yes technically it wasn't "snow" but as this article says if it looks like snow, feels like snow then what is it; smh.com.au/news/national/it-looked-like-snow-it-felt-like-snow/2008/07/27/1217097051268.html
It was a few years ago now but I think it got down to 0 over night, so maybe that was the cause for the snow like feel.
Been to Canada remember having a blizzard while I was there and walking along a path cut into the snow with it towering above me on both sides.
This is different, a one in a 150 year event, snow in Sydney. Usually the coldest it gets is +5 degrees celcius, so snow is phenominal, like having a 45 degree day in Canada I suppose.
@changlinn LOL, So you've been to Canada, and so you now know what REAL SNOW looks like from that Canadian blizzard you said you were in, and you still think that this is snow?? Can't you tell the difference between Snow and hail?
@muh6666 It was as close to snow as we will get in Sydney. It wasn't hail as it was finer than hail. If you know what Celsius is, then you will know how rare a 45 degree celsius day would be in say Alaska/Canada, this was impressive because it was so rare.
its graupel.
