  • for some reason, i thought that the "POG" registered Metrobus never lasted so long.

  • This has just been scrapped.

  • sad news!

  • nice!

  • i thought it had a voith gearbox because of that screaming retarder the alexander bodied volvo b10s round where i live sound similar

  • - Was on her this morning, shes a beauty!

  • no one will agree to this but the engine sounds to me a bit like a leyland national with a 0.680 engine

  • Comment removed

  • Gardner and Voith gearbox.

  • ah I was such a fool back then!

  • i had a ride on ex twm now stagecoach lincs pog582y today bloody hell what a scream but they are really showing their age hence why stagecoach are getting rid of them. long live the metrobus. ill put my video up sometime. skegness has a few open top metrobuses running still

  • love the sound of the doors ssssssss lol

  • They sound like VR's too the doors do

  • I like the sound. But it seems a bit no power.

  • the 366 service is good i caught 2949 but the most shocking thing is that IT STILL HAS 4 GEARS!

  • twm have still got loads of these left a few went to roadcar though

  • The 366-8 are quality routes to ride and film on. Some not bad photo locations too :) Nice video!

  • did you that twm Y722 CJW is now with travel dundee :[

  • the flower interior

  • ....and this would be great when KMB of Hong Kong bought 5 Metrobus MK2 with Cummins LTA10 engine. They were all of hill climing.

  • oh...i miss it! They have all been withdrawn in HK

  • Superb video. This Metrobus makes all the right noises! Love that clunk of gears and screaming retarder towards the end. Great buses with such character!

  • all our mcws have gone now from leeds :-( all cut up apart from 3,2 of those are in indonesia

  • Oh right thats a shame, didn't know any went over there.

  • yeh it was 2 of the fXXXxwy batch that went in the tsunami relief thingy

  • is it an ex roadcar bus with a gardner 6lxb engine?

  • emm~~send as a sound file just fine, but the kbps have to be higher as to put the sound into game. Thanks so much for your reply.

  • could you send me the original video file?

The engine sound is great and I'd like to make sth with it@@

  • Unfortunately the original video file is about 40Mb which is too big to email, could try sending it as a sound file maybe or a really compact media player file if that would be any good?

  • TWM scrap them like their empty cans of coke:(

  • Unfortunately yes, I believe POG572Y is now withdrawn, this was one of the loudest, unfortunately when I got a ride it was too busy to get my camera out.

  • Great noise from the voith gearbox just wait for it to whistle when the bus slows down. The nearsest route with them still running is the 427 Grotton to Hollinwood Service (round Oldham) run by Stotts of Oldham. They are the later ones from circa 1988.

  • i am seriously obssesed about mcw metrobuses i dont know why im only 14:)

  • If you are from the West Midlands you will appreciate how important these MCW's are to the area and they have played an important part in Bus operations in the area. Don't worry about being obsessed with them, they are very likeable buses.

  • they are the best buses ever built that why! remember, its a happier journey on a metrobus!

  • cool

  • what service is this?

  • The 367 out of Walsall
