My thory for the dark knight rises is when wayne is talking to gordon, Gordon first says, "batman must come back" and wayne says, "what if he doesnt exist anymore?" I believe after that, wayne tells gordon he is batman. Thats when gordon then says, "we were in this together and then you were gone." So i think wayne tells gordon that he is the batman!!!
