@ProChoiceJesus I think that's known as "Ghetto Jive". It's popular in the ghetto, but pretty much useless and un-decipherable to anyone who doesn't eat kraft dinner. I eat it occasionally, hence my slight understanding of the matter...
The stage is still down. It looks like they haven't even touch the stage. The Sugarland trailer is still there. I was there like 2 weeks ago. It made me so sad to see it still down.
I was there with one of my best friends and i cried for like 3 days nonn stop because she was standing right to me but she broke 3 of her ribs but i was perfectly fine i felt so bad because i toke here there and it makes me so mad how people think its funny.
Someone I know was actually at the concert. She said they were having the people leave through the back of the bleachers so they could get the people to a safe place until the storm passed. But while everyone was crowding to get off the bleachers the stage collapsed in front of the bleachers.
that audio visual reinforcement company who was contracted should get fucked out of business... how can you fuck up flying lights and hung speakers? jesus....
I live in northwest Indiana, and I've been stuck in the car in a storm much worse than this. Four trees almost crushed our car. I feel so lucky now after seeing this, but I find it terrible that in a slightly less worse storm, four people died. I send my love to the families of the now seven people who died.
"hey sugarland are you sure you wanna have the concert tonight theres gonna be 70mph winds?" "screw the wind!" fucking sugarland dumb asses cost 4 ppl their lives
Actually 4 minutes before it collapsed, security got on stage and announced the dangers of the high winds. People didn't listen. Plus if Sugarland wouldn't have had the 'Sugar Pit' where people can buy seats right against the stage, there probably would have been less casualties or even none at all..
I live 3 hours away an i blame the state fair they should had know the storm was coming and not had had the people in front of the stage in the first place like what were they thinking they could be the show im rain lightnight and wind???? just amazing that the state fair could be so laazy and careless R.I.P the 6 who died
I was at the concert & seated 6 rows from the stage. We had very little, if any cell signal & weren't able to check the weather. There was a Severe Thunderstorm warning out 20 minutes before the stage collapsed & we were never notified by fair officials. We wer' nt standing in a storm or highwinds what happened, happened VERY quickly without warning. If you weren't there you can't come close to grasping what those of us in attendance experienced. RIP to those lost & quick recovery to the injured

Guys, I live in Indianapolis. I was going to be at that concert. My ticket was for the terrace level (Where the stage fell onto). I caught a very bad cold and decided to stay home.
If you would read or listen to all the reports online you would know that one of the fair executes was on the way to the stage to call the concert off not really there fault for going with what the nws mets told them. the storm got there 26 minutes ahead of anticipated time which would most likely have been enough time to get people to shelter. and seting up stages from my experience is that all bolts get torched to a safe amount
Why is everyone so upset over this video. If the people who had died and was injured at that concert were black no one would give a damn whether Famous and Slim laughed or not.
I don't understand this either. People who live in places that have severe thunderstorms and tornados just run around despite weather warnings, and obvious high winds. can anyone take this serious at all peopel lsot there one and only life due to unpredictable weather, lack of emergency plans, and pure ignorance the words a anouncer said right ebfore the collapse was " have a nice show " the people are not at fault here and this was truely a tradgedy and maroon 5 is holding a benefit concert and you can donate to families whos loved ones died at myindychannel dotcom nto to pressure or solicite my prayers go otu to those affected while i deal with anxiety mysel
No sense in calling those people idiots for standing there when it was storming. Those 5 people are dead now, leave them be. You people wouldn't be saying this stuff if your mom, dad, sister or brother was one of the 5 that died.
ok the wind is a random isolated straight line wind... the lines holding it snapped after 75 mph winds. it is not the state fairs fault it came 30 minutes before the storm came. the stage is a temporary stage but was very sturdy...the video di not do justice, the stage fell slowly with loud noises of popping wires and chords holding the stage...if you wouldve been there you would actually understand
seriously? you guys are most fucking racist people ever, show some fucking respect for at least once. if it was you or a family member under that stage or even dead, how would you feel happy? glad? feel the fucking pain for these people trying to have a good time & they didnt!
look at all those speakers on the right land on those people. my guess is the guy in the blue shirt is the security guard that was killed. And look at the little kid running thru the seats and get wiped out in the same location.
It is still very sad to see this video.. I was there down in the vip section with my kids and they were telling us to go and that's what we were all trying to do but weather is very unpredictable and with a gush of 77mph wind it was all over.. as you can see everyone came together to help those in need.. I think people who laughed at this or say Stupid comments about any tragedy need to really rethink themselves.. This is heartbreaking for anyone to see or be there!!
This storm blew in FAST!! They did make an announcement directing people where to go in case an evacuation was needed. By the time they made the decision to evacuate, it was too late. These were 70mph winds. My patio table blew over in 2 seconds and the glass top shattered everywhere. The stage was sturdy....but it IS a mobile stage, not designed to be permanent, therefore it could not withstand winds of that speed. It was a tragic accident and no one should be blamed.
@trumptight99. I would never call anyone a "nigger". I have too much class for that! I'm not some ignorant person! My parents raised me to have respect for everyone no matter color or race or religion. I am a very intelligent and polite. Anyone who wants to say something bad about my opinion or my friend dying can go fuck themselves! -guess I'm stoopin to yalls level now
@joanmurgita66 I am sick and tired of you red-neck ignorant, perverted, pedohile white motherfuckers with your racist comments. I have never known a stage to fall down at a rappers concert because those people have enough money to make sure there stages infrastructure is sturdy enough not to blow the fuck over.
@joanmurgita66 Unlike this country ass concert. Rappers can afford to pay for stages that can withstand gale force winds. In other words rappers make enough money to have a stage with a sturdy infrastructure.
@joanmurgita66 Stages don't fall down at a rapper's concert because they have the money and resources to afford a stage that can stand against the wind. You see they can afford a stage with a study infrastructure. Also at a rapper's concert Black people would of had enough sense to leave when they saw a storm of that magnitude coming.
Living here, you should understand that Indiana weather is very unpredictable. Thunderstorm warnings happen on a weekly basis and is no longer looked upon as a major threat. THAT is why the fair was not evacuated. If no tragedy would have happened no one would have been criticizing that judgement call. The storm moved in at a quick pace, to where no one would have ever expected something this tragic to come about. Instead of criticizing the actions of others, we should be praying for those lost.
@smore94 Yep but not an excuse. This should be something planned for in any case. By the way Indiana is not a mid-western state. They are on Eastern time
You assholes obviously dont live in Indiana. We have tornado sirens go off all the time, theres always storms, theres always high winds. No one gives a fuck anymore. We ignore all bad weather because nothing ever happens. So no, they didn't cancel the show. Why the fuck would they? You guys are douche bags.
Look at the comments here folks....our society is whacked. People are dead on the ground and people are advertising sexual web sites and using racist comments etc...
And you wonder why God let's this happen. It's an indictment on our society. I'm white but these two brothers are reporting the news for us which we all should be thankful for
@MatrixFactoryGuy I don't think God controls as much as we think...there is no way he'd be letting that many evil people have power in this world without letting stages collapse on them, so to speak...no this stage collapse on seemingly innocent people...this was no work of God, just an accident.
BTW I've seen real news stations on TV cover this story, and they at least put the video in for us to witness the tragedy. This isn't news this is commentary with a false title to gain exposure.
@MatrixFactoryGuy I agree with you on one thing though...our society is whacked...very polluted and poisoned...blacks and whites alike...all cultures...we've got issues..blacks think it's cool to be dumb, that's part of their culture and "ebonics"...school words are wack to blacks...white people are arogant and just as ignorant power hungry materialistic fools that are destroying the planet...but everyones playing their role in materialism that the whit man created..i shant continue ranting
The weather was great until just before a storm formed nearly on top of the fairgrounds. To insinuate that they should have known what was coming and cancelled the concert or closed the fair is assinine and shows ignorance beyond words. This is the midwest in August. Things can change quickly, and they did.
@sportgalpink13 I was just being as ignorant to him/her as he/she was being to whites. If you're going to judge an entire race against what a few people of that race say, then that makes you an idiot. Same way with people thinking that all black people are like gangsters just because that's what you see a lot of the time. It's stupid people. I wasn't trying to make a racial gesture, just putting that person in their place.
yeah you seriously do have a faggot nigger voice and I wouild guess your name is LaTrell or KeShawn and are a generally gay nigger. I dont want to listen to your nigger voices while you're shoving gerbils up eachothers asses, you cumguzzing nigger queers.
All you niggers need to STFU. Niggers love the chance to get behind a microphone. This video was the biggest waste of time. I know what a nigger is, where I'm from, it's someone with black skin... LOFL.
@hlhatfield07 actually they were TRYING to.so many people were crowded beside the stage that it was very difficult to get the people out. They were doing their best, but not everyone who was in the front would have gotten out until a half an hour after the show was canceled.when you have that many people crowded up like that, making an organized and safe evacuation is sometimes difficult. So, you dont know what your talking about. Read the news and then comment on someones stuff
your ignorant more then him with your profanity and do you even know what the word nigger means look it up you will find out that's your a one ignorant attitude ignorant person not to mention your slurs against gay people go look in the mirror find god maybe your gay lol
@MISSiAMjuliet its up to 6 now... a light operator and another person died at the hospital and a dust storm kicked up out of nowhere... there was a dust storm from strong winds 12 miles ahead of the storm thats why they couldent evacuate but still they should of tried it was really hell there... i framed my ticket and a copy of the sunday paper and now im having anxiety issues but hopefully changes will be made to learn from this its nice to see some compation instead of onyl ignorance thanks.
@Sallyallie89 I was just saying that in a general statement. But this video sure seems like they are trying to blame someone. I live just north of Indy and the winds picked up way before the rain even started. In any normal storm the winds would come when the rain starts or just before it. I don't think that I have ever experienced the winds so far ahead of a storm. Anything "big" event that happens the public is to quick to make statements without knowing the whole story.
@kaymell1 It does, but from my perspective this will hopefully be a learning experience for those who run the shows nontheless. They'll learn that when winds are as strong as they are to cancel the concert. Some audience members, from what I read, were actually surprised that they didn't cancel because the winds were very very very bad.
I have come to the conclusion that some people must not get any attention from their families or friends. To be honest they probably dont have any friends.Thats why they have to say hurtful things. Its the only way they can have conversation with the rest of the world. But also keep in mind thats why you DONT have any friends because what you say is meeninglis to the rest of us. No one cares what you have to say so just go back and wait on your check from the welfare that we pay for...
Who are people to question the ways of GOD? He has a divine plan for everyone. They probably deserved it, because god works in mysterious ways. It was their time, and as a good Christian, I find this music to be the voice of GOD, and it punished the sinners with GODS steel wrath to those who deny his existence.
Listen to the voice of god, and be forever saved from ETERNAL damnation!!!
@ploothable HEEYY Stop using Gods name for your own will, you have no clue what God's will is, try reading the bible, it tells us that only God can do the judging, but to be saying that God did this on purpose is ignorant, because you really don't know what happened here. It could've been a stage not properly set. I believe in God, but saying things like that is what gives us a bad name... Want to save people?? Show testimonial and love, and treat others like you want to be treated...
"I got friends under stages, where the roof top falls and there's crushed faces, yes I got friends...under stages" - Sugarland or Garth Brooks,,,can't remember.
@dewlove Another mad white person.. smart people don't breed.. wouldn't want any of my bloodline living in a world where people like you are allowed to walk the street!
uh, what's with all the dislikes and hate? They're talking about how it was a horrible even - they aren't making fun of it or anything... fucking idiots...
Guys, put your shit aside and THINK! THINK calis! THINK! DON'T BE AFRAID TO DO REASEARCH AND THING! Park whatever your doing and begin the journey of your lifetime! They'lll probably blame some Diety for this (Jehovah, Allah, Shiva, Kali, Baphomet, O'Yamma, Krishna, CEO of Canadian Tire,/Waltermart...or you can do your research on H.A.A.R.P. Take your pick! (...however, make sure you choose wisely!) I'd like to question [ahem] Pat Robertson on Haiti, Japan, Chile, pertaining to H.A.A.R.P.!
I dont know whats worse watching this or reading the comments after. The whole thing makes me sick! The person who posted that they are happy that there are five less ignorant people, who the hell are you? If anyone is ignorant its you mr hurtsell!!!!!!!
What does being Black or gay have to do with anything?! Ignorance comes in all shapes, sizes, races, and sexual preferences. The appropriate thing to do is rant about the comedic tone that was used to discuss such a tragic event. I am Black and also unfamiliar with Sugarland but I do know that 5 people losing their lives is not funny. Ignoring the tragedy to focus on race or sexual orientation is equally as ignorant as making light of lives lost. Let's spend time praying for the families.
@DntULuvIt7897 no shit..black,white,brown,yellow,queer,straight,fat,thin,tall or short..we all bleed red.The bottom line 4 people left their homes, told their loves ones they will be home later...went to see a band they enjoyed and never made it out of the event. its fuckin tragic.
I'm sure you black bastards don't know who Sugarland is. Of course you laughed. You pieces of shit always think the most inappropriate things are funny.
@perfontaine1 A bit harsh, but what I don't understand is they are continuing their tour! How in the hell can you still get up on stage and sing your little so-called popular songs after such a tragedy? I couldn't do it. I would at least have to reschedule all the tour dates for the next month or 2.
the commenters said they were laughing that they were still having the state fair. Here's the facts. They announced that they were under a severe thunderstorm warning and that there were 3 out buildings open for them to seek shelter. The storm was still 10 minutes away, but this wind gust was ahead of the storm. The majority of the viewers didn't take the shelter as advised. Structures like that can't withstand 70 mph straight winds. The chuckling is inappropriate so are their comments.

@Ricopolico And YOU, sir, have no appreciation of the idea that Sugarland are expressing REAL grief, and a REAL feeling of condolence for their fans.
"Requisite statement"? What would you rather they do; express delight? Maybe express relief that there weren't more people killed?
NO. I don't accept the idea that people are that shallow in the face of tragedy. It is YOU who have a very bad view of humanity, sir. God forgive you.

No sense in calling those people idiots for standing there when it was storming. Those 5 people are dead now, leave them be. You people wouldn't be saying this stuff if your mom, dad, sister or brother was one of the 5 that died.

cory19720 6 months ago 2
ok the wind is a random isolated straight line wind... the lines holding it snapped after 75 mph winds. it is not the state fairs fault it came 30 minutes before the storm came. the stage is a temporary stage but was very sturdy...the video di not do justice, the stage fell slowly with loud noises of popping wires and chords holding the stage...if you wouldve been there you would actually understand

seriously? you guys are most fucking racist people ever, show some fucking respect for at least once. if it was you or a family member under that stage or even dead, how would you feel happy? glad? feel the fucking pain for these people trying to have a good time & they didnt!
MsN3rdz 6 months ago
look at all those speakers on the right land on those people. my guess is the guy in the blue shirt is the security guard that was killed. And look at the little kid running thru the seats and get wiped out in the same location.
TackerVideos 6 months ago
It is still very sad to see this video.. I was there down in the vip section with my kids and they were telling us to go and that's what we were all trying to do but weather is very unpredictable and with a gush of 77mph wind it was all over.. as you can see everyone came together to help those in need.. I think people who laughed at this or say Stupid comments about any tragedy need to really rethink themselves.. This is heartbreaking for anyone to see or be there!!

Why on gods green earth wouldn't they cancel the concert !?
Startrakk989 6 months ago
This storm blew in FAST!! They did make an announcement directing people where to go in case an evacuation was needed. By the time they made the decision to evacuate, it was too late. These were 70mph winds. My patio table blew over in 2 seconds and the glass top shattered everywhere. The stage was sturdy....but it IS a mobile stage, not designed to be permanent, therefore it could not withstand winds of that speed. It was a tragic accident and no one should be blamed.

QuitHatin22 6 months ago
@joanmurgita66 Unlike this country ass concert. Rappers can afford to pay for stages that can withstand gale force winds. In other words rappers make enough money to have a stage with a sturdy infrastructure.
perfontaine1 6 months ago

And you wonder why God let's this happen. It's an indictment on our society. I'm white but these two brothers are reporting the news for us which we all should be thankful for
can't we all get along
MatrixFactoryGuy 6 months ago
@MatrixFactoryGuy I don't think God controls as much as we think...there is no way he'd be letting that many evil people have power in this world without letting stages collapse on them, so to speak...no this stage collapse on seemingly innocent people...this was no work of God, just an accident.
BTW I've seen real news stations on TV cover this story, and they at least put the video in for us to witness the tragedy. This isn't news this is commentary with a false title to gain exposure.
inshepherdswetrust 6 months ago
@MatrixFactoryGuy I agree with you on one thing though...our society is whacked...very polluted and poisoned...blacks and whites alike...all cultures...we've got issues..blacks think it's cool to be dumb, that's part of their culture and "ebonics"...school words are wack to blacks...white people are arogant and just as ignorant power hungry materialistic fools that are destroying the planet...but everyones playing their role in materialism that the whit man created..i shant continue ranting
inshepherdswetrust 6 months ago
The weather was great until just before a storm formed nearly on top of the fairgrounds. To insinuate that they should have known what was coming and cancelled the concert or closed the fair is assinine and shows ignorance beyond words. This is the midwest in August. Things can change quickly, and they did.

@sportgalpink13 I was just being as ignorant to him/her as he/she was being to whites. If you're going to judge an entire race against what a few people of that race say, then that makes you an idiot. Same way with people thinking that all black people are like gangsters just because that's what you see a lot of the time. It's stupid people. I wasn't trying to make a racial gesture, just putting that person in their place.

hlhatfield07 6 months ago
@hlhatfield07 actually they were TRYING to.so many people were crowded beside the stage that it was very difficult to get the people out. They were doing their best, but not everyone who was in the front would have gotten out until a half an hour after the show was canceled.when you have that many people crowded up like that, making an organized and safe evacuation is sometimes difficult. So, you dont know what your talking about. Read the news and then comment on someones stuff

Anything "big" event that happens the public is to quick to make statements without knowing the whole story.
kaymell1 6 months ago
@kaymell1 It does, but from my perspective this will hopefully be a learning experience for those who run the shows nontheless. They'll learn that when winds are as strong as they are to cancel the concert. Some audience members, from what I read, were actually surprised that they didn't cancel because the winds were very very very bad.
Sallyallie89 6 months ago

Let's spend time praying for the families.

the commenters said they were laughing that they were still having the state fair.
