The song makes me think of a mine that's been abandoned for a long time because of the many deaths that happened while the miners worked there, the sound of the pic axes makes it seem like that the miners are still working there even though they are dead but their souls can't rest in peace due to some kind of mysterious force, and that noise at 1:43, it makes it seem like that something is trying to take your soul away and it's going to make you work in the mines forever.

I thought of something. Remember the Forbidden forest from zelda? Imagine this playing in a level like that, only darker, and on a hanging platform with bodies hung above you with enormous monsters beneath with their mouths open and reaching for you while spiders with mutilated faces climb the walls. I thought of this within a minute of hearing this song. XD
