ive got a c70 convertible, and even though its now over 9 years old it doesnt look to have aged a day. the heated leather seats ensure its practical in winter too..... oh, and the factory standard subwoofers in behind the rear seats are fantastic :) ive had mine nearly 2 years now, and i dont think ill be getting rid of it........ i NEVER thought id buy a volvo, yet alone not want to part with it! lol!
@elpanico yea if you want to change tyres every 1000 miles. We had a V70 classic T5 and the engine was too big for the car. Used to wipe the floor with every car who came alongside. I've just bought the new V70 225HP and this is totally different. Holds the road like a train would on tracks.
I have a c70 2.0T classic and it is a fantastic car. The sound system is the 100W verson and it is like no other sound system in a car I've ever heard.
@stefan032032 Volvo has Volvo made engines, they used to use TDCi by Ford (different name than TDCi but its the 103kW one) but not anymore, it´s pure Volvo don´t be afraid :)
Nobody ever, woke up in the morning saying wow! I really must have a volvo!
The solid swede is god but always been a car you buy with your head and not your heart..they're pragmatic, sensible and serious....Until now that is! :D
@torso99 850 was the rocker, the rebel, the less of a volvo to drive. The 5 pot units were great to drive. Not saying those models at all are bad as my grandfather & uncle owned all those models through the years. My dad bought the 850 which i later purchased was much better to drive for an estate. The 850 is what put the word 'fun' back into volvo
This is soooo not true. I'm personally totally in love with Volvo's I think they are beautiful and when I first saw my C70 I purchased 2 days ago I almost cried it was so breathtaking!!
Great Great Car! I had a chance for a test drive, with the 2.0 diesel, 163 hp, 400 Nm. Very very nice experience! You can see my experience with Volvo S60 by searching "Nicu Naum Volvo S60" or copy paste the link above :D
i'd love one of those but they are still out of my price bracket, they hold their value. I miss my 850 though that was a serious bit of kit i also fitted the wheels on it that are featured in the video. If you dont mind the looks the 850 is a superb handling car with plenty of dynamics. An underrated car of this world.
How beautiful isn´t this one, moves like a monster. I have a 2.4t which kickes from 80km/h to 140 in three seconds. I bought it from the princess Kristina of sweden for almost nothing. It´s awesome.
I bought my C70 HT Coupe (sport suspension, manual transmission with BBS 18" wheels) in 1998 and she's still going strong - today we reached 130,000 (original clutch). Beautiful car - I'll never sell it.
@volvert5 this hideous car is nto an old volvo. its a new volvo. Volvo were ruined designed wise in 1998 wjem tje S80 came along., the c70 and s40 brought the ugliness there. Thankfully for the eyes Volvo 740 is hte most ocmmon volvo after thge v70. 18 years aftert it ended produciton.
I have a 2002 coupe c70 and the 5 cyl. turbo 2.3l is friggin' awesome almost too much engine for a car this size. But I wouldn't have it any other way!
Gotta love those timeless lines, funny I hear it all the time "It's a Volvo" LOL!!
i have the 03 soft drop top with white leather interior its a stunning car drive not as good as quentin made out though but excellent volvo none the less
the C-70 is a good looking car, too bad its front wheel drive... I had an S-70 some time ago and I was thinking of trading it in for a C-70 but i ended up with a Camaro :P
I had a '04 C70 Convertible and it's all they say it is, absolutely stunning. MisterScania is right, the Peugeot 406 Coupe was there .. for a second and then all focus moved to the Volvo C70. It has been build in this form and shape until 2005 and was the last real Volvo. Matter of fact, the C70 was build in a factory of it's own. After that, there's just Ford.
Lovely motor! Remember when Peugeot were all excited about the launch of their 406 Coupe at about the same time? It was a very pretty car, but was out-shined by this beauty!
@konkolas17 sorry but the front of the car just dont belong there, the back end is really good ... front just had to be made sleeker already when they released it
love the rave up at the end....Volvo forever

Isn't it astonishing how Volvo's then-design boss Peter Horton looks almost exactly like his successor, Peter Horbury?
