Interesting enough Halloween originally had nothing to do with Satanic rituals or anything like that. A holiday is what you make it, to most people Halloween is about pranks, dressing up and having parties. Christmas for the first 1900 years wasn't anything like what it is now, my guess is that jesus wouldn't want his name associated with the consumerism/materialistic holiday it's become. Just look at the ACLU's campaign of lawsuits across the country to remove Christmas displays. Or retailers using sanitized greetings like "happy holidays."
