This, I think, is the spiritual sequel to TM2. It has similar art styles and animation for the endings. Most of the original characters return (I think), and it plays somewhat similar.

You can tell from the way the endings are written, and the direct links between the two games, like the connection to Twister's ending. Plus having the shots of the Eiffel tower being knocked down in the opening , which was maybe one of the most famous moments in gaming.

@JooKed I rather liked some of the very grim twist that took what you could concieve as real otherwise of the very first Twisted Metal. Such was well executed and exactly what the dev team was going for. They actually thought the game was going to tank because it was poorly recieved by focus groups, but then it hit shelves.

A team that thought they were doomed from already ticking people off instantly found themselves nearly last to know they were a success nealry over night.

@JooKed HOWEVER, I agree. The song you are hearing is from a less known band named Level. The song being Disaster Proof. I put in a comment that it was a downer the uploader cut the starting up moment of the tournament too short was probbably one of the best ways TM has EVER started a tournament. Stadium, speaking on screen, into band and pyrotechnics right ont he field that's about to errupt.

How could you not like that?

@leon102 The new TM seems to make everyone a clown nut, witch I'm not too fond of. However, it does seem to try to accomplish the dream of the dev crew members who died in a plane crash before the TM project after TM Black was finished. The company recieved an erie, if not a bad joke, letter that was sighned as being writin by the dead TM developers that went down on that fatefull flight. That they were upset it was cut from completion.

when it comes to the actual gameplay this is the most fun twisted metal so far. in my opinion they keep getting better each one they make. except for 3 and 4. the game is just a bit easy for me. in this video it was set to the hardest difficulty. its still a pretty kickass good time though. cant wait for them to release one for the ps3.

yeah it works good. great sound quality. i guess the video quality is ok but all i have is rca jacks. it says you could use hd jacks on it. the only other thing is when you push record on your computer screen it takes a couple seconds to kick in and whats recording is a few seconds behind on whats actually playing on the tv. im pretty sure thats just my computer though.

i bought this thing at radio shack called WinTv. it basically allowed you to go from an rca jack to a usb port. plus it came with a few programs for recording tv and such. theres probably less expensive alternatives out there but this is simple enough just to work for me. the only down side is the quality isnt the best.
