  • What a waste of video time!!!

  • was this the smae one i shot by the Mcdonalds? i cant remember

  • @amtrak3501 nope. this one is located on the eastern edge of town at Jaycee Park.

  • Its actually called nonfunctioning I think

  • cool they used these siren during the for the cold war for the civil defence to warn about soviet attacks after the cold war they started using the for tornados since the chances of a nuclear attack went away

  • Either the AR controller was broke or it didn't pick up the radio signal.

  • It was a radio receiver problem, wasn't it?

  • wish Washington, IL still had their thunderbolts grew up hearing them replaced em all few years ago they replaced the more problematic ones first ive watched em replace thunderbolt with another tunderbolt when i was growing up my dad was in charge of keepin them running in Washington so went out with him everyonce in a while saw him work on them and replace em. I miss them

  • The siren's probably still haunted by the Cuban Missile Crisis to go off! lol

  • and why did u film a broken siren

  • I thought the siren wasn't broken before I got there. I thought it would activate, but it never did. The siren is working fine now.

  • Nice 2/3T22 in the background.

  • Love the sound of the 3T22/2T22 in the background, those sound so awesome far off.

My idea is maybe the tone decoder just didn't decode the tones correctly. Well, better luck next time!

  • Next Test get the 2T22

  • I was planning to record a 1000T (not this one) and the 2t22 blending together (like in the all-clear video)

  • Does this siren still have a siratrol on it or is it equpped with a later model FC or other controller/decoder. Siratrol's are notoriously unreliable.

  • The siren is controlled by a switch at our Fire department building. It has a timer on it that sets it off right at 10 AM. When it's 10 AM, it sends our radio waves that activate the sirens all at once. For some reason, this thunderbolt did not recieve the signal at 10 AM.

  • Did you report it?

  • No I didn't. I figured the fire department already well knew about the problem. When the siren activates, it sends a response to the fire department that it activated.

  • @matteng1997 You might want to report that.

  • oh that a shame good luck next time how long have the two thunderbolt 1000T and a xT22 for?

  • The thunderbolt has been up since the late 70s, but the 2t22 was put up last year.

  • Sorry to hear that the Thunderbolt 1000T failed. You got a nice system recording, though. :)

  • I think the radio transmission didn't get sent right to the Thunderbolt. That's what happened to that 2001-130 I tried to record last January. Other then that excellent system recording Matt.

  • Thank you. I was wondering why it wouldn't sound. I knew that it wasn't broken though since I heard it working last test.
