Using your logic, by being Christian, when the person says God they believe in only one god, therefore they mean the Christian God. In the opposite way a person can use Allah and not mean Islam specifically. While what you say might be true in an Islamic country, Allah does not hold the same meaning in the U.S. Its meaning is area specific.

The word Liberal as applied to a political stance is not simply the definition in the dictionary. Just like the definition of republican doesnt reflect the political views of the party itself. Progressive reform socially would mean a society where NOBODY is denied rights and bigotry does not exist, in other words a perfect utopia. I know in the Islamic faith there are thousands of names for God. Allah is just one. You want a couple more arabic ones: Ar-Razzaq, Al-Fattah, Al-'Alim, Al-Qabid, etc. I have arab christian friends, yep, they all God Allah. You don't have to ask anybody just read an Arabic translation of the Bible. Genesis 1.1 and you will find the word Allah used instead of God. Whether the name originated from a pagan god or not is not important. The fact is, when speaking in Arabic, Muslims, Christians and Jews use the word Allah to refer to God.

Not really... it use to be the fillabuster was only used sparingly. The last 2 years, with Democrats in Congress, there has been a record number hosted by the Republicans. There are ways through a fillabuster, but they're noteably more difficult than the 'normal' way of doing things.
We're sick of all the games too... the Reps are just using it as a vindictive weapon at this point. They just fillabuster everything, which is ridiculous.

God.... My new US. No filibuster. Everyone elected to represent people by vote you is REQUIRED to vote in every single vote. No non voting no voting present.... none of that. No commuting sentences, no pardons (executive circumventing judicial branch). No signing statements (president circumventing legislative branch). Not one bomb dropped anywhere in the world without a declaration of war by both houses of Congress... No "police action" bullshit.

The ironic part is that even Christians call God: Allah in Arabic... because God translated into Arabic is Allah.
Likewise the French have a word for God in French: dieu
Spanish: Dios
