  • great idea, im gona do the same on my mountainbike but wrap it in clingfilm for waterproofness :D

  • nice vid, unfortunately will not work for me ,i do not have around shape handlebars,zzr1400 has got short fixed bars

  • Good idea. Yeah, use a Nylock nut against the PVC cap and reverse the wingnut to snug against the camera bottom; this prevents striping the camera threads.

  • i dont have 5 bucks

  • would it not be easier to buy one there only about $4. and they work really well. Just search bike camera mount on ebay would like but youtube won't let me

  • YOUR THE MAN. Headed to hardware store now.

  • Nice job! Just what I was looking for!

  • great idea!

  • Check out MOTO-D Racing Sportbike GPS Camera Mounts for high-performance riding!

  • i would use a larger 1/4 bolt and use 2 wingnuts, one for adjust to the handlebar and another one upside down so it thightens the adjustment in the camera

or you could use a regular nut and the wingnut upside down

im sorry if my english sucks

  • this doesnt work for sports bikes, does it? T_T

  • @bloodmoneyXIII Nop. :/

  • yay my mino can now be attached to my bike

  • Not a bad idea... I think I would have gone with a regular nut instead of a wing nut so that there was not the two wings as the only support on the bottom of the camera. Maybe also use 3 nuts -- 1 to hold the bolt tight to the PVC screw cap and then double nutted at the top so that you could adjust the camera left-to-right angle more easily. By double nutting it, you can lock the nut in place.

  • @grumman581 thanks, I'll try as you say, "double nutting it" next time. LOL

  • @spoonyfork Technically, you would be double nutting the top. The bottom only needs a single nut. You need two wrenches to do it right since you are binding the two nuts together. This works a lot better than a lock washer for situations where you want to lock a nut in place. I would also put a thick fender washer with maybe a thin piece of neoprene or rubber glued to it between the top nut and the bottom of the camera. The fender washer would give you a wider support area.

  • @spoonyfork and the neoprene or rubber would half protect the bottom of your camera.

  • Fantastic idea it is reallty a DIY! Congratulations

  • Vielen Dank!

  • Loved it

  • nice neighborhood.

  • Thank you!

  • Way to cross thread your camera there mate. Nice idea tho. (Y)

  • @dunstansking

as long as it is 1/4-20 thread hes fine

  • this is exactly what i needed. got sick of strapping my tripod to my tank bag and having it slide around making the video bumpier than it should be...thanks

  • now make one for sportbikes with no bar space...

  • and if you by chance make it to 6.02Mph it's a god way to lose your camera...you need something on the bolt to press against the camera from bellow so it would be safely hold in place and not effected by vibrations or the wind

  • I will be doing this for my dirtbike lol :)

    Cheers Mate

    PBoy
