  • HEAVEN.

  • These hymns of unrest, avant-grarde music(and to some extent the lyrics) catch you and take to anywhere you wish freely.

  • listening to Pink Floyd is me in 1972 in a london heathrow william bryd school watching the planes and not taking no notice of education..Thanks to Pink floyd the Wall covered my childhood before the making..Five 8 yrs on then came the Wall..they got my mind set for the heart of the sun....

  • ottima musica..

  • ever heard of Dolby?

  • @PostToastie If is from Atom Heart Mother(The album cover shown) and one of these days from Meddle, therefore only one is shown and makes sense

  • @Lodashtaroth

Neither of these versions appeared on either of these albums, these two songs were recorded live on the AHM tour. Sorry for the confusion.

  • You people obviously aren't real floyd fans. This is the cover of Atom Heart Mother. If was the second track of that album.

  • some people here are pretty much of a pain in the butt to have to answer their questions about why the uploader didnt put the right photo,i wonder why dont they just shut the fuck up,and enjoy!!, did anyone ever thank post toastie for uploading these great tracks?,no of course its always easier to judge people by their bad mistakes than looking for the great stuff qualities as a person.

  • A new version (2009) of this beautiful song on myspace gariac

  • Picture discs can only be played a few times and when left at the turntable over night they just die from dust they collect overnight

  • weird how the song changes half-way through. Pink Floyd was truly a great band, unpredictability is awesome

  • It's the BBC radio recording of 1970, recorded on july 16.

    bootleg cd: BBC archives 1970 - 1971

  • This is not vinyl; it's the only live recording of "If".

  • I think this is a live version on vinyl. i had a bunch of Beatles picture disks -I recall how bad the sound quality was-only good for looking not listing

  • it's not vinyl, it's scratchy dust

  • This is special.

  • wow vinyl! the not-so-good sound just adds to its asomeness! :p love it

  • Sounds like a turntable that isn't properly grounded.

  • My vinyl of Atom sounds like crap, but the cover is in perfect condition.

  • jajaj me mato eso del chupacabra jaja

  • ¬el chupacabra!

  • i love vinyl

  • it is hard to find different selections of different drugs. I will always be seeking individuals or just one person to get all kinds of drugs from anytime i need em

  • If I were an illusion I'd be the world,If I were an illusion I'd be a person, but I'm not I am the universe disguised as a person, what or who are you?

  • I don't believe in if anymore it's an illusion,it's an illusion.

  • Masterpiece from the best band and the best lyricist of Rock music.

    Peace.

  • Long live to Roger Waters

  • If there were a god dave, roger, and nick will play once again

  • we can only hope, for all of humanity

  • If I were a good man, Id talk to you more often than I do.

  • yep this is live

  • I have this song on a live cd from BBc playhouse.. it is so hard to find. I think its 2 discs.

  • If I were a train I'd be late FOR SURE ! ! !

  • You sick insane bastards i so fuckin love you!!!!

  • If I'd go insane will you still let me join in the game or put wires in my brain?

  • Yes, you're wrong. It was on Atom Heart Mother. This sounds like it could be live. Hard to tell with the reverb.

  • GREAT SONG! :D

  • Wish I had this on vinyl.

NIB is right, the sound is definetly timeless.

  • yes

  • i like this version better than the one from meddle(the cd version) cuz i can hear the drums, the the bass line keeps going and theres intense gilmour.. i can barely hear risk tho:(

  • apart from the ending.. after 'ill cut you into little pieces' meddle destroys

  • Dude relax and just enjoy the music of Pink Floyd. And who cares if the sound isnt spectacular, its a song off the internet and the vinyl sound is timeless anyways.

  • ok mate ;O)

  • I do agree tho the album art is wrong so you got a valid point there but that's the way she goes

  • erm but it's from the ALBUM MEDDLE.

  • It is from Atom heart mother, not Meddle.

  • I like this version of IF better than the studio version.

  • Great music and great band!!

  • Thats cos' rog is playing acoustic

  • "And if I go insane,

Will you still let me join in with the game?"

Just relating that lyric to Syd, seeing as he was kinda left out of the game after he went insane.

  • one of these days is from meddle. not AHM. but i still like this

  • Some channel may be off...theres no bass in IF. but I like it anyway..:-)

  • I don't think its equalized. Needs RIAA pre amp.

  • forget the vynil

    this is amazing

if you were a swan ?????????

  • dumbfuck

  • I think it's plain to say that this and "Grantchester Meadows" were absolutely amazing as far as acoustic stuff goes, and they're also songs where Waters' rather odd voice fits perfectly.

And the lyrics here... he's really showing us the inferiority-complex-side, eh? Really amazing stuff.

  • This is NOT the original vinyl version! As a matter of fact this is a live recording released on a vinyl bootleg. Also, Atom Heart Mother is one of the Floyd albums which really benefits from its remastering on CD. As for the CD versus vinyl argument, an Abbey Road mastering engineer would back me up!!

The One of These Days version is a live BBC recording from the Paris Theatre in London before Meddle had been released.

  • eccellente

  • I toatly agree with the coments about vinel..im only 29 & lucky enough 2 own ealy floyd on vinel..very enjoyable..shame u carnt play vinel in the car..(ha-ha)

  • bagra the best pink floyd

  • I really hate growing up in the era of mp3s. So many don't realize the pure beuaty of viynl so thanks a lot for putting this up. I do own a ton of Floyd albums on CD but its just not the same as hearing them fresh.

I highly advise though like myself to listen to their favoritealbums on viynl should they get the chance. Even newer artists sound better. Just listened to Radioheads In Rainbows on viynl and its simply stunning. You don't know what you're missing.

  • toast....coffee....marmalade, i like marmalade.

  • PROS & CONS!!!

  • IFFFFFFF

  • Pure wonderful stuff. Thanks PostToastie!!

  • Reminds me of how sorry I feel for those who were born after the 80's! God, I was in the 70's and I think of how bloody lucky I was... even though I could have been luckier! At least it wasn't after the 80's!

  • what the fuck if this is vinyl then we are going backwards in time in terms of psychedellic technology with cd's. if you get what i mean. yeah Im' tripping balls. :D

  • hey, i like your user name, posttoastee, like the tommy bolin song! And yeah, i love vinyl. record companies should switch back to vinyl instead of cd, not that any music created past 1993 is good...

  • love the sound of the record crackle, today no one listens to records anymore there loss.

  • But IT'S NOT from Atom Heart Mother it's from Meddle ! "IF" is though...

  • Pink floyd... the legend...

the most wonderful version of one of these days

  • LEGENDS IN THE BREWING-SAIS PERSIAN

  • if, take me back my mental mood when i was young like peace in my soul and lightness of being. Maxborg56 from italy.

  • Maravilloso, me hace llorar, es preciosa!!!

  • IF is THE SONG!

  • If I had a time machine...I'd watch Pink Floyd.......

  • Musicaly floyd made better songs than if, but it's still beautiful and the text is great. It's so real to me.

  • if i had a big one id be a star

  • "if u like listening to live music u got bad taste"

that has to be one of the dumbest comments I have ever heard in my entire life

  • I have to agree with you on this one, although I don't think people who listen to live music has bad taste, everyone has a different taste.

Anyways Pink Floyd's music is always better recorded because of the sound effects etc.

  • ummm this isn't "live" this is how vinyl sounds....

  • These are live versions, not the original album recordings. If is a gorgeous song, and I prefer always the studio version... there the piano and the bass are awesome, and give more feeling to the lyrics, but they are missing in the few live versions that i've heard (that's why I prefer the studio version). One of the best albums of Pink Floyd. Great!!!!

  • Fat old sun, summer evening birds...I like marmalade, I like marmalade....I wish I could understand the spaces between friends....Atom Heart Mother is the best.

  • estan buenos los dos ejem, si... los tienen lo suyo, si >_>... If I go insane... please don`t put your wires in my brain... man, that hurt me plenty

  • que lindo tema :D

  • Tienes Razon

  • Impresionante que sea una versión tan distina del vinil al Cd de One of these days..

  • one of the greatets of all times

  • i finally get to hear a vinyl version of if. even if its online and the same version.

  • fav pink floyd song "if".

  • Love the needle going!

  • Funky Dung

  • This is my favorite of all time. What a pity that Floyd hate this piece so much. It is never played on the radio and never talked about....in the UK that is. I read a recent interview with a couple of the band members and they will not even speak about AHM. It was hard work for them recording live and with an orchestra. The only well known excerpt from this album is spoken and used now and again by DJs ''Silence in the studio''

  • This is one of the best Floyd tracks ever. A truly amazing record.reminds me of Junior Year.

    Classic.

  • if i were a fish, i would have subwoofers so deep as the bottom of the unheard cattle fart which welches the wires in my brain, arpeggio. flub dub.

  • Atom Heart Mother is a brillant piece of work,it proves that Floyd can make orcastrated music sound awesome.AHM is also a great album to sit back and relax to.

  • never cared about being late again

  • i just got this album a couple of days ago... and am glad i did... the older the albums the better

  • Whoa! Vintage If! I likeee!

  • There's a couple of classics on this album. "If" is the standout piece. nice guitar solos.

  • This was always one of my Favorite albums... that through Meddle was the true pink floyd sound

  • for some moments if .sounds like radiohead i dont know why it could just be me !!!is just pink floyd is 1000 times better than radio head>>long live this album atom heart mother and meddlee

  • Why is this album considered to not be one of PF's best albums? I have never understood that. To me, this is the last good album they made. Back in the day, we listened to vinyl because that is all we had. I always thought of "If" as relief from the onslaught. Back in the days of Insane Liberation.

  • Je n'en suis pas sur, mais la face B est super
