pink Floyd days and such.
that dude doesnt think Tool is epic, he's allowed to thnk that. but just cos he plays music doesnt mean he has a better opinion than ours, and just cos Maynard is rude doesnt mean he's not amazing for music. Tool is more than music, its a message, its art, its the next stage to music. they have a political influence, so maybe thats why hes rude. im sure zack de la rocha and daron malakian arent the nicest guys either, but fucking brilliant for music.
this guy thinks TOOL is not epic lol dude your such a tool and you def. need to check yourself before you talk shit on especially on my videos....if you dont appreciate TooL's sound or passion for art and music, then my friend i have to say you dont really know music...everybody has an opinion and i just gave you mine....you probably think Pink Floyd isnt epic either!? lol
You hit the nail on the head. I feel the same way man. BTW, Tool is the modern day Pink Floyd. Floyd, is a major tool influence. Roger Waters from Floyd, has actually gave tool alot of recognition. I read that in an interview.
im sorry but i have to agree with everyone else here... while it's fun and all to sing along when you're at home... i didn't pay good money to see tool rock my face off to have the fuckin guy next to me screeching some horrible impersonation of maynard.
Im sure alot of people agree with you and so do i but you have to understand its difficult for an audience to keep silent and calm at a TOOL show, the energy level is unearth and overwhelming at times..you cant blaim the fans and true believers for going out of their minds during a Danny Carey drum solo or an Adam Jones guitar solo! but ya then your right there is time for silence especially when maynard is singing an emotional or low part....
haha i didnt see thhe drum set til 4:30...poor justin... just chillin off to the side keepin the song going, "man my fingers are killin me, hope these A- holes stop showin off'' lol...DC is a beast
You guys call this music? The singer is a cryin m f er. Can you even understand what they are playin? I bet this is a nightmare in a arena with the echo.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I don`t think they are epic.. I think there is a grove there but no music!!! I have been playing music all my life for a living. Try James Hunter, Seth Walker, Lisa Mills, Mickey Newberry. Thats f...in music. Yea I`ve seen Tool before.... Great light show!! Ha Ha!! You don`t like what I have to say Don`t read it. and f ya`ll for taking off what I thought about them. Is tool the only thing you listen to? Try something with some soul and feeling and then come talk to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of course Tool is not the only thing I listen to but I do think you are completely wrong about them.
I guess subjectivity is part of the nature of art but that still makes it hard for me to comprehend why some people don't see the value in their music.
Anyways you're entitled to your opinion, but dude.. Tool is fuckin' epic i reckon! :]
And your entitled to yours... but you don`t see me thumbs downing what ya`ll have to say. I like music where you play a solo you feel at that moment. Not what you recorded a year ago. If that`s not an art what is?
Sure, he has some chops, I play drums for a living....I think he is Tool... he makes the band. Like I said before, I like some of the groves, but you are into tool, and I am into blues and jazz. Big difference. in taste.... Everybody talks about Maynard this Maynard that. I have brushed shoulders with him playing a fest on the panhandle. He is the rudest a...hole I have ever met and to his fans. I bet if you got to meet him you would feel the same way
Yeah K, who knows you might be right about me not liking his character if I got to know Maynard better, but I don't think my respect for his music would change.
But, haven't you heard? That's the only way to have fun at a Tool show. It's not about experiencing their art, it's about how loud YOU can sing. Please realize this is sarcasm.
Im pretty sure they have in-ear monitors, they probably can't hear anything but themselves. I think all bands doing big arenas do this now days. The echo alone in the building would screw them up. :)
Nothing wrong with singing along until the singing along infringes on the enjoyment I get from listening. Maynard said he hates touring in the US because ppl wont shut up at concerts
Oh my god.. shut up about the stupid encores. Consider yourself lucky you've been to see them at all. I have seen them 12 times since 1989. In case some of you kiddies don't know, they broke up and its damn close a miracle the got back together. So please.. Consider every show you see an encore.
they don't don encores because they want people to see them again and again again...its all about leaving people and them wanting more from you. its actually really smart on their part.
AMAZING SHOW!!! We sat in the Loge and it was badass even up there!... Danny goes off at the end, I was going nuts by the end of the song!... great vid!
I was there...this is a wet dream come true...first Tool show after being a fan for many a year...flew from El Salvador to meet a friend from Jersey for her first show too! And it got taped! Bless you, man!
hey everyone holy shit i tried uploading this video and it was giving me shit so i didnt even know it was up lol but yes this TooL @ Nokia Theater in LA....so i recorded this show in High Definition so how do i upload in better quality?
ME to I loved when maynard pitched his movie Idea to us it was hilarous. After the drum off at the L.a. show maynard said thank you for that drum faggotry and grabbed the guest drummers ass. Hilarious!
This was the second Tool show I've been to and it was so fucking sick.

7:25 - 9:25
With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
This is the reason I picked up my bass and started playing Justin is amazing and so is Tool

And your entitled to yours... but you don`t see me thumbs downing what ya`ll have to say. I like music where you play a solo you feel at that moment. Not what you recorded a year ago. If that`s not an art what is?
chrisburkhardt 2 years ago
You obviously haven't heard any of Danny Carey's sick drum solos..
DevJL 2 years ago
Sure, he has some chops, I play drums for a living....I think he is Tool... he makes the band. Like I said before, I like some of the groves, but you are into tool, and I am into blues and jazz. Big difference. in taste.... Everybody talks about Maynard this Maynard that. I have brushed shoulders with him playing a fest on the panhandle. He is the rudest a...hole I have ever met and to his fans. I bet if you got to meet him you would feel the same way
chrisburkhardt 2 years ago
Yeah K, who knows you might be right about me not liking his character if I got to know Maynard better, but I don't think my respect for his music would change.
DevJL 2 years ago
actually i know several people who have met him and say that Maynard is very softspoken and quiet. Rude was never in the description.
amoebazebra420 2 years ago
yes; he has been given one of those aura's of famous people that he is "above" you regardless of where you may be in life.
jadedangel369 2 years ago

message to all drunk screaming people: don't attend a tool concert, you ruin it for the people around you : )
zimmontivagus 3 years ago 3
amen!
laydeezman217 3 years ago 3
But, haven't you heard? That's the only way to have fun at a Tool show. It's not about experiencing their art, it's about how loud YOU can sing. Please realize this is sarcasm.
MinxMatt 3 years ago
respect. if you attend a tool concert, shut the fuck up and listen.
tonytwotime 3 years ago
I wonder if having the crowd sing along screws them up
janken919 3 years ago
It's annoying, that's for damn sure. Let Maynard do the singing, that's what he's there for.
ThomasAAllen 3 years ago
yeah Tool is not a "sing along" band. they're a think along and feel along band.
1satyagraha1 3 years ago
Im pretty sure they have in-ear monitors, they probably can't hear anything but themselves. I think all bands doing big arenas do this now days. The echo alone in the building would screw them up. :)
wooke1906 3 years ago
Singing along to your favorite band's songs is a part of being a fan.
It's all in how you interpret their music, and if that involves singing with or making whatever noises you make, then so be it.
I can't hear anything but the band when I'm there watching them dish out 1 million watts of power!
Just 'cause fans disrupt the VIDEO a little bit doesn't you have to dis their fans for being good fans who actually know the lyrics
nuclearjesus 3 years ago
Nothing wrong with singing along until the singing along infringes on the enjoyment I get from listening. Maynard said he hates touring in the US because ppl wont shut up at concerts

Oh my god.. shut up about the stupid encores. Consider yourself lucky you've been to see them at all. I have seen them 12 times since 1989. In case some of you kiddies don't know, they broke up and its damn close a miracle the got back together. So please.. Consider every show you see an encore.
jigantic53202 3 years ago
wow u must of seen them at their 'opiate' days, wud of been interesting, saw them last year pretty awesome live...wouldnt mind seeing them again...

jssclvstool 3 years ago
they don't don encores because they want people to see them again and again again...its all about leaving people and them wanting more from you. its actually really smart on their part.
crappy1 3 years ago
I'd want to see Tool again and again even if they did play encores..
inthegarage53 3 years ago
the drummer from big business is Coady Willis by the way.
Soytaco 3 years ago
There are no encores in spirtual journeys.
