Justin Martyr was responding to the Romans who were persecuting the Christians for their belief in a virgin birth when the Romans had these beliefs in Jupiters sons and Perseus that were just as crazy as a virgin birth.

Love the colorized old black & white Jesus movie. Hilarious! But even funnier is the idea put forth in this video that Livy (59BC-17AD) made no mention of Jesus in his writings. How could he be expected to comment on Jesus when Christ is not supposed to have begun his public ministry until after Livy had died? Did the videographer expect Livy to resurrect so that he might pooh-pooh the resurrection of Jesus? "The Jesus Mysteries" (Amazon, $10) better explains the pagan predecessors of Christ.
