And the roots of the blues music are to be found in African music, wich contains a lot of the pentatonic and mixolydian scale. When African people were brought to America to be enslaved, they sang worksongs in these scales. Later when they were freed, a lot of them became blues musicians.

Eddie was one of the best, he started off as a session guitarist, before teaming up with namesake Hank Cochrane to form the Cochran bros, before embarking on a solo career. "C'mon everybody" is still an all time classic by one of the best rockers.
