And what the Sith don´t realize this. This is demonstraded for Obi-Wan in Episode IV says to Darth Vader: "If you hit me, I shall become more powerful than you can imagine."
His "lust for power" is what turned him to the dark side, not love for Padme. That was just his own rationalization for what he had done lately, and for what he was about to do.
Padme is a total pansy-ass in this film. The old Padme would've belittled him and literaly beat some sense into him. Instead she's just a big crybaby!

I never realized a classic could have such poor acting. This is a little hard to take seriously... I can't cry even though this is probably supposed to be a really sad scene

Sorry nusucker but we have different opinion. You believe what Darth Sidious said so i cannot change your opinion about that but we stay friends. I read that as evil as Darth Vader had become, Padme's death haunted him for the rest of his life. He could never shake the emotional agony caused by her death.
Vader had remorse as soon as he learned that Padme had died. He just had nowhere else to go. Do you think any Jedi would welcome him back once they learned what he had done? No, so he stayed with the Emperor. How broken the mind and heart can become...
You know looking at the star wars series you wonder why the republic bothered with jedi anyway. They were arrogant and narrow minded at the best of times and turned to the dark side and killed millions at worst. Meh makes good movies and games though xD
I don't like it when he's like "...rule the Galaxy together! Make things the way we want them to be!". He sounds like excited little schoolkid. OK, maybe he's enthusiastic, but he's Darth Freaking Vader, and hearing Darth Freaking Vader being all super-hyper-cheerful is just jarring.
I think anakin is laughably weak. he lose against obiwan, galen marec, and his own son. he nearly lost his life when he encounters darth maul. he lose to count dooku and lost his arm. he prevail in his battle with the younglings, though.
Actually Near the middle, mace windu was fighting palpatine and anakin came up and cut off windu's hand and sent him out the window and palpatine made anakin his aprentice and named him lord vader and then at the end obi wan cut off anakin (darth vader)'s legs and the palpatine found him burnt and gave him the ever so popular suit. I wasn't trying to say that i know better it's just that's what happened.
the movie should've ended like that: Padme chooses to be with Anakin, Anakin kills Obi Wan, then they go back and overthrow Sidious and live to rule the galaxy, seeing their children grow up and becoming powerful Sith like their father.

My thoughts about Vader being the baddest dude in the galaxy changed because he redeemed himself in Return of the Jedi by killing Sidious, but I forgot that he killed the younglings. THE YOUNGLINGS, WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE YOUNGLINGS!
Damn you Padme and your sickening sense of morality! Let's have a look at her choices:
1) Join with Anakin and let him kill Obi, enjoy all the galactic power that comes with Anakin serving then defeating the Emperor. Maybe even learning a bit of Force powers herself, if only on a miniscule level. Then watch her children growing up and become powerful Sith.
2) Moan about how the Dark Side is wrong, push Anakin over the edge and be choked into unconsciousness by him.
I don't think so...come on, she had her morals. How many people would like to join with someone who was totally corrupt and mad? That's what he was by this point.

No, his anger and his Fustration did, and the Lost of his Mother, Palpatine played him out, he basicly made him Mad, Angrier, and said thats the Jedis Fault that his Mother died and they don´t like him, and dont want him to overcome them in the Force, well that was basicly all this what made him to the DarkSide..

I think anakin is laughably weak. he lose against obiwan, galen marec, and his own son. he nearly lost his life when he encounters darth maul. he lose to count dooku and lost his arm. he prevail in his battle with the younglings, though.

Actually Near the middle, mace windu was fighting palpatine and anakin came up and cut off windu's hand and sent him out the window and palpatine made anakin his aprentice and named him lord vader and then at the end obi wan cut off anakin (darth vader)'s legs and the palpatine found him burnt and gave him the ever so popular suit. I wasn't trying to say that i know better it's just that's what happened.

1) Join with Anakin and let him kill Obi, enjoy all the galactic power that comes with Anakin serving then defeating the Emperor. Maybe even learning a bit of Force powers herself, if only on a miniscule level. Then watch her children growing up and become powerful Sith.
2) Moan about how the Dark Side is wrong, push Anakin over the edge and be choked into unconsciousness by him.
