  • Ok the stock small block dodge gets around 9 to 14 mpg so let do a little math ok 850 hp + 408 -%#£!-€+=-~~,=====. = 3.982 gallons per mile if I figured correctly

  • What tuner are you using

  • @supercharged408rt msd fast system with crank trigger

  • not a mopar guy myself but have to say good job!!!

  • all viper car wheels are the same bolt pattern, the early cars had 17'' wheels all four and the 96'-2001 are 18'' all four. the rest are 18'' front 19'' rear mine are from a 2005

  • so will any viper rims lug pattern fit my 94 dakota? i do not want to switch the lug pattern i want six lug with 5 spoked viper rims... and like i said i want the lug pattern to stay the same... plz and thanx you i would like responses!

  • @xXBloodSightXx all viper car wheels are the same bolt pattern, 94 -96 were 17' all fours thru 2001 18'' all fours 2002- now 18'' front 19'' rear like mine 2005

  • @1bad408STROKER im kinda stupid lmao... so i order the 6 lug viper rims for my project dakota, they will fit the lug pattern of my dakota? just making sure.

  • where in WA State? I am in Everett, I have a 2002 Dakota, non rt. How could I get an intake like yours? Nice truck though, I have always loved the RT's

  • that truck is well worth the money invested in it. i have a 2000 dakota and if i had the money like that i would do the same. thats killer sick man.

  • OK, they can pull Viagra off the market ...... who really would need it !

  • is that fuel injected ?

  • @318dodgeN350camaro Yes! I use the f.a.s.t system from msd as my pcm

  • @jerrys1bad66c10 nice now did you have to throw a different transmission it i wanna know i wanna drop a 408 in my lifted 95 ram

  • @318dodgeN350camaro no I have the same tranny but totally built kevlar clutches 2600 stall, burned up the stock

  • sounds good

  • what hood is that?

  • nothing for the front. I had to do a four link in the back becuase there to wide it hit the leaf springs. they set in the fender wells about two inches, I guess you could put a two inch wheel spacer in the back.

  • what did you have to do to make them fit? i want something like that for my dakota

  • @86Ramrunner nothing for the front. in the back I removed the leaf springs and did a four link because the wheels hit the leafs. you might get away with a two inch wheel spacer, the wheels are tucked in the fenderwell about two inches.

  • what are those whells off of?

  • @86Ramrunner 2005 viper car

  • ...fuck i'd give 30k for that truck

  • Comment removed

  • 1bad408 I dont drive it much, 1,800 miles on the drive train 40k on the truck. last three years only put on 1,800 miles. you want it let me know.

  • @givemeaname55555 if your serious lets talk

  • Beautiful truck! Looks like a lot of money spent on dress-up though. Shoulda just slapped that 408 in there and not worried about all the pretty chrome and powercoated stuff. Nobody sees that when you are blasting past them at 100mph! Shows are for homos. My r/t is a blacked out monster.....no 408 yet, thats my next goal!

  • absolutely perfect execution, wouldn't change a thing. Red is the only color for these-

  • they will go on a 2000 slt clubcab + longbed

  • are these rims good?

    latemodelrestoration (.) com/item/DCP-1007C

    please respond ;)

  • where did u buy those rims?

  • sick truck dude, always like to see fellow dakota r/t drivers trickin out there trucks to. Even though yours is way more badass than mine, mine will be on that level sometime. Hopefully after this deployment to afghan i'll have the money

  • @quackbeef Yeah no kidding. I found that out the hard way. :(

I've got the '04 Dakota, which puts out 210HP, which isn't bad. It's mainly the gas mileage that makes driving the truck a pain. I can barely get 300kms out of one tank of gas!

  • Thats a hell of a truck you got there! I've got an '04 Dakota with a V6. Wanna trade??? Lol

  • @Revanjd yeah, v6 trucks in general are useless. they don't give much better gas mileage than the v8 and have so much less power.

  • were did you get the hood

  • Hey i just bought a 2000 R/T and i was wonderin how much the mesh grill costs? and the hood?

  • Nice truck man, I don't have much to say except down right nice

  • Hi! I have a dodge dorango slt 5.9 l. I'm just wondering if the low profile intake by spectre will fit on my dorango. Did u customize your's?

  • Viper wheels are so expensive. I was looking at them for my Dakota. Mines a v6 I'm trying to find a 360 cheaper than 800 bucks looking for somewhere around 500.

  • Jay I have a flushmount they look really good. I'll sell you mine. Shit of you live close to illinois I'll give the damn thing to you. It's sitting in my garage.

  • @dapitbull2009 Im near windsor, ontario, canada. right across the boarder from Detriot

  • Sweet ride, Were do get the flush mounted tunneau cover? Im building a 2000 with a carb'd 408 and I cant find a flush mount anywere. MOPAR OR NO CAR!

  • is that thing street legal lol

  • oh yah, I dont drive it much.

  • u wanna sell it

  • I thought about it, I have so much invested in it, it would have to be at least enough to make it worth my while. it just sits in the garage.

  • how much and where are you at

  • I dont want to scare you but I have $55k into it without my labor, including the original price 23k, so I need around $30k. I live in washington state.

  • im all the way in alabama but i love the truck tho great job to

  • @1bad408 that shit is sick. where you find those SRT rims in the 6x4.5 lug pattern? I'd love a set for my 2000 DD. I'm in Tacoma.

  • @stunnasam21 I bought them off of ebay there off the viper car 05 im in kennewick wa.

  • @jerrys1bad66c10 oh ya i forgot the viper is same lug pattern. like 18x13 in the back tho right? probably alot of fab work to make those sit flush...nice. Just noticed the hood. I got the same one. Man i gotta get a video of it on here lol

  • @1bad408 You are 55k in and you only run 12's? I mean you didn't spend all that money on paint and interior lol! Damn, I would get a nitrous kit and run me some times. I am not hating I was just shocked by the number WITHOUT labor.

  • @1bad408 hate to break it to you, but a car is not an investment, and it's only worth what someone else will pay for it. right now... 2002 r/t's are worth 5500 bucks. despite what you have in it. Nice truck and all, just being real.

  • Holy shit I recongize those wheels! Them aren't cheap.

  • awesome truck; this is my dream version of mine; except i like standard cabs. Either way yours is BA

  • Your R/T looks awesome starting to save up a good amount of money to start working on mine (2001 Silver should be my profile pic).. goin to buy a new stereo system new rims (i love yours :P) then maybe paint or maybe engine mods

  • there used, but I paid $1500 new there $3000 a piece

  • this is a beautiful truck, i put 20's on my dakota with magnaflow exhaust and a crazy sound system.

how much did you pay for your rims?

  • truck is awesome how did you get rid of the o2 sensors what did you have to do

  • Thanks, I don't have any on the drivers side. and on the passengers side I bought a cat box from fast man to bypass the o2. im also useing a msd f.a.s.t system computer so it might have took the o2 out of the loop anyway. I had the cat box in first.

  • so you have no cat on the driver side at all just the passenger side

  • no cats at all

  • do you have the number where you bought it its nice i like it very thin if you could give the number or the web page thanks

  • its a checkmate but my gemtop is a better cover on my S10 it was $700 shipped and painted unlike the checkmate I had to have someone paint it and the shipping was $400 and the price was $350 paint was another $330

  • where did you buy the fiberglass cover for the bed

  • what kind of hood is it and were can i buy one

  • srt 10 viper hood from moore performance the best hood I ever seen looks and constructed no sanding already for paint no dimpiles or spots to redo.

  • hey thanks u got a price tag for me??? ive been lookin at ur dakota a while and i like the coil over in the rear i was wondering wich is better a 4-link coil over or a 5-link??? and i got my exhaust out the right side in front of the rear tire thursday with a glasspack wow sounds good.

  • I paid $500 for the hood and I would go with the 4 link adjustable.

  • you got some money under the hood, how much more horse power do you think you get with the ram air?

  • yeah! not much, you can only put so much air thru the throttle bodie. just looked kinda cool.

  • If you got a bigger throttle body you would gain about 7 more hp, probaly even more since you have ram air. You can get one from summit racing for about 105.

  • I'm useing a 55mm now, marty from krc performance said I would lose torque if I were to go with the 58mm.

  • what kind of role pan and front bumper do you have on the truck?

  • what kind of hood is that?

  • srt fiberglass hood mad by moore performance. the best made fiberglass hood that I've seen, you can paint it right out of the box, smooth as glass.

  • thats cool. i like the whole set up you have on the truck. realy nice. thanks for the message back.

  • where did you get your 408 at and how much work did it take to get that four link in that truck and i think you should put a paxton supercharger on it. write back. thanks.

  • where did you got the rims at nice loking for some for mine kant find some where i live thank plz rite back

  • they are stock viper rims

  • That is one hell of a truck, looks like it wasn't cheap... I like the custom exhausts... Very nice.

  • sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, i love it haha

  • The Viper wheels - what did you do to make sure there was enough clearance to bolt them on? Also, do they bolt up to the stock Dakota wheel lug pattern?

    Thanks.

  • the fronts have no clearence problems but I would put a 255/45/18 something with a taller side wall then what comes on the viper or you will have a 2' more gap fender to tire. I have a 2' lowered spring and a 3' lowered a arm. the rear I used the factory wheel and tire 345/35/18 it won't work with the rear springs it will it. the tires and wheels bolt up to the factory dakota and they set in the wheel wells . u could try a 1/2 or 1' spacer for the rear and it might clear the spring?

  • Cool, thanks for letting me know!

I wanted to keep my Dakota completely stock for the possible collector's value some day far, far down the line, but the paint's starting to go and it's already in need of work. I will definitely look into some Viper rims for the truck, although I'm thinking I might go for older gen Viper rims - I like the way the rims from the '99 Viper look.

  • yeah you can get a better deal on that gen of wheel to. but I think there 17' front and back. the overall tire hight is 25' compared to the factory tire hight 28' so hope you truck is lowered. I saw a guy at a car show with those wheels and his truck look lifted 4x4.

  • A few questions... 1.) how much did those rims cost? 2.) how hard is it to do that exhaust i have a 5.2L leafspring? 3.) were do I buy those grill inserts ... 4.) whats the hood? 5.) what are the headlights? Thank u!!!

  • I bought the used and I got a great deal $ 1,500 ebay. replacement cost new is $3600. each the exhaust was pretty easy I did in my garage, summit raceing has the lights and inserts at least they did 5 years ago.

  • Cool truck, the wheels and exhaust both look really nice.

  • thanks man , i wanted to make like a full adjustable coil over just for race tracks, remove the leafs and etc... i m finishing my truck in dezember i ll post videos , thanks again and by the way you got srt seats ? hehee

  • oh okay. so can you weld? theres alot of welding involved, thats what I do. I can send you some pics with a better look at what mine looks like as far as the 4 link. you could always do ladder bar its alittle less expensive. I can adjust mine right at the track, but its real close just street driven.

  • man very nice dak, i´m runnig a 5.9 with 7100 rpm 262 268 at 0,50 cam and a nice stage 2 port and polish heads with big valves, i wanted to build a coil over kit for the rear , how did you do it ? and about the oil sistem ??, can you send me tha part list please , thanks nice truck

  • I really dont have a parts list, I built it from scratch. are you keeping the leafs? if you are then you might be able to use the stock location and use the qa1 coilovers I used 350# springs the oil system do you mean like what oil pump? im useing a mildon high volume. I would like to here your trucks idle with the 262 cam do you have a vid.

  • Very nicely done man! i love how you did the exaust!

  • when you mounted your side pipes did your just cut a hole in the bed or is it all cut out around it? One off items made by yourself makes a bigger statement then aftermarket parts.

Do you bring your truck to shows?

  • yes first I cut a hole 4" in the bed and one in the stainless plate of course. then I welded a 4" exhaust pipe to the backside of the cutout plate about a 4" long piece and thats where my 3" exhaust fits into without touching the sides. and yes I show the truck.

  • SO FUCKIN SEXYYYYY

that engine bay is mad clean. good job bro. where you get your SRT10 rims from? just curious cause i know a few places but they seem expensive to me. and did ya need adaptors to place the ones on the rear?

  • Thanks, the rims are not srt rims there off the dodge viper car. the rear rims are 13" wide thats why I got rid of the leaf springs and built the 4 link and did the mini tub in the bed. alot of work!

  • oh they look like the srt10 rims... are the viper and the ram srt10 rims the same o.O

but man 13'' wide? thats pretty nice =D

  • There not the same the car(Viper) only came in 6 lug the truck Ram 5 lug only. The viper rims look better, there is a difference apperance wise.

  • oh iight so did you have to do the 6 lug conversion?

  • are those gen II viper rims n what size r they i have 275 50 r17 n there now i have a 2003 dakota r/t reg cab

  • yes gen 2 RIMS 345/35/19 IN BACK 275/50 18 IN FRONT.

  • i got the same truck as you man, but wut u do to make it to the 408? how far did you bore it out? im gonna get the m1 intake and rebuild the whole block pistons cams n all.. n drop it 2" front 4" rear... did u leave the stock gearing?? and whats the transmission options you went through??

  • dude, i think im in love with your truck...

    itS Nice...

  • Thanks , I've spend alot of time and money getting it to the stage it's at as you have probably experienced the same im guessing.

  • i want to have a 408 put in my r/t but i live in california, do you have to pass a smog test where you live?

I was thinking Id just keep my stock motor and swap it for the test if it wont pass?

  • I live in washington state, no test here. but a 408 should'nt keep you from passing. just keep the cats on, or cat if youre running a single muff,

  • Thank's I have a k&n filters cone type on each side, I drilled a 4.5" hole where the behind where the battery sat you have to get a small battery a optima perferably so you have room. and for the passenger side same location. its secure right at the before the wheel opening, it stays pretty dry. and the black 4" hose is'nt dryer hose it's heavy duty ventilation hose, kinda like the hose used on superchargers, I work in the ventilaton industry.

  • oh okay, that's a very cool setup...like a vararam for a dakota, lol. sweet truck.

  • sick truck man! i was wondering though, how does your intake work? like where did you locate the filters? or did you just fit the dryer hoses over the filters? very cool setup
