@WietskeJohanna They're totally different characters. Pino is just Big Bird's Dutch cousin. Big Bird has been around longer than Pino, and has also been in The Muppet Show as well as several movies including his very own feature film called 'Follow That Bird'. He was also the only non-human to speak at the memorial for Jim Henson (the creator of everything Sesame Street/Muppets, etc), showing what a legendary character he is. You can see bits of the movie and jim henson memorial on youtube.
