The camera funk is a bit suspect but these dudes are not actors and there's a sense of reality to the thing. Not sure exactly how it's done relative to the camera work but I don't think it's all contrived. If it is then B and S deserve an academy award.
The camera men are really good? I don't know. I suppose it's something you need to deal with & accept as prey. The cameras also give away the tracker's position too, so it might just all even out (maybe not) :)
I did a little research on this, because I was curious myself. Apparently there is just one camera man with them, who is in full camo. And they are incharge of hiding him and telling him where to go, where to step, etc. The camera man is also an expert of outdoors and tries to leave as little tracks and evidence as possible.
I have even read that there are 'fake' camera crews set up in the open along the way so man tracker cannot go by spotting camera men, but only by spotting the actual prey.
Someone said in another episode I was watching that they send out dummy camera crews as well as the actual 2 that are with the prey and tracker. So that way just cause they see a camera crew doesn't always mean anything. I don't know if thats true but it makes sense.
An old Time magazine article i read said this is all staged , they let some pick to win and others no

these 2 seem to be nothing more than sex maniacs with mental maturity of a 3 year old.

I like it when they are talking to the cameraman and the prey suddenly see Mantracker. It adds an extra bit of realism to it.
