  • I think it would be cool if you had one team on the south pole I mean right on the south pole it self and another on the North pole at the same time and see if they could make contact and which station would do better there is a challenge.

  • very nice

  • Very nice - isn't the music Vangelis - from Antarctica album? I've worked a few of the Antarctica stations - DP1POL, for instance. Very cool.

  • yes, this is music from Vangelis with some seabirds added at the beginning and end of the video.Worked a couple of these myself!

  • Well done! Even though I despise the cold, this video makes me want to start packing for a DXpedition. The sound track is perfect for the venue and the landscape shots interspersed with the station shots give a good "feel" to the entire video.

  • Great Video, every ham must once in a life time be there. Thats the spirit of true ham radio. Great job.

  • propper radio old school, fantastic video good sound track , look forward to many more dxpeditions from antartica.

  • wonderful! Can you tell me the name of the song and the artist??

  • Cartoon,

The song is called "Antactic Echoes", by the great, great "Vangelis", dated 1983 from the "Antartica" movie soundtrack.

The birds at the beggining are obviously overlaid, but they fit PERFECTLY over the song. The author(s) of the video made a perfect choice, IMHO.

    73 from Quebec,

    Frank

  • thaaaaaanks a lot!!

This son is SO great! I knew Vangelis but not this song!

    Thanks for your answer!
