No offense to any fans of this opera / play or whatever but personally I think the American idiot cast ruins all of Green Days songs..... like.... they failed so epicly at singing this that its not even funny and all the other green day songs.  Not trying to troll, just a green day fan and expressing my opinion on a video.

@Phenomanonn okay i understand that you are expressing your opinion and i like that , but you should know that billie joe armstrong, the lead singer of green day, helped with thecreation of the show by not only obviously writing the lyrics to the songs, but also writing the book and writing the styles that the cast should sing. They didn't fail epicly because they are all brooadway trained. also, when someone is being vocally trained, they are not only broadway trained, but they are also

@Phenomanonn trained to sing rock music and pop music, etc. like my vocal teacher, most vocal teachers try to push their students to be able to nopt only sing broadway, but also to sing pop, rock, country, etc. songs. Also, billie was in the show back in last september for one week as St. jimmy, and in the show from last January, until when the show closed last April. He is now currently reprising his role as St. Jimmy in the movie version that they are now filming as well.

green day is AWESOME

the only thing i hate is when they´re performing together, like at the 2010 grammys or last of the american girls in the football stadium, or at the tony awards , than the cast is ruining the green day songs but when the cast performs alone they are a way better and then i like the way they sing the gd songs

@merbethmango ugh. Oh I wish I had been in your place :3 I just asked my mom if she'd get me JGJ for my birthday, and she said sure. Then I told her he was from SA and she said the she would never give me him. :( (she's not what you would call a big fan of the show :P)

@tonkslupin103103 wow. My mom obviously doesn't hate a musical that has sex, foul language, and mainstream rock music because she took me to go see American Idiot which is now my FAVORITE musical ! I aspire to be on broadway someday, and if I am, I would love to be in American Idiot. Whatsername (played by Rebecca Naomi Jones who is the girl who first started singing in this video) , is my DREAM role ! Next would be Mimi Marquez from Rent, Wendla from Spring Awakening, ...

Then and now played by Jeeana De Waal who I saw when I saw the show on December 21st) from American Idiot, then Extroadinary Girl (recently played by Christina Sajous up until february 26th. I met her after the show and she was so sweet! now played by Libby Winters) from American Idiot . Also, John Gallagher Jr and Michael Esper who played Will just recently left on February 27th along with Billie Joe ...
