Wow Colleen you have such gorgeous voice and way of singing!! Electroharmonix make nice pedals, i have the octaver for guitar, it has such a smooth tracking . With this pedal (i'm still waiting on the mail for it..) if you play a chord and sing a vowel and then you change the chord but don't change the vowel would it track and change smoothly the harmonies?? Also,i rather sing the harmonies layered than use this but can i switch in place of mike instrument & vversa to make weird sounds? Thanks!

@superreverbfreak Hi! Yes, it has a 1/4" input and output and an XLR input and output. So you can plug your guitar and a mic into it. I've noticed that it works best with a clean tone input into it, it has a bit of trouble with the more complex tones on my keyboard (maybe it's the overtones? I don't know). Let me know if you do try it out! good luck!

Being the pessimist that I am, I wasn't expecting much when I clicked on this video, but I must say, that was excellent. I expected the voice box to be cheesy sounding. I was wrong. You did such a great version of that song. You made it translate really well to piano and vocals. I'd pick up one of those Voice Boxes in a heartbeat IF ONLY I COULD SING!!! Sorry to keep bugging you. I have another couple of questions:

• Can the harmonies be triggered by the chords you play? Or are they just a preset you choose before you start the song?

• How can you handle a song that moves from major to minor, or pentatonic?

- Yes the harmonies are triggered by the chords you play. You can input a guitar or a keyboard (or likely many other instruments.. I haven't gotten that creative) into the box, and it will match up with the chords you play

- it handles pretty nicely with songs moving through different scales, as it matches with what you're playing on the instrument. So long as the melody sort of goes with the backup music, it works out great!

Very nice! Do you know if the new V256 can do all that the Voice Box can? I want to try some Imogen Heap "Hide and Seek" stuff, and don't know which box would work better.

Both do Vocoding. The V256 does auto-tuning and some other stuff, (No harmonies I don't think) and the Voice Box does harmonies. :) In my opinion the voice box is better.

The V256 is better as a vocoder. :) It has more options as a vocoder (it has about 6 settings I think?), but then again that is all it is. The Voice Box does harmonies as well, but is has less options as a vocoder. (Only 1)
