for the people that say John doesn't take risks did you see his last tour..he's the boldest artist on stage he is not afraid to let loose and play what he feels is right for him in that moment..even with the risk of alienating his audience..and that never happens he's that good.this men knows where it's at..also the way he express himself .he's got that army strategic command chip.he's a fucking maniac ,well you get the point.

Thank you for this, I was fortunate enough to see him during both the Winter and Summer tours; and when he played Voodoo Child my friends and I were blown away. It was completely unexpected and it just goes to show that JM is down to take risks and criticism (because he can back it up.) And I say he'll take criticism because anyone who dares to brave that song will get slammed by every die hard Hendrix or Srv fan who won't let go of their generation. I love both of those players..

but new generations of guitar players (JM, Bonamassa, White, Trucks, Fruscciante,) are here and they need to be embraced. My point; JM played that song knowing it would be loved and criticized&most musicians these days, or should I say "Pop Puppets," won't even write their own tunes. JM is untouchable right now and he's doing whatever he can to play his best and bring back the greats. Voodoo Child live blew me away and legit playing needs to be credited when its been done.
