The UN is such a joke. The resolutions are never enforced. If they are it is by us. And the recent wars are proof that resolutions don't really mean anything! All the UN is good for is clogging up traffic whenever they meet here in NY.
He stated that he supported the invasion of Afghanistan to disrupt al-Qaeda's planning and operations, yet never addressed the issue of al-Qaeda's reoccupation of the nation following a US withdrawal. His argument seems utterly superficial. Stossel should have pressed that point more vigorously, irregardless of the fact that they play for the same team...
@packerfan748 I know. Whats funny is that liberals always want to point out defense spending as the LARGEST BUDGET IN THE GOV. Of course they don't bitch when Osama is killed under Obamas presidency. But they like to neglect entitlement programs, even though they take up the majority of the budget. And are all bankrupt and 113 trillion in the whole
I agree with Ron Paul, we shouldn't do more, we should do less and that includes foreign policy. I appreciate our mission and our goals, but I think we're spreading ourselves too thin and as Preble pointed out--we're spending money other nations should spend to defend themselves. We should tell NATO goodbye.
Afghanistan is not a war. It is a police state. We should have got out a long time. If the Taliban comes and takes Kabul, we should bomb the shit out of Kabul. The message should be "stay in the caves" or you're dead meat.
When you defending Developed Nations around the World that can afford to defend themselves. Which is what America is doing. Then your doing too much with your defense.
Easy way to get nukes out of North Korea: Tell China that if they dont get North Korea to give up their nukes, the US will give nukes to South Korea....

We should not be the "World's Police."

China pays their military one tenth (if not less) of what the U.S. pays theirs, this means they spend much less, but get more done.
China is becoming a huge threat.
I love Stossel, and Preble had some valid points, but he's not entirely on point.

@beefking69er China is still flying planes from the 1970's. The US Military would destroy anyone on earth. We own space
