  • Dang. Luv this stuff. Alone in my room. The Records blarin' . Great rock. Was hooked on the band since hearing 'Starry Eyes' on the radio for the first time. Thanks for uploading !

  • Gran cancion, que grupo tan bestial e increiblemente ignorado.

  • My favorite of their LPs. The guitar makes you wanna weep. Perfect.

  • @johnnyriggsisdead Yep, this album was their peek. There are so many good songs on this album. But of course the song Starry Eyes is what hooked me on this band.

  • Damn the local radio station execs who deprived the kids of this stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • Awesomely potent stuff here, folks.

  • ......this is kinda perfect

  • One of my favorite tunes by the The Records. They rocked. The band should have been huge.

  • The Smithereens and The Records are two bands that should have been huge. Anyone ever post Teenarama? That was the song that used to get a lot of airplay up here in New England.

  • @GingerMcCanny Love teenarama. Records were my favs in the 70/80 with the yachts, shoes & Bram Tchaivsky! Great catching up with this stuff again!

  • @shorelinedigital Love those bands as well!!

  • @GingerMcCanny The Smithereens did score a few radio hits in the late 80's/ early 90's. They were a great live act (and all-around nice guys). The Records didn't fare as well, though they should have.

And then 90's grunge came along...

  • This is my favorite song from this album-thanks for posting it! I regret that I had to sell an original British vinyl ed. of their first album-the one with the EP, including "See My Friends."

  • I still love this album.....

  • One of the best albums ever. Man these dudes were great. I never understood why they didn't get big in the USA. I chalked it up to Americans sometime wouldn't know good music if it slapped them in the face.

  • for some reason i missed these guys when they played in LA. i did buy all their

7's and lp's back in the day, at Zed's in Long Beach.

  • Great song , never heard it before.. 5*

  • I saw the songs from this relatively unknown album performed live in '81. I booked The Records to play the Florida Atlantic Univ. Rathskellar through the local promotor, Fantasma productions. This version of the band with guitarist Jude Cole. They performed these songs like clockwork, is my recollection.
