Yes, in fact Food Lion is the fourth largest grocery company in the United States (by store count anyway) with about 1,300 locations.

Well by store count it goes: Supervalu with 2,475 stores. Then Kroger with 2,474 stores. Followed by Safeway with 1,740 stores. Then of course Food Lion with 1,300+ stores.(According to their websites).
