And tell all the true, what about that senator who brought goods smugling into our country , when it came to the spotlight, you said you never knew about this and he got to jail, then the reporters wanted and interview but Evo and you threat him to not to speak and to reporter til thiday are aloud to interview him, cause he wanted to talk everything about this shit that this people are doing, and yesterday they changed almost evryone in the senate cause they are opositing to you fucking robbers.
Just Another government taking away all the money they can, why dont you show the films of your parties whit evo, at least you could used that money for charity isn´t, i give anything I can to people in the street despite the shit money i earn for so much effort, god will punish all this liars.
Go fuck yourself. motherfucker Alvaro Garcia Linera, our country is devastated worse than ever, Evo and you are talking shit to the world, the poverty increases more thanks to you bastards, is the sickest government ever, why dont you talk about the raising of the cocaine, the Cartels that are appearing that we never heard before, they controling everything whit crimes, you filled your pocjets whit all the money of all of us, but did you gave anything to children or the elder, no of course.
This is bullshit. As an example, Africa is full of European made cars than American. It's not a problem for the u.s. if Africa makes cars. But it's a whole big deal for Europe.
Those European thinkers are just there to demonize the u.s, blaming Washington and Wall Street. They are actually the assholes.
I don't know any American citizen who is a dictator president in Africa. Most of them have French citizenship. Former colony
You honestly think that a more "grassroots" system would work?
You know nothing of economics, human nature, and why the two reciprocate then, clearly.
But keep heartbleeding for those who are incapable of overcoming their social class via mobility, keep feeling sorry for failure "hood" struggles, and hating those who are the successes that allow you to consume and live the lives of indulgence that you do, keep hating wall street, you amusingly retarded leftists...
@touchNazty that's not the only reason. It has a lot to do with the government and people are just ignorant. They are too lazy to actually get up and make some kind of difference. Poverty is such a horrific thing to go through. Don't boast saying you know everything. It's a lot more than you think.
watch "Secret of Oz" by Bill Still for the real cause of poverty and real solutions. the key is to take back the money power from the banking cartels. governments can coin their own sovereign currency debt-free and regulate its quantity to ensure maximum employment and good living standards. See still2012 [dot] c o m
I've watched the entire movie and i find it very educational,i feel inspired, i feel like i wanna take action right now, although it left me with an unanswered question and i hope someone here can answer it,sorry for my ignorance. The question is,why did the french colonialism not been mentioned in this amazing documentary?thank you.
Thanks for Sharing Saved!! Much appreciated Kind Regards, MP friends
The Face of Imperialism, 2011;
Dr Michael Parenti adds shocking new evidence to the litany of injustices visited upon victims of U.S. imperialism: expropriation of their communal wealth and natural resources, complete privatization and deregulation of their economies, loss of local markets, deterioration of their living standards, a growing debt burden, and the bloodstained suppression of their democratic movements.
@matenzo for "these people" - sweetie, this is affecting YOU too! THis is one planet, one ocean, one earth, one atmosphere ... and it is being destroyed every day!
@merryprankster60 dude I' m greek. trust me, every single person in my country is watching this first hand. But extreme poverty is just on a different level altogether.
@matenzo for "these people"? - sweetie, this is affecting YOU too! THis is one planet, one ocean, one earth, one atmosphere ... and it is being destroyed every day!
I really hate it, when people use their amount of children as an argument to make te west veel sorry for them... So it's our fault that some people have 12 children???
@rave1704 No, it's the west's fault that we invaded their lands, destroyed their governments, religions, financial structures and so on and then proceeded to exhaust their natural resources therefore condemning them to extreme poverty.
Look at every white country in the world, all first world powers! look at all the nigger and spic countries, all 3rd world shitholes! They can't take care of themselfs! They expect whites to help. It's not our fault that they are to dumb to run a country!
This is a true example of why "the love of money is the root of all evil" and why "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." The more money one person has means the less money someone else has.
At 62 years & w/grandchildren now, and after searching for intelligent answers to the 'people' problems we all face, to me, THE VENUS PROJECT IS THE ONLY SOLUTION. If we don't come together as ONE family, we are doomed.
Sorry, but that's how I see it. Please join us in a movement BEYOND politics, poverty & war. Join thezeitgeistmovement and thevenusproject. READ the FAQ's, listen to the many videos and see how WE CAN create a better future for future generations.
American forces don't fight they slay poor vs poor for own enemy, Both poor uneducated and alien, exploited,do corporate murders, china is your banker as it's still state economy of communist control CASH semmehaaak, USA is broke, welfare 2 Isreal #1 welfare state, parasite W.M.D , the third world will tire of 5%all {us}percent USA, .001 born wealth left like future, who export its riches, left state already. USA 99% poor,It over basic needs, I We have 30 nations EAL6 7-14-2012 fools awake,
because the Bible predicts it. Before the end, before God steps in and restores earth to a Paradise, it will go from bad to worse...no matter what man does.
because they populate so much. as simple as that. They have been poor since biblical time. US will become one of them once the minorities become majority.
Such a controversial movie, they're really pushing the envelope and sending us a message I think we all need to hear. Poverty is not caused from people being lazy, it's caused because the fucking government takes all their money and resources so they can make fucking castles and guns, while evryone else is just trying to survive with what they have. There will NEVER be even distribution of wealth because the ones who have it all, always want more.
There is no honor today and all are blind to the evil, money changers hold on everyone as slaves. In a system of HONOR each toils and keeps his produce (the definition of REPUBLIC) but today we have the Elite running a supposed DEMOCRACY and creating money with the stroke of a pen instead of their 'labor'. It will only end in ruin until the slumbering giant (the people) wake up and realize We are SOVEREIGN. ronintruth(dot)blogspot(dot)com
None of that food would exist without the U.S. people working hard to make it. Not that it would be better for some fat people to give their food to charity, but without them working behind computers that food would be nonexistent.
Christ said the poor would always be with us. That was what, 2000 years ago? What else hasn't changed in 2000 years? Control of the many by the few.
Americans fought their elites for 140 years in order to have a share of the wealth. Now we derive our wealth from the world. What if the world's poor wants to take back their wealth in the same manner the American people gained theirs--through violence?
the reality is we would have to significantly lower are standard of living for poverty to end, and i do not think social group in the U.S. is willing to do that.
Well, I agree with that somewhat. What I don't understand is why it's only America's problem? The Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, Singaporians, Saudis, Europeans, Japanese etc.... All are living by very high standards and all share an equal responsibility for things being the way they are.
honestly we wouldn't have to... the world really does have the wealth to end poverty... if the Middle East Oil Barons actually paid the 2.5% charity they are required to by Islam, poverty would be eradicated.
More communist propaganda. This should be titled "End to all Wealth?" Natural resources are useless if people can't utilize the number one resource FREEDOM. We create 25% of the worlds wealth, but use less than 6% of worlds natural resources.
you are such an ignorant idiot. I long to see the day your type die out. If I had the power, i'd kill everyone who believes in your nonsense with my own hands. (at bleakfacts)
Is it a communist tradition to murder everyone who disagrees with them? Anyways you should go learn how the economy works, then you would know poverty is created by evil dictators and communists/
what a surprise, I am Russian. If the idiot doesn't learn, you teach them again; if he persists on being an ignorant idiot, you kill him. that's what i would do.
You are Russian, so what? Does that suppose to mean you are murderous like Stalin? Any idiot can call another an idiot, but it takes someone with some intelligence to prove that person an idiot.
Please educate me, exactly what's wrong with what I typed?
1) I haven't got the time to argue or educate people of your mythology. I can leave you with these words though - the reason poverty exists in this world is because of people like you. I don't mean to generalize, but it appears that the wealthy minority in this world would remain so than live in equality. The utter lack of success in a capitalistic system must be realized for change to occur (and I do want change, as I have lost much hope in humanity). To live in a system in which a family on
2)one side of the planet lives in excess and another in utter misery is not an economic model that should be followed. I simply do not understand how can you think consuming 25% of the worlds resources for a 5% global population alright? I am not an arrogant person, therefore, I refuse to follow your economic scheme, as its a measure of success is based on anothers failure. I called you an idiot because you consistently refuse to see things from a rational perspective.
3)The only way your mentality can change is if you live in the third world. Since thats not possible, and Im sorry to say this, our planet would be a lot more righteous if your kind died out. Harsh, but I could not find another alternative during my years of philosophizing.
1)Wherever there's free trade(capitalism) it has succeeded to bring prosperity. There's a wealthy minority, because only a minority of people has the freedom to trade. How can people like me advocating people to be left alone, to peacefully trade and produce, cause poverty? On the hand you want soldier and police to go force people to give away their products from their labors and that suppose to solve poverty.
Free market? Oh god, I can't believe people fall for that shit. Learn some economics before you convince people with this. The market is not free. It is regulated by those who have money. Selling and buying stocks in large quantities cause it to fluctuate, thus, making it not free as there is a conflict of interest for those who have money. Your claim about the resources untapped all depends on which book you read. Is there a correlation to what you claim and your name? Bleak, indeed.
Selling and buying stocks does not control the economy. The economy is controlled by what products or services people buy. Without free trade their would be no economy. You have a job?your friends have jobs? That's their freedom to produce and trade their produce.Third world countries have their freedom taken from them by their government. How can you claim you know anything about economics when you claim basic economics don't exist.(i.e. free trade)
amen basic economics this shit is socialist although i do think the government should provide more for the poor this movie is pushing for a future that will never happen in a modern economic world
2) First most of the worlds natural resources remain untapped, because most of it is in countries with little freedom to trade. Second, without the U.S. the resources it uses would still be in the ground. You mistake natural resources with wealth that would dissipate without it being constantly made. Your static view of wealth is irrational.
@tranceire If I understand you correctly your saying that all people that think like BLEAKFACTS should die? Then I question your "years of philosophizing" that is irrational. I don't believe it is the wealthy's fault poverty exists in the world. It is not Bill Gates fault that a man living in poverty can't feed his family. Why would a man who lives in poverty have 6 kids? (This too is irrational)
are you for real, or are you being a jerk. he has only been in office 1 year. what is he guilty for wanting to make some changes. now if he wanted to kill arabs you would probably love him right?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
My comment is called sarcasm. Barry has done nothing to help this country and pray that he will golf the rest of his 1,088 days that he has left in office. He has defended terrorists, let them off easy, F Obama, F you and F all the ARABS! so yes if Obama bombed all of the Arabs I would love him.
Bomb the Arabs? This spoken by someone who has never seen the truth of war... Go to combat and then tell me if you think war is the answer... Watch your friends die in your hands and then temm me its worth it...
"We think... we can go on in the old ways... more competition, more greed... It is not so any longer; it does not work. If two-thirds of the worlds population are living in poverty then the economic system does not work. If we think that they will go on without asking that it work for them, then we are sorely out of step with reality. Maitreya will make that clear." Benjamin Creme
"Without sharing there can be no justice; without justice there can be no peace..."
if there was legal business in africa that was fair for all and benifiting all parties we would not see such devastating tragedies all around this continent.
How can you get rid of poverty, classes, theft, hunger, overpopulation, corruption, waste, indebtedness, war, etc? In the past 6,000 yrs there has been little success in eradicating these issues. How do you eliminate the Root Causes of these problems?
i dont think we will ever see the end of poverty unless we demolish every single corrupt bank there is in the world, unless people are free to move where ever they want and carry out lawful business as they like we will never see the end of poverty
Africa was rich and more prosperous than europe and the west before it was colonized, all this poverty was created in the last century, although colonialism has ended, financhial slavery is still ongoing
I notice everyone keeps mentioning Africa. Does the movie only discuss Africa--no other countries are mentioned? The same questions could be easily brought up in the US. For all of the trillions that flow through the US you'll still see homeless people sleeping outside and tons of trailer park homes or low income housing (projects). Is it that the US lower class needs more financial aid or what?
im sorry but have you completely forgotten how much worse off afrca is compared to all other places on earth? thats the reason why i mentioned africa its a continent that has been exploited and abused throuhout centuries so its not exactly something we can push into a small corner and ignore.
I'm certainly aware that Africa is the most deplorable continent. I'm just wondering why everyone starts talking solely about African countries even though the trailer (I haven't seen the movie) doesn't exclusively mention Africa. Perhaps the media has conditioned most so well that you and most other commentators immediately think of Africa instead of say, Mississippi or the Philippines.
excuse me but the citizens of mississippi (as much as i pity their condition and no way look down upon their suffering) DO NOT LIVE ON A DOLAR A DAY, the citizens of the philipines do not suffer the effects and scares of wars and unedndng drought and famine. i think ur extreamly uninformed if you can compare missisippi to Afria which needs urgent attention as it is the white nations and ironically now the eastern nation who are taking advantage of their phlight.
First, I ALREADY stated Africa had the worst conditions on earth, so why would you say that I was comparing? And again you failed to answer the question of why you (and many others) singled out Africa when the trailer Does Not Specify? Instead of answering you instead decided to twist my words. The movie is about POVERTY not Africa. Secondly, success in free markets DEMANDS that one take advantage.
Go to Wikipedia & see the 'List of countries by GDP'
since when did i "twist your words"? i merely responded to your uninformed assertions, if you dont want people to misunderstand you dont cause he misunderstanding in the first place.
i never said this trailer was about Africa please read between the lines, just because i sympathize with Africa dosnt mean i dont realize that poverty is global.
I know that spoken languages are inefficient for good communication, but if one states "Africa is the most deplorable continent" and that in "the US you'll still see homeless people" along with the fact that in order to be successful in a free market one must take advantage of opportunities, then what is "uninformed" about those statements? BTW legal businesses screwed African countries in the 1st place, so your idea sounds nice but won't work.
"legal business"? snce when is it legal to sell wepons to countries that hold poor human rights records? when did it become "legal" to use little kids in sweat shops and sell the product of their labour in western countries for higher prices whilst ripping of those who made it? when did it become "legal" to use the natural resurces of African countries to benifit, not africans, but westerners who often dont give a damn about poverty?
legal business you tell me? legal business my left foot.
Obviously, it's legal. It may not be ethical but it is legal. The US & companies like Haliburton providing weapons to Iraq, Afghanistan, China, & other countries that have poor human rights laws is very legal. If certain countries don't protect against child labor or don't uphold good labor rights then, yes, it''s legal for Nike to have sweat shops in Indonesia. None of these things may be morally correct but it is profitable and that's all that matters with free trade.
right ,so let me see if i understand you correctly, you''re tellimg me that its "legal" to use little children in sweat shops and deprive them of education? its legal to do so yet would you put any of you're kids through it? its "legal" to sell wepons to a rouge state which mass murders its own people like congo and Somalia and sudan?
if something is unethical its also illegal, i dont know how you can sit there and say "oh well we're making money from it so it must be legal".
"some will have to die", there are people who committ suicide every year because they dont have health care and no hope that their lives will ever improve. Capitalism can kill you.
Colonizers earned their gains by threat of/military force, and the 'poor' are only poor because 'we' have stolen their resources (fundamentally, LAND - the ability to feed oneself, if nothing else), which *created* the need for "aid" in the first place. The trolls here who keep going on about "aid" are missing one of the main points of the film, namely that "aid" doesn't actually benefit the alleged recipients, it benefits the countries providing the aid. Period.
Maybe that's the rule you want to follow but not the majority of humanity. Your rule can only become fashionable if people started teaching it to their kids. Fat chance of that happening.
so 'socialize or die' does not mean exactly that: kill or be killed?
think again...
besides, that is EXACTLY the rule muslims are being taught from birth. And look where it got them: a dominant force on earth worthy of retaliation by the strongest of strong nations.
Liberal, passive viewpoints will only get you killed. Don't you get it? With the overpopulation of the earth (thanks to FEEDING of the 'poor'), we already at that stage: kill or be killed.
Nope, entirely different rules. It takes wisdom to know the difference.
If you think muslims are being taught "kill or be killed" then I think you really have a long way to go in understanding them. If you equate liberalism with passivity, then you don't understand that either.
Remember: you not only have to wake up to the problem; you have to go to school after waking up.
maybe we should educate them in contraception but conservatives and the catholic church and the Pope tell them otherwise. Overpopulation, ok, but whose fault is it?
Oh, last thought. While it's great poverty is getting more awareness, it is never a substitute of true, unbiased, neutral knowledge.
I DISLIKE people who believe movies are adequate sources of information; you might as well just quote stuff from Wikipedia.
People only understand as much as they know; if they only know one side, they will only understand one side. That to me is never truly, fully understanding.
The problem is not so much as to how to help poor countries; You can't help something that is caused by a system that is suppose to create them. Instead, what needs more focus is either: getting rid of the system (which is highly unlikely) or have the poor countries go along the same system.
It's a sad fact that the winners always rule - from writing history to what system we'll live by. If we are to help them, we need to go in there and literally change their infrastructure to resemble ours.
Capitalism has one very critical inherent flaw: hierachy of socio-economic classes. Even Fling cannot argue out of this flaw; the very designers of capitalism even stated this as a flaw. Since this world is becoming increasingly capitalistic, we will have poor countries as a result.
As for my two cent, there is merit to what Fling said. Constantly providing monetary aid has yet to yield any progress. The anti-poverty programs and these movies do nothing, except providing monetary aid, which does nothing; we're dealing with "Give a man a fish" scenario. What we need is either: a new form of aid or cut them off completely. While my more ruthless side will side with Fling (cuttin them off completely), I have one thought that does prevents me from completely siding with him.
Passion is great, don't get me wrong, but it's also dangerous, because we become entrenched and blinded by our belief that we are correct and become condescending.
Insulting another never, in all of time, contributes to an argument nor move it.
Now, I'm not exempting Fling; he did the same things. What I want out of this is that both sides will argue WITH REASON and NOT passionately insult each other.
Whether FlingwingGolfer wants it or not, I'm going to defend him, but only because of how this debate turned rather nasty.
People shouldn't immediately turn to passion; it'd be an insult to our kind to waste a gift like reason. While I commend those who are passionate about the poverty issue, those same people are starting to become ignorant and no better than Fling.
Funny how everybody tries to shoot my comments down when all I'm doing is stating the truth.
Typical. "Conform to your illogical ill-advised viewpoints or be banned!"
The world's solution lies not in FEEDING the problem, but in getting rid of it.
Anti-poverty programs ARE the problem. Liberalism is the ultimate cancer of the planet. Nothing comes even close to it, not even communism or dictatorships...
hahah It makes no matter what party it is, they are both bought and paid for my the banking cartel that screws up this world. So you are right on the "MINE is YOURS", tell the bankers to STOP that Bullshit and Poverty would not be such an issue.
We can create abundance and end scarcity, but money rewards Scarcity not abundance. Need to end money to have a real civilization.
It's the Resources that is the real question not money. Money is and will always be a nothing thing.
it seems like you want to find fundamentalism with fundamentalism as in a total death struggle. In such case you become no different than your enemy.
we already had those types of conflicts in the past. totalitarian views of the world do not offer practical solutions. beside the world cannot be reduced to a black and white scenario, it seems to me that it is more complicated than that.
so you just want to approve the (failing) idea of letting the poor breed uncontrolled with the help of OUR money just because we are supposed to feel sorry for them? We have limited resources: what's the logic in feeding the problem if it means we ALL suffer in the end because someone said we should keep on giving undeserved aid to those that shouldn't get it, don't deserve it but keep on breeding us all out of existence. It should stop somewhere. Solution: start with the REAL problem.
Where are you getting your ideas, Flingwing? How did you arrive at the thought that fighting poverty and helping the poor means letting them breed uncontrollably? Your analysis of the problem is too naive. Have you even considered that the problem of resource management may not be a zero-sum game? Please study the problem well before suggesting any solution. Do not swallow everything the conservatives tell you. Think out of the box, please.
no conservative preaches to me, I think for myself. I can observe, analyze and make up my own mind. The only faction nobody should listen to is LIBERALISM, who ARE the problem. They want me to care for the problem, not fix it. Eradicate the PROBLEM, and the symptoms will go away. It's called LOGIC, and liberals lack it. I don't even vote, that's how I disagree with the system. I decide for myself. Everybody should, and eventually they'll agree with me. You know it. Get some exposure in Africa...
Liberals, Conservatives, they're pretty much the same. They all play the same game. They all take money from big corporations. They almost all look to preserve their positions in office and gain more clout. Continue to be an independent thinker, and instead of berating 1 party or group why not berate the game they play and the system they exploit?
Just because what I say sounds like I support one system over another does not make it so. The conservative system just happens to be thinking along the same lines as me. Yes, I am conservative in nature, that's what life taught me, but that does not mean I support 'conservatives' blindly. I have MANY years in Africa, and I can tell you this: you cannot rid yourself of a virus by nurturing it. And yes, all politicians are scumbags, 'bipartisan-ly' so... Don't let the MSM be your guidance.
Regarding your other discussions we should make some things clear. It takes 2 to tango so saying the North is dependent on the South could be said in reverse. China has money in reserves because they supplied the US & EU with cheap goods. What would we ever do if Asia didn't make LCDs? Most of these situations are of co-dependency. Just like the US depends on corporations for tax revenue, construction & loans. Thus the US 'rightfully' bailed them out instead of employees.
Oh please. It is common knowledge: those with a victim mentality think they DESERVE help. We owe it to them. And they have that victim mentality because the liberal idiot taught it to them. Now the liberal idiot makes movies like this to try and jerk my tears, all so I should give MORE to those that WRONGLY assume they deserve it. They don't! And no person in their right mind can tell the truth and say they DO deserve it in the same sentence! I work HARD, I don't carry a begging bowl all day!
'FlingwingGolfer' is an idiot, and clearly someone who NEEDS to see the film, so he can understand that the poor do NOT "rely on 'Western aid", and in fact, 'the West" relies on poor countries' financing! Flingwing's 'prosperity' is a direct result of the exploitation of others, and it's totally ignorant asses like Flingwing that have gotten this planet into the mess it's in!
Great new HD trailer, CinemaLibre! Hope the NY & LA launches go well!
We don't care about third world shitholes who are third world shitholes because the third world shithollers cannot keep their pants zipped up long enough to not breed.
you breed it, you feed it.
nowhere in earth's natural state does it not work like that, so why should it work like that for worthless humans?
Third-worlders are worthless humans? This is more the republican in you talking...come out and say what you're really thinking instead of this word play crap. What else do you think of "third world" people?
The only people who profit in Africa are elites, being paid bribes and hush money masqueraded as "aid" which they then place right back into Swiss banks. And when these corrupt leaders are gone, the people of these unfortunate countries are left with crushing odious debt. The relationship between the West and the rest is more than symbiotic...it's downright parasitic.
As if that's not bad enough, Western donors insist often on neoliberal practices that gut local infrastructure, destroy local economies and funnel wealth, resources back to the West. So peoples once able to feed themselves are reduced to begging and famines (Niger 2006) after these disastrous structural policies. And when the inevitable conflicts of this insane situation erupts, the weapons dealers are waiting alongside the resource plunderers. It's a ponzi scheme on a global scale.
For instance, he talks about all the "aid" given to Africa. What is seldom known is that in the US for instance, aid comes with strings. Most aid given to African countries comes with stipulations that force govts to purchase only US goods/products. Using the aid for *self-sustaining* infrastructure is usually out of the question. It's estimated that the US gets back 90 cents of every dollar it gives out in aid.
The problem with people like FlingwingGolfer is that they speak out of ignorance, which isn't all their fault, because it's what they've been taught--even by some of the well-meaning anti-poverty groups in the West.
I speak out of ignorance??? No, YOU speak out of ignorance just by saying that. Don't you get it? The more you FEED, the more they BREED.
Don't try to play the 'emotional' card and think I'm going to hand over my hard earned cash so the anti-poverty farce assholes can buy more maize to feed the gaping holes. No, I'm not ignorant, I am EXPERIENCED. I have more experience on that continent than you will ever have. I've seen, and experienced it first hand, for a very long time. I KNOW, you deny...
I think we should end poverty but you could never do so in a capitalist economy. Capitalism is based off survival of the fittest so Asian, African or Latin American always get the shaft. The IMF or richer countries then give aid or loans to the 'losers'. Any loan has conditions. If they don't like the terms then don't take the funds or take it & disregard the terms. The discussion that I don't see here is how do you eradicate poverty? How do you improve global standards of living?
that "movement" is mildly retarded and has no basis in reality whatsoever, as is everything about zeitgeist
dont you think its funny that they tell you monetary economy is bad, and on their website they have a store and donate section. Its a scam. They give absolutely no practical details about a resource based economy. its beyond a pipe dream
I will take what you've stated as though you are sincere. The "movement" is what I will make it. Calling it names does not make much sense. You either see it or you don't. Most enslaved Africans didn't realize they were slaves. It was just 'the way things are.' The monetary system is bad because it reenforces bad behaviors [racism, war, etc.,]. Using money in THIS CONTEXT to right the wrong is no contridiction or conflict.
Do You have alternatives? Or is this[SLAVERY] system BLISS for you?
Your frustration is misplaced. The monetary system is not what needs to be replaced. It is the system that controls that system. And I'm sure there are many alternatives much more practical than changing the entire worlds economy into resource based economy (which would produce more conflict)
No frustration here. I didn't contact anyone regarding questions about my own ideas to the misery that most of the world is experiencing due to this [monetary or evil conspirators] system. I am quite content of the facts regarding this reality. I have even centered on an approach not leaving it to "many alternatives" while much of the world is in agony. Your view is discussed in the movement but sadly such views don't get very far due to the overwhelming EVIDENCE offered against it.
How can people get rid of poverty, classes, theft, hunger, overcrowding, corruption, waste, indebtedness, war, etc? In the past 6,000 yrs most of the world has had these problems with little success in eradicating them. What do you think would be practical yet effective enough to eliminate the Root Causes of these problems? Once you can design a system then you devise the transition process. Agree?
That's a typical response from someone who doesn't understand 'our system' that determines how 'goods' are traded globally. Our *economic system* (what you call a 'monetary economy') is bad because it's designed to reward thieves who exploit others, usually the people who can least afford it (people who weren't considered 'poor' until European models of colonization & capitalism - ie - our current economic system - became the norm).
allowing these countries to get rid of free market capitalism, not money itself, will protect them from extortion.
And can you imagine how impractical a resource based economy would be? Much less the transition to one?
And imagine if multiple resources became vital parts of the economy. Military contractors would pillage the world for those resources much like oil today
k0jak, you aren't making much sense, seriously. 'Money' (as in, paper & coins) has little to do with anything, and it's not the issue the film raises anyway...
Your comment that a resource-based economy is impractical is totally senseless - 'poor' countries are exploited *because* of their resources which already *are* "vital parts of the economy" - what do you think "things" are made from? Trees, oil, coal, palm, soy, corn, coltan, tin, gold, silver, etc. - aka "resources" !
when i say vital i mean life or death for the rich countries. like when russia collapsed from low oil prices. our economy doesn't live die based on trees or corn.
and all those problems you mention can be solved as i mentioned before, but ill say it again, by allowing them to close their markets and practice protectionism
and im not talking about this film, someone else brought up the Venus Project and i thought you were defending it, so i dont even know what we're arguing about.
Unfortunately the poor rarely get access to their own resources, which are instead exported by multinational corps as raw materials, manufactured elsewhere, and then sold back to them (which of course they can't afford, because they've lost their land/livelihoods, etc.)! Imagine you're a farmer, your land is stolen/pillaged by a corp that grows food on it, and then you have no choice but to buy what they sell you, if you want to eat! Evil! So yes, it does start wars, that's part of the problem!

You know nothing of economics, human nature, and why the two reciprocate then, clearly.

@touchNazty that's not the only reason. It has a lot to do with the government and people are just ignorant. They are too lazy to actually get up and make some kind of difference. Poverty is such a horrific thing to go through. Don't boast saying you know everything. It's a lot more than you think.

The Face of Imperialism, 2011;

Poverty is not caused from people being lazy, it's caused because the fucking government takes all their money and resources so they can make fucking castles and guns, while evryone else is just trying to survive with what they have. There will NEVER be even distribution of wealth because the ones who have it all, always want more.

1) I haven't got the time to argue or educate people of your mythology. I can leave you with these words though - the reason poverty exists in this world is because of people like you. I don't mean to generalize, but it appears that the wealthy minority in this world would remain so than live in equality. The utter lack of success in a capitalistic system must be realized for change to occur (and I do want change, as I have lost much hope in humanity). To live in a system in which a family on
tranceire 2 years ago
2)one side of the planet lives in excess and another in utter misery is not an economic model that should be followed. I simply do not understand how can you think consuming 25% of the worlds resources for a 5% global population alright? I am not an arrogant person, therefore, I refuse to follow your economic scheme, as its a measure of success is based on anothers failure. I called you an idiot because you consistently refuse to see things from a rational perspective.
tranceire 2 years ago
3)The only way your mentality can change is if you live in the third world. Since thats not possible, and Im sorry to say this, our planet would be a lot more righteous if your kind died out. Harsh, but I could not find another alternative during my years of philosophizing.
tranceire 2 years ago
1)Wherever there's free trade(capitalism) it has succeeded to bring prosperity. There's a wealthy minority, because only a minority of people has the freedom to trade. How can people like me advocating people to be left alone, to peacefully trade and produce, cause poverty? On the hand you want soldier and police to go force people to give away their products from their labors and that suppose to solve poverty.
Bleakfacts 2 years ago
Free market? Oh god, I can't believe people fall for that shit. Learn some economics before you convince people with this. The market is not free. It is regulated by those who have money. Selling and buying stocks in large quantities cause it to fluctuate, thus, making it not free as there is a conflict of interest for those who have money. Your claim about the resources untapped all depends on which book you read. Is there a correlation to what you claim and your name? Bleak, indeed.
tranceire 2 years ago
Selling and buying stocks does not control the economy. The economy is controlled by what products or services people buy. Without free trade their would be no economy. You have a job?your friends have jobs? That's their freedom to produce and trade their produce.Third world countries have their freedom taken from them by their government. How can you claim you know anything about economics when you claim basic economics don't exist.(i.e. free trade)
Bleakfacts 1 year ago
amen basic economics this shit is socialist although i do think the government should provide more for the poor this movie is pushing for a future that will never happen in a modern economic world
ox113 1 year ago
2) First most of the worlds natural resources remain untapped, because most of it is in countries with little freedom to trade. Second, without the U.S. the resources it uses would still be in the ground. You mistake natural resources with wealth that would dissipate without it being constantly made. Your static view of wealth is irrational.
Bleakfacts 2 years ago
@tranceire If I understand you correctly your saying that all people that think like BLEAKFACTS should die? Then I question your "years of philosophizing" that is irrational. I don't believe it is the wealthy's fault poverty exists in the world. It is not Bill Gates fault that a man living in poverty can't feed his family. Why would a man who lives in poverty have 6 kids? (This too is irrational)

Is it that the US lower class needs more financial aid or what?
residualwealth 2 years ago
im sorry but have you completely forgotten how much worse off afrca is compared to all other places on earth? thats the reason why i mentioned africa its a continent that has been exploited and abused throuhout centuries so its not exactly something we can push into a small corner and ignore.
RedSeaCoral 2 years ago
I'm certainly aware that Africa is the most deplorable continent. I'm just wondering why everyone starts talking solely about African countries even though the trailer (I haven't seen the movie) doesn't exclusively mention Africa. Perhaps the media has conditioned most so well that you and most other commentators immediately think of Africa instead of say, Mississippi or the Philippines.
residualwealth 2 years ago
excuse me but the citizens of mississippi (as much as i pity their condition and no way look down upon their suffering) DO NOT LIVE ON A DOLAR A DAY, the citizens of the philipines do not suffer the effects and scares of wars and unedndng drought and famine. i think ur extreamly uninformed if you can compare missisippi to Afria which needs urgent attention as it is the white nations and ironically now the eastern nation who are taking advantage of their phlight.
speak wisely please.
RedSeaCoral 2 years ago
First, I ALREADY stated Africa had the worst conditions on earth, so why would you say that I was comparing? And again you failed to answer the question of why you (and many others) singled out Africa when the trailer Does Not Specify? Instead of answering you instead decided to twist my words. The movie is about POVERTY not Africa. Secondly, success in free markets DEMANDS that one take advantage.
Go to Wikipedia & see the 'List of countries by GDP'
residualwealth 2 years ago
since when did i "twist your words"? i merely responded to your uninformed assertions, if you dont want people to misunderstand you dont cause he misunderstanding in the first place.
i never said this trailer was about Africa please read between the lines, just because i sympathize with Africa dosnt mean i dont realize that poverty is global.
RedSeaCoral 2 years ago
I know that spoken languages are inefficient for good communication, but if one states "Africa is the most deplorable continent" and that in "the US you'll still see homeless people" along with the fact that in order to be successful in a free market one must take advantage of opportunities, then what is "uninformed" about those statements? BTW legal businesses screwed African countries in the 1st place, so your idea sounds nice but won't work.
residualwealth 2 years ago
"legal business"? snce when is it legal to sell wepons to countries that hold poor human rights records? when did it become "legal" to use little kids in sweat shops and sell the product of their labour in western countries for higher prices whilst ripping of those who made it? when did it become "legal" to use the natural resurces of African countries to benifit, not africans, but westerners who often dont give a damn about poverty?
legal business you tell me? legal business my left foot.
RedSeaCoral 2 years ago
Obviously, it's legal. It may not be ethical but it is legal. The US & companies like Haliburton providing weapons to Iraq, Afghanistan, China, & other countries that have poor human rights laws is very legal. If certain countries don't protect against child labor or don't uphold good labor rights then, yes, it''s legal for Nike to have sweat shops in Indonesia. None of these things may be morally correct but it is profitable and that's all that matters with free trade.
residualwealth 2 years ago
right ,so let me see if i understand you correctly, you''re tellimg me that its "legal" to use little children in sweat shops and deprive them of education? its legal to do so yet would you put any of you're kids through it? its "legal" to sell wepons to a rouge state which mass murders its own people like congo and Somalia and sudan?
if something is unethical its also illegal, i dont know how you can sit there and say "oh well we're making money from it so it must be legal".

Fat chance of that happening.
philomonger 2 years ago
so 'socialize or die' does not mean exactly that: kill or be killed?
think again...
besides, that is EXACTLY the rule muslims are being taught from birth.
Wake up to it, or die. Choice is simple.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
Nope, entirely different rules. It takes wisdom to know the difference.
If you think muslims are being taught "kill or be killed" then I think you really have a long way to go in understanding them. If you equate liberalism with passivity, then you don't understand that either.
Remember: you not only have to wake up to the problem; you have to go to school after waking up.

If we are to help them, we need to go in there and literally change their infrastructure to resemble ours.
thomaseo 2 years ago
Capitalism has one very critical inherent flaw: hierachy of socio-economic classes. Even Fling cannot argue out of this flaw; the very designers of capitalism even stated this as a flaw. Since this world is becoming increasingly capitalistic, we will have poor countries as a result.
thomaseo 2 years ago
As for my two cent, there is merit to what Fling said. Constantly providing monetary aid has yet to yield any progress. The anti-poverty programs and these movies do nothing, except providing monetary aid, which does nothing; we're dealing with "Give a man a fish" scenario. What we need is either: a new form of aid or cut them off completely. While my more ruthless side will side with Fling (cuttin them off completely), I have one thought that does prevents me from completely siding with him.
thomaseo 2 years ago
Passion is great, don't get me wrong, but it's also dangerous, because we become entrenched and blinded by our belief that we are correct and become condescending.
Insulting another never, in all of time, contributes to an argument nor move it.
Now, I'm not exempting Fling; he did the same things. What I want out of this is that both sides will argue WITH REASON and NOT passionately insult each other.
thomaseo 2 years ago
Whether FlingwingGolfer wants it or not, I'm going to defend him, but only because of how this debate turned rather nasty.
People shouldn't immediately turn to passion; it'd be an insult to our kind to waste a gift like reason. While I commend those who are passionate about the poverty issue, those same people are starting to become ignorant and no better than Fling.
thomaseo 2 years ago
Funny how everybody tries to shoot my comments down when all I'm doing is stating the truth.
Typical. "Conform to your illogical ill-advised viewpoints or be banned!"
The world's solution lies not in FEEDING the problem, but in getting rid of it.
Anti-poverty programs ARE the problem. Liberalism is the ultimate cancer of the planet. Nothing comes even close to it, not even communism or dictatorships...
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
Old systems of Money, Government and Politics cannot solve our current problems and solve future ones. You seriously have a closed mind.
JoeTube27 2 years ago
nope, not me. My mind is the one that realizes that with all this 'mine is yours' bullshit we are ALL doomed.
The problem of 'current politics' as you call it is 'political correctness'. THAT is the real problem.
Liberal idiots want me to care about others more than I care about myself. Shoot yourself in the foot if you want, thanks
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
hahah It makes no matter what party it is, they are both bought and paid for my the banking cartel that screws up this world.
JoeTube27 2 years ago
You want us to be politically correct with you but politically incorrect with others.
tristanXIV 2 years ago
No I don't want you to be PC with me. I want the world to WAKE UP and be REALISTIC.
Being PC is exactly what I DON'T want.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
it seems like you want to find fundamentalism with fundamentalism as in a total death struggle. In such case you become no different than your enemy.
we already had those types of conflicts in the past. totalitarian views of the world do not offer practical solutions. beside the world cannot be reduced to a black and white scenario, it seems to me that it is more complicated than that.
tristanXIV 2 years ago
so you just want to approve the (failing) idea of letting the poor breed uncontrolled with the help of OUR money just because we are supposed to feel sorry for them? We have limited resources: what's the logic in feeding the problem if it means we ALL suffer in the end because someone said we should keep on giving undeserved aid to those that shouldn't get it, don't deserve it but keep on breeding us all out of existence. It should stop somewhere. Solution: start with the REAL problem.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
Where are you getting your ideas, Flingwing? How did you arrive at the thought that fighting poverty and helping the poor means letting them breed uncontrollably? Your analysis of the problem is too naive. Have you even considered that the problem of resource management may not be a zero-sum game? Please study the problem well before suggesting any solution. Do not swallow everything the conservatives tell you. Think out of the box, please.
philomonger 2 years ago
no conservative preaches to me, I think for myself.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
I suppose you have your own version of the final solution. What can I say? Heil Flingwing.
philomonger 2 years ago
See? You're catching on already!
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
Liberals, Conservatives, they're pretty much the same. They all play the same game. They all take money from big corporations. They almost all look to preserve their positions in office and gain more clout. Continue to be an independent thinker, and instead of berating 1 party or group why not berate the game they play and the system they exploit?
residualwealth 2 years ago
Just because what I say sounds like I support one system over another does not make it so. The conservative system just happens to be thinking along the same lines as me. Yes, I am conservative in nature, that's what life taught me, but that does not mean I support 'conservatives' blindly. I have MANY years in Africa, and I can tell you this: you cannot rid yourself of a virus by nurturing it. And yes, all politicians are scumbags, 'bipartisan-ly' so... Don't let the MSM be your guidance.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
What is the MSM?
Regarding your other discussions we should make some things clear. It takes 2 to tango so saying the North is dependent on the South could be said in reverse. China has money in reserves because they supplied the US & EU with cheap goods. What would we ever do if Asia didn't make LCDs? Most of these situations are of co-dependency. Just like the US depends on corporations for tax revenue, construction & loans. Thus the US 'rightfully' bailed them out instead of employees.
residualwealth 2 years ago
I suggest you start by defining the term "deserve". Find out what it really means. That word connotes a lot more than what you think.
philomonger 2 years ago
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
'FlingwingGolfer' is an idiot, and clearly someone who NEEDS to see the film, so he can understand that the poor do NOT "rely on 'Western aid", and in fact, 'the West" relies on poor countries' financing! Flingwing's 'prosperity' is a direct result of the exploitation of others, and it's totally ignorant asses like Flingwing that have gotten this planet into the mess it's in!
Great new HD trailer, CinemaLibre! Hope the NY & LA launches go well!
LynX1969 2 years ago
let me put it in a language you can understand:
We don't care about third world shitholes who are third world shitholes because the third world shithollers cannot keep their pants zipped up long enough to not breed.
you breed it, you feed it.
nowhere in earth's natural state does it not work like that, so why should it work like that for worthless humans?
it is UNSUSTAINABLE.
fuckem.
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
Third-worlders are worthless humans? This is more the republican in you talking...come out and say what you're really thinking instead of this word play crap. What else do you think of "third world" people?

This a startling documentary that brings comprehension to the origin of global poverty! Really well done.
dbin78 2 years ago
The only people who profit in Africa are elites, being paid bribes and hush money masqueraded as "aid" which they then place right back into Swiss banks. And when these corrupt leaders are gone, the people of these unfortunate countries are left with crushing odious debt. The relationship between the West and the rest is more than symbiotic...it's downright parasitic.
chocbwoywondah 2 years ago
As if that's not bad enough, Western donors insist often on neoliberal practices that gut local infrastructure, destroy local economies and funnel wealth, resources back to the West. So peoples once able to feed themselves are reduced to begging and famines (Niger 2006) after these disastrous structural policies. And when the inevitable conflicts of this insane situation erupts, the weapons dealers are waiting alongside the resource plunderers. It's a ponzi scheme on a global scale.
chocbwoywondah 2 years ago
For instance, he talks about all the "aid" given to Africa. What is seldom known is that in the US for instance, aid comes with strings. Most aid given to African countries comes with stipulations that force govts to purchase only US goods/products. Using the aid for *self-sustaining* infrastructure is usually out of the question. It's estimated that the US gets back 90 cents of every dollar it gives out in aid.
chocbwoywondah 2 years ago
The problem with people like FlingwingGolfer is that they speak out of ignorance, which isn't all their fault, because it's what they've been taught--even by some of the well-meaning anti-poverty groups in the West.
chocbwoywondah 2 years ago
I speak out of ignorance??? No, YOU speak out of ignorance just by saying that. Don't you get it? The more you FEED, the more they BREED.
Don't try to play the 'emotional' card and think I'm going to hand over my hard earned cash so the anti-poverty farce assholes can buy more maize to feed the gaping holes. No, I'm not ignorant, I am EXPERIENCED. I have more experience on that continent than you will ever have. I've seen, and experienced it first hand, for a very long time. I KNOW, you deny...
FlingwingGolfer 2 years ago
I think we should end poverty but you could never do so in a capitalist economy. Capitalism is based off survival of the fittest so Asian, African or Latin American always get the shaft. The IMF or richer countries then give aid or loans to the 'losers'. Any loan has conditions. If they don't like the terms then don't take the funds or take it & disregard the terms. The discussion that I don't see here is how do you eradicate poverty? How do you improve global standards of living?

The Zeitgeist Movement - The Venus Project.
DaudMusa 2 years ago
The only real logical way to go in.
JoeTube27 2 years ago
So everyone who is poor brought that on themselves? wow, you sir should have been an Abortion.
JoeTube27 2 years ago
that "movement" is mildly retarded and has no basis in reality whatsoever, as is everything about zeitgeist
dont you think its funny that they tell you monetary economy is bad, and on their website they have a store and donate section. Its a scam. They give absolutely no practical details about a resource based economy. its beyond a pipe dream
k0jak37 2 years ago
I will take what you've stated as though you are sincere. The "movement" is what I will make it. Calling it names does not make much sense. You either see it or you don't. Most enslaved Africans didn't realize they were slaves. It was just 'the way things are.' The monetary system is bad because it reenforces bad behaviors [racism, war, etc.,]. Using money in THIS CONTEXT to right the wrong is no contridiction or conflict.
Do You have alternatives? Or is this[SLAVERY] system BLISS for you?
DaudMusa 2 years ago
Your frustration is misplaced. The monetary system is not what needs to be replaced. It is the system that controls that system. And I'm sure there are many alternatives much more practical than changing the entire worlds economy into resource based economy (which would produce more conflict)
k0jak37 2 years ago
No frustration here. I didn't contact anyone regarding questions about my own ideas to the misery that most of the world is experiencing due to this [monetary or evil conspirators] system. I am quite content of the facts regarding this reality. I have even centered on an approach not leaving it to "many alternatives" while much of the world is in agony. Your view is discussed in the movement but sadly such views don't get very far due to the overwhelming EVIDENCE offered against it.
Peace.

Agree?
residualwealth 2 years ago
That's a typical response from someone who doesn't understand 'our system' that determines how 'goods' are traded globally. Our *economic system* (what you call a 'monetary economy') is bad because it's designed to reward thieves who exploit others, usually the people who can least afford it (people who weren't considered 'poor' until European models of colonization & capitalism - ie - our current economic system - became the norm).
LynX1969 2 years ago
allowing these countries to get rid of free market capitalism, not money itself, will protect them from extortion.
And can you imagine how impractical a resource based economy would be? Much less the transition to one?
And imagine if multiple resources became vital parts of the economy. Military contractors would pillage the world for those resources much like oil today
k0jak37 2 years ago
k0jak, you aren't making much sense, seriously.
LynX1969 2 years ago
when i say vital i mean life or death for the rich countries. like when russia collapsed from low oil prices. our economy doesn't live die based on trees or corn.
and all those problems you mention can be solved as i mentioned before, but ill say it again, by allowing them to close their markets and practice protectionism
and im not talking about this film, someone else brought up the Venus Project and i thought you were defending it, so i dont even know what we're arguing about.
k0jak37 2 years ago
Unfortunately the poor rarely get access to their own resources, which are instead exported by multinational corps as raw materials, manufactured elsewhere, and then sold back to them (which of course they can't afford, because they've lost their land/livelihoods, etc.)! Imagine you're a farmer, your land is stolen/pillaged by a corp that grows food on it, and then you have no choice but to buy what they sell you, if you want to eat! Evil! So yes, it does start wars, that's part of the problem!
