It does have a beefier sound and I wouldn't use the word "heavy" to describe the stooges sound, heavy doesn't do them justice. Maybe "like a huge fucking bomb of raw rock n roll", they're indescribable.

One of the best chili peppers performances i've seen - an explosion of energy and a great song! I've seen them live 3 times in Scotland and they were great everytime, i do prefer their older stuff, but if they made the same record over and over it would be boring.

PS. anyone think there is a serious lack of talent amoung new bands? i struggle to find any i like except a few like the mars volta and they've been around for 5 years!
