  • Tori is just as AMAZING now as she was in High School when she sang in Georgetown on the weekends. Her style of music may have changed with the times, but her talent has not -- she's still AMAZING... :-) And, there's only one (1) thing that's more amazing than her voice and that's her HEART!!! She cares about everyone in the world, including the people that don't like her...

RMHS 81, we still love you Ellen (oops), Tori...

  • Tori ... my love .. simply amazing!

  • I guess it's normal to wish for days of old. I just get so exasperate when I hear her old fans wishing for the 'old Tori'. They are not the same, so why do they expect her to be. Truth is, if she were still the same, unchanged-by-living, Little Earthquakes-Tori, they'd decry her inability to grow, as her fans have grown. It is also normal to outgrow certain musicians. Perhaps that's what u guys have done, and that's fine, just stop wishing for Janet J. or Mariah C: unchanged!

  • well said tori

  • Right on!

  • I wish she would take it back to just her and her piano - I don't know if we'll ever get another album like Little Earthquakes.

  • @jenniferchocolat I think the same...

  • @jenniferchocolat Little Earthquakes - Boys For Pele were three solid albums.

  • @IrishSpade oh please, be quiet troll.

  • @IrishSpade *snicker* oh, you poor, poor child. XD

  • i love her! and she looks soo pretty

  • I think she may be the most beautiful sexy woman I've ever had the priviledge of seeing live.

Two organs at once while visions of her nursing a piglet boar through my mind.

  • Callouschristian: I COULD NOT agree more! When seeing her live I realised her 'nubility' far exceeded every preconception. She's so like sultry when on-stage, exuding such pure artistic passion. She literally embodies every note played, & every word sung. To someone like myself, another (aspiring) songwriter/producer, that does way more than anything Hugh Hefner could contrive.

She's my Muse to Earth descended. Before whom I stand, transfixed forever within the grasp of her Siren Song.

  • Tori's written word came to mind: "how light can play and form a ring of rain that can change bows into arrows (i found a thrill) who we were isn't lost before we were us indigo in his own blue always knew this if the rain has to separate from itself does it say pick out your cloud"
  • close your eyes when you listen...you could swear they are interviewing Michele Phifer

  • excuse me but who ich Michele Phifer???

TORI ! WE LOVE YOU !

  • i love youuuuuu frommm chileee

  • Oh come on do you really think she talks like this at home?! 'Hmmm ohh pass the toilet paper...' YEAH RIGHT. lol

  • OMG AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I bust out laughing every time I see this comment!!!!!

  • haha! :P Yeah but its speaking and presenting yourself correct for the occasion and event isnt it lol :)

  • she is such a beautifull woman. and wise.

  • less make up and her natural hair looks younger and beautiful I think she doesnt need all the make up and lip gloss! or hair is that a wig?

  • That was beautiful said "farmboycarl"

Tori Amos is amazing, she is such a strong women and so stunning beautiful and always will be. I´m in love with her!

  • she is beautiful

  • Brilliant, and truly unique. She's so un-packaged it's refreshing. Her critics are always the same people whose thinking patterns have been laid out for them by mainstream media. I guess if you're a puppet or a clone, everything Tori Amos says must sound like a foreign language, but to those of us who can still hear clearly, she speaks and sings nothing but pure truth.

  • @farmboycarl couldn't agree more. also there's this bullshit concept that you can't be a healthy straight male and like her music. i suspect that has a lot to do with the mainstream thinking patterns you speak of. ever since i started seeing an analyst, i've been trying to look past these superficial notions of gender division and that we all have the masculine and feminine piece, sort of like ying and yang.

  • @wunderbeast Why does ying or yang have to be part of anything regarding music? The love of sound, beauty, smell, touch, are not controllable. My eldest brother is a Tupac freak. If it ain't Tupac, or at the very least, hip-hop, he's not interested. One day Madonna's 'Ray of Light' was on the tv while he was napping and the song was so powerful, it carried to his senses. He admitted to liking the song a lot, and trust me Madonna is ridicule worthy where he comes from and hangs out. Get my point?

  • @amuse4god i don't disagree with you but why are you attacking me? i'm simply pointing out that tori has made me get in touch with my feminine side. i like tupac too.

  • oh god i don't think she care she knows her self she is ONE OF THE BEST SINGER IN OUR TIME unless she talk about something something mean full not like the other how sing about oh don't leave me oh don't kik me

she is one of the most RESPECTABLE ARTIST IN OUR TIME U LIKE IT OR NOT

    LOVE U TORI

HERE NEW ALBUM GOD ALL THE SONGS GREAT I JUST CAN'T STOP TO LISTEN MAN SOOO GOOD

  • I like Tori too, but damn, learn to spell and what words MEAN! 'mean full'? Oh dear lord, what has happened to education? If English is your 2nd language, don't worry, you're doing ok, keep practicing...if not, well, don't reproduce.

  • dude give him a fucking break, english is his second language, what's yours?

  • I speak 4 languages, if you include sign. What's yours?

  • liar.

  • Uber MILF.

  • she is still amazing. She might not be on top anymore but dam come on she is still a pro and still doing what she loves...

    Antiocdespair, your a fuck face!

  • You have not the foggiest as to what the innerworkings of this industry really are. Sit down and shut the fuck up.

  • Tori Amos is a cunt man i worked one of her shows and was asked to leave while i was working in the theater while she was warming up. She's a fucking ruse man..

  • why u say shes a cunt" like she was Evil ?seems an intereting sensitive nice erotic Woman to me

  • She's not a ruse, she's a genius.

  • that's a retarded, pathetic, petty complaint.

  • Before you judge, ask for more details...how the hell do you know what happened?

  • I dunno, when I sing, I don't sound good til I warm up. Was she rude about it?

  • shee sooooooooo verry cute

  • I'm a mother, I understand...I've been there

  • I don't know if she's had botox or whatever but if you go back to her really old interviews and videos, she's never had alot of expression around the eyes or forehead.

Still a beautiful face. beautiful mind, beautiful artist.

  • Comment removed

  • She's turning into Anne Robinson.

  • Tori Amos is beautiful. Her music is beautiful.

  • Oh Tori. You speak with such confidence, but your face points to deep insecurity. Hard to take you seriously, these days. If you haven't found peace with yourself as a woman, why should we listen to the philosophies about women and strength that you've been spouting for 17 years?

  • Yo, 'donnerbrandpear', I just noticed you've gone to just about every Tori posting on YT and couldn't resist but leave a shitty comment. How the hell can you be so critical of someone when you can't even pick your nose, let alone a guitar or sing a song... just curious.

  • Every single one? Nope, just two. You probably had the same search results. The answer to your question: It's not a good argument that because you can't do someone's job, you are not allowed to criticize them. If that were so, no one would be allowed to say anything about the president because very few of us could do that job. I like Tori just fine, although she has lost something over the years and her face thing seems hypocritical to me. Sorry if that enrages you.

  • She hasn't lost anything. She's middle-aged now and what worked at 25 years of age doesn't work now. And what is this about "her face thing"? Sorry if that enrages you. You Americans. Most of you can never get past the physical at any price. Amazing.

  • Wow if you can't think of anything else to say, insult someone's nationality, huh? If you don't understand what I mean about her face, re-read the zillions of comments you apparently think I left. I get it, you like Tori Amos and think she is amazing. No arguments, really. BTW, she's American too, you know...

  • Are you mad?

  • she's groeing what the fuck i wrong with your face you have to attack some one whos helping people fuck you asshole get over yourself and make yourself better your God will love you

  • Wow is that English?

  • Wow, are you an ugly cunt?

  • Wtf? Tori was 45 in this video... A GORGEOUS 45 year old at that...

Whats wrong with you? I see you uploaded a video that your in... Look at your own video.. THATS UGLY

  • Another dipshit heard from. (((sigh)))

  • wow, did you graduate high school?

  • I can think of much else to say. But I'm blocked now, right? No balls on you.

  • Holy crap.. I hope she saved the receipt of the plastic surgeon.. I would go for a refund! Shame, cause she was really hot before they ruined her face.. Still a fantastic artist ofcourse.. but im really shocked at the state of her face.. I mean the eyelids, horribly done..

  • She's not a young woman anymore. I think she looks pretty in this interview, some recent photos of her make her look very tired and as if she hardly has any hair left anymore. That's why you shouldn't dye your hair constantly.

  • BULL SHITT

  • Oh, god... instead of talking about her music and what she's trying to achieve with her music, people are talking about BOTOX?!!! Shame on you all!!!

  • tori amos is always been beautiful and let's not forget she's in her 40's she looks great if she had anything done or not who cares she's still the goddess in the piano...

  • she has injected botox for about 5 years now. she looks better than before. she's awesome. I do enjoy her older music. Her new stuff Ifeel disconnected sometimes but I love "bouncing off clouds" so great I lisiened to it for an entire year!

  • Artists taking on the problems of the world... pfhhhh

  • Isn't that what art is: an imitation of life? Go look at a painting like Guernica by Pablo Picasso and look at the human suffering in the distorted faces. It was an outcry against the violation of his people during the Spanish Civil War. Or read the play Fences by August Wilson, which follows the hardships of an African American family growing up in the slums of Pittsburgh. This is what art is intended for--a pure and unadulterated view of the human condition. I honor her for her efforts.

  • Right. But when artists propose solutions to problems it is usually mumbo-jubmo. For example the jazz guitar genius Pat Metheny once asked who he would be if he didn't become a musician, replied "a politician". "I would help people by giving away money".

  • I will concede on that point. One should only pose solutions after educating oneself on every aspect of the problem. Still, I think this was more of a wish of hers rather than a solution. Although artists may not be the vehicle of change, they can be its catalyst. However, I would venture to guess that most are uninformed and ill equipped to make a difference. And that is a sad thing.

  • Tori is confident enough in herself that if she wants to have a little botox here and there, she's probably doing it for herself and no one else. So why care so much about it? She's a musical genius and I've loved her for years, have seen her live in concert 4 times.

  • Tori's so awesome - she is so right about the 'nurturing force'.

  • she is one of a kind...unique and beautiful...love her.

  • do you really think she had surgery i mean maybe some botox or fillers but surgery?? irrelevant really, if shes able to put her vanity on a shelf when shes making music then really who gives a shit

  • NIce plastic surgery- face, I miss her smooth and childish Face....

  • you all are such assholes. she's probably just aging or having health problems. her mama aged fast too. it aint like she had nose or lip augmentation.

  • She looks great one way or the other. She'll be ok.

  • there is the young the old ones but what about the ones caring for the middle ones

  • I think she went too deep into the human mind and it is consuming her. I feel like she's beginning to loose it, and I'm not talking about her talent but about her mind, her spirit... She deals with all kinds of personnalities, archetypes, difficulties, and violence of different types... it's too much for an single individual. That's probably why she gives me more and more the impression of loosing her soul; as if she was dead and alive at the same time.

  • Can people please give the 'plastic surgery' thing a break? Why the hell do you care if she wants to botox it up a bit, it's HER body not yours. Can't we all just focus on her wonderful musical talent and insightful interviews?

  • she lost somewhere between :10 and 2:37

  • I don't think it's fair to compare her to a "versace-melt".

Or do you only accept lip and trout pout?

  • I was actually thinking the same! I watched two of her new interviews and her face looks weird... Defenetely somtething like a brow lift and some injection, he eyes looks pulled up...I love you Tori but keep away from the Versace Melt!

  • wow, plastic surgery much?

  • love that red hair, sooo sexy!

  • Yeah her red hair is really sexy! i have natural red hair and I love it! :D

  • I think if she's speaking in parables, she's talking about America.

  • Was she thinking about suicide "not too long ago"? That is hard to hear. She is my role model.

  • her eyes are magic

  • Dude was she infering that the song or something else kept her from suicide? That would suck. I hope thats not what she meant.

  • My Tori is always gorgeous inside and out! Quit ripping on her about some possible botox injections, people! Who gives a shit, let her feel good about herself! Amazing, brilliant album...love the visualettes with every song...what a project she just completed!

  • wake the other 99% of your brain up and you'll figure it out.

  • I just have to ask... do guy rockers, with the talent & tenacity to last as long as she has, have to deal with every other person commening on their appearances and whether they have or haven't aged well or otherwise??? ...and I think the woman is only in her 40's. That's not that old. She just had the bad fortune to be known when she was vy young. Sure, she seems a little self absorbed, but also cool and talented and, damn, she did (is doing) things with her life most of us can only admire.

  • she is so beautiful...love her amazing hair color!! but why is she talking so negative?

  • I guess its called reality.

  • man she just keeps getting hotter. I would break it off in her ass.

  • lmao wtf

  • pull herslef out of paralysis? Not FACIAL paralysis

  • whats so great about really deep thoughts?she does seem concerned about the people in current times, but it might just be an out of touch artist trying to capitalize on relating with their not so well off fanbase.

  • Well, actually I don't care if she uses botox or not. I love her unconditionally. I think she's beautiful mostly because her soul is beautiful. I wish I was so full of light at this age. And finally - she has her natural hair instead of the wig *yay* LOL

Ps. Tori - AATS is a brilliant album and each your interview is unique - thank you : )

  • Tori you are the best!!

and by the way I loooove the fact she finally put out that wig;D

  • Still looks gorgeous for her age.

  • To Tori: Baby Girl!..... I know... I am just as saddened and as uplifted.... Tell them... tell them all... they will get it eventually

  • i can listen to tori talk forever and ever! so wise and so amazing!

  • I know oh my god, it's her voice, it's so deliciously soothing and amazingly smooth.

  • Tori's words strike me as totally from the heart here. What she's saying is a song or a piece of art or a person can come along at just the right time to save you from just grinding to a halt. She's also articulately warning that we're all in danger from what's happening in the world, especially now.If only news outlets & "entertainment" reporting showed such intelligence & awareness instead of focusing on the empty garbage they broadcast most of the time.Bless your heart & life Tori.

  • She's a whole other level...very advanced soul <3

  • she looks so beautiful and peaceful :)

  • she looks super young.. at first ..i mistaken her for 16 years old xD

  • I know a lot of songwriters are deep, but man she sure is fucking deep sounding more than your average bear.

  • lol! I haven't heard anyone say that expression in a long time and I'm sure as hells going to be using it now! ;)

  • Love you Tori... keep up the good work.

  • Tori gives such wonderful interviews, most artists indulge in their egos being interviewed but Tori genuinely cares about people and the world, she is so intelligent and an inspiration

  • totally, and shes very genuine. Thats the way she is with her fans too when we meet her. But dont piss her off...she is not one to mess with! Thats another great thing about her, she is very real and doesnt compromise.

  • genius Tori!!! she has an extraordinary spirit!!!

  • Genius indeed! Thanks Tori!

  • It says a lot about a person if they search for an artist on here just to bitch about.

  • You got that right. :)

  • Shes brilliant! I cant wait for this new album ... I hope it echos Scarlett's Walk @ least in a couple of songs! Absolutely one of the most amazing sonic weavers of all time! I recently moved to NC from FL im going to miss seeing her so often. I hope she comes here, she is from here after all. To the dotards below, when you crawl from the cesspools of ignorance, the whole world will open up for you & you'll have better things to do than attack other peoples creative expressions.

  • Those of you who wrote such aweful and hateful comments below... You really have some issues that maybe you should address... instead of showing the whole world how immature you really are... Tori writes songs that help people... She gets to the heart of the matter... where as most musicians make music to get dicks hard... I can't imagine a world without her....

  • Tori Amos... I fucking love you. Oh my god.

"pull myself out of paralysis". why are you SUCH A GENIUS?

it's actually amazing how you and I understand each other. down with the patriarchy, let's nurture the nurturing force! and if you saw this you'd probably think "that's so creepy..."... because it... is? but seriously, you are so introspective and perceptive and beautiful (those three do not often go hand in hand).

  • Yeah that.

  • it is too bad the world has invented this thing called money that doesn't really have any value... and the media is telling us we are in a "depression" or "recession" when all we have to do is look outside and stop being afraid of the world and people around us. Tori- Thanks for fighting the good fight!

  • intelligent and classy woman

  • I cannot help but be captivated every time I hear her speak- even if its just rambling.

Sooo excited for this album xx.

  • Tori - xxxooooxxxooo

  • Love this woman!

  • gay, but tori is my name!

  • i love when she rambles about nothing!!!

  • I gotta say, she's a talented musician, and it certainly seems she's genuinely concerned for some nebulous harbinger of the times, but the whole "artist who finally can take no more and intends to change the world through music, poetry, or a painting" simply rings hollow for me. just my opinion though...

  • Get over yourself!

  • It sounds as though Ms. Amos has made a personally monumental effort to "bootstrap" herself out of becoming so depressed that she just gave up. It is hard to be too sensitive-everything feels like an assault-even the lightest touch. Keep going Tori-just take some time 'away" from everything to renew yourself. Even Eagles have "eyries" to rest in.

  • She's from the Fifth Element?

  • She did an improv called "Burn until then" near the end of tour. She talked about "since lawrence I've been breaking. But I can hold on still. I keep playing when I'm breaking." I think she hit a rough spot somewhere in there.

  • Tori looks great here.

  • I always love hearing Tori talking about society.

  • Tori has changed - it's called maturity. And with maturity comes wisdom that only time and experience can bring. I feel so fortunate that I can still be moved to tears by her work. Her lyrics, melody and that pure beautiful voice -still move me like no other.

  • Shes so right. its like everyone is hanging onto themselves as best they can. Tori's particularly sensitive to realms of the subconscious so I imagine she's been visiting some dark places recently - she's facing her mortality just like we all are.

  • Love u Tori ; )))

  • I wonder what she means, that the song about mothers wanting to commit suicide reached out to her at a time of need... maybe she was severely depressed at some point recently? If so, she hid it well. Good to know there is a song with such interesting subject matter on the album, anyway. Curtain Call was amazing, as was Mary Jane. Welcome to England is excellent. Fire to Your Plain and Lady in Blue were very good. 500 Miles was OK I suppose. BoS at SXSW = Best version ever. She's doing well =]

  • She's pseudo-making it. I miss my '90s Tori...

  • When i saw her in Seattle in 2007 she was....strange. Very subdued. She seemed really really weary of just about everything. the show was very somber. Even the meet and greet. She just seemed so profoundly sad.

  • She'd be a silly circus if she stayed 25 her whole life. She's not getting old, she's just...alive.

We can't stuff her into our favorite Tori album and keep her there forever.

  • Agreed.

If she tried to stay 25 forever she'd be Madonna. :D

  • lol! true.

I'm sad that you thought she seemed profoundly sad. I hope she's ok.

  • "She'd be a silly circus if she stayed 25 her whole life. She's not getting old, she's just...alive.

We can't stuff her into our favorite Tori album and keep her there forever. "

That's the most brilliant comment I've read in a long time.

  • Well thanks. = )

  • Im a Tori fan, man but the botox is distracting!

The silly circus comment is well said though.

  • so true and inspiring. i just adore her
