  • 1 person has never had a friend.

  • Thats rite I don't A vet

  • great scene to upload!!!!! even though it was for a second, was real emotional! Doc Holiday is a bad ass!!!!!!! love him!!!!!!

  • What an amazing "friend"

  • wha does Doc mean by saying "it not revenge he's after... "ITS the WRECKINING"???

  • @68joeRuiz

"It's not revenge he's after...it's a reckoning." Pretty much an epic settling of scores, sort of relates to the day of reckoning when God will decree the fate of all men. Here, Ringo wants to slaughter Wyatt and his men for what they did to his "brothers."

  • just like my buddy allen b. moore. God I love him .

  • Look at the guy with the blue shirt look at his chain it got a symbol of the free mason

  • In the words of Rick James, that was Cold Blooded!

  • I love that line - "Hell, I got lots of friends."

    Doc: "I don't".

  • who could possibly dislike ????

  • I don't

  • I love Kilmer's inflection and absolute dead certainty on the word friend in this.

It is "Friend", the capital letter kind, the closer to the heart than any blood kind of Friend.

  • @Parzefail -HOW TRUE

  • eso es ser amigos

  • 1 person doesn't have a friend.

  • Who doesn't like this scene. It is classic.

  • i know turkey creek johnson :]

  • I just noticed that the fellow in the blue shirt is wearing a masonic symbol around his neck. Interesting detail someone put in.

  • scooter, what are you refering to?

  • Val Kilmer isn't in nearly enough movies. He's too good not to be.

  • @jpcscooter he's a bitch to work witht. But i mss him. Lord, i miss him.

  • Hell, I got lots of friends.

    I don't.

That pretty much sums it all up

  • :50 mark - excellent!

  • Maybe Val could get a late late late Oscar and an apology from the Academy Awards for being nieve...............IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @joshua6200 SO agree.

  • THE worst Oscar snub in the history of the Academy Awards!

  • Johnny Ringo didn't like this!

  • I'm a bit worried about the doc's cough

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for giving me this clip to dedicate to my friend on his deathbed..

  • Kilmer didn't get an Academy award for this? No. No... NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • I Don't was such a great movie line. Few statements ever have the impact like that.

  • "Hell, I got lots of friends." "I don't." Great delivery!

  • One person doesn't have any friends

  • Kilmer deserved an academy award for his Doc Holiday.

  • @roaringwaterbay couldn't agree more. The role of his lifetime, but everyone remembers him from Top Gun instead of Tombstone, sad sad sad

  • @usmcgunner58 I have been there through years of Kilmer's performances. Since Top Secret till he Steam Experiment. And hell always be remembered by me as the best Doc Holiday ever! And I've seen a lot of movies concerning Doc Holiday.

  • Come on man ! Give the stolen Oscar from Kilmer right now !

  • %23LOL

  • Hell I aint never even heard of anything like that!!!!! #LOL

  • Is it just me or his one of them wearing the Mason symbol on his neck???

  • @thehulk3010

Yeah, Creek Johnson was apparently a member of a Masonic Lodge. It's not that rare, really.

  • @AmericanFreedom1776 yeah its not rare...but they usually dont show they are masons with a necklace of the symbol on there neck

they are secretive so its just strange to see a mason flashing it...but different times i guess

  • @AmericanFreedom1776

Freemasons where very common around that time in American history. There was also an anti-Masonic political party then as well. They were trying to root Masonic corruption/cronyism out of political office apparently? Freemasons have wielded incredible influence throughout American history. Albert Pike concedes in his tome on Freemasonry that it itself, was based upon the Jewish Cabala, which in turn was based upon Babylonian religions. Ancient,Free and Accepted?

  • I think this meaning holds very true. I dont have very many friends. However I do know that the one or two that I do have will die or kill for me and vice versa. I take friendships very seriously but thats just me. If someone isn't willing to take a loss for you then they aren't your friend plain and simple.

  • I don't either.

  • I know how you feel Doc, I know how you feel.

  • Does anyone have a copy of Wyatt Earp A the actor in it that plays Doc Holiday. Are there any good clips in ti.

  • @dcgj45 The actor that plays Doc Holiday in Wyatt Earp is Denis Quaid. There's not any good clips from that movie. Since it's mostly about Wyatt Earp.

  • down by the creek walkin on water haha

  • "I don't" gets me choked up everytime!!

  • Amazing scene. If any role was worthy of a retrospective oscar it's this one!

  • val kilmer is brilliant as doc holiday

  • the best western ive ever seen,Val Kilmer's portrayal of doc holiday is breath taking

  • The one person who disliked this thought it was opposite day.

  • @InTheEndIWasRight - theres always one mate

  • @Gulgamela I hear ya man

  • @InTheEndIWasRight funny guy... ha!

  • did any one notice the freemason charm on the guys necklace that says i gots lots of friends?????????????? killuminati free your minds!!!!!!!! yes even in the best western ever there trying to brainwash us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ChicanoxParkxJefe OMG, yeah, in fact I rewound the clip just to make sure and lo and behold it was a freemason. I didn't think anybody else picked up on it. Yeah, illuminati sucks.

  • @ChicanoxParkxJefe

i don't think they were trying to brainwash us. i think the symbolism here is that freemasons have a lot of "friends" because they are joined by being deluded (you think for a minute one of them would stand up for a friend?), where as others(holliday), outsiders to this twisted secret society may not have many friends, but at least are not psychopathic freaks.

  • Played to perfection by Kilmer this one ;)!

  • Wow. Buck Taylor, who played Newly on "Gunsmoke" is in this. Pretty cool.

  • all guys wears mustaches, haha

  • @AloisHochwald

correction, all MEN wear mustaches ;)

  • This reminds me of a scene from the wyatt earp movie with kevin costner when Doc and Wyatt meet.

"I believe in friendship...Do you?" Wyatt nods. "Do you have a lot of friends?" Wyatt shakes his head and Doc smirks.

  • thank you for this

  • i honestly didnt know val kilmer was such a great actor until i saw this movie. i cannot believe he did not at the very least get an oscar nomination for this

  • Val made a damn good Jim Morrison too.

  • friends come once in a life time...best 2 stay close 2 your enemies lol

  • "fast is fine, accuracy is final"

  • Thank you so much for posting! This movie is great! And Val is second to none!

  • i don't - me neither

  • Doc you ought to be in bed what the hell are you doing this for?

Doc: Wyatt Earp is my friend

Hell I got lots of friends...

    Doc: I don't...

  • ummm forever he says this is funny right before he dies because of the discussion earlier in the movie where they talk about seeing white light at your feet when you die, then while he is dying he looks down and says the line...

  • @MediumPimp1n he says this is funny because people had always said to him that he would never die on bed with his boots off, accordin to wikipedia. why the fuck would u see white light only at ur feet

  • @jaydeechelsea2 yeah I've read his biography and all through the gunfight and vendetta ride he was basically planning to get killed 'with his boots on' in a gunfight, so the irony was he survived all those fights and the TB still got him...

  • Damn he is so cool.

Why did he have to go and die. Its kinda ironic though, that TB eventually ends up killing him, when he became a gunslnger just so the disease wouldn't be his demise.

Thats why he says, "I'll be damned, this is funny" right before he dies.

Love you Doc Holliday. Val Kilmer did such a good job. He made this movie worth watching,

  • if you see pictures of val kilmer now, he gotten reaaaaaaaaaaaaally fat.

  • so epic,

  • Doc Holiday is so freaking cool

  • kilmer is so epic in this movie. u can see pain in his eyes when he says "i dont"

  • I would so rather be a bad ass like Doc Holliday and only have other bad ass friends than be everybody's buddy.

  • lmao

  • @illduce333 : hear, hear!

i'd also rather be a bad ass with good bad ass friends then yellow-bellied lukewarm ones who run at the first sight of a gun. not that i have any :)

  • This quote makes me think of my best friend I would do anything for her she's the only one I would die for

  • this right here is the true meaning of PALS. Doc is a independent man, and trustes no one. so when Doc has a friend, you best believe that man is honorable. And Doc is a man who will die for someone who is honorable, just like himself.

  • wow @ thebarefootservent......learn something everytime

  • " i don't "

  • Down by the creek....walkin' on water.... Kilmer was born for this role.

  • @wbinwv yes he was lollll

  • @wbinwv yes he was ,the real doc holiday would be proud lollll

  • @wbinwv Kurt Russell was great playing Wyatt Earp :) compared to Kevin Costner :p

  • @Nelson1002002 However the shooting part of Stilwell was better with Costner though I do like Russell's take of Wyatt---showed more of we would think his "soul"

  • @wbinwv

    Wawkin on wawda.

  • my friend and i often just randomly quote lines from this movie. good times.

  • I really love how they play up the importance and value of true friendship in this film. "Why are you doing this?" "Wyatt Earp is my friend." That's all it comes down to.

  • My first thought also ptmcann1

  • Best scene of the movie.

  • great upload..cheers

  • you know why he says i got lost of friends?

Cuz hes a mason, you can see it hangin from his neck. I always thought that was the punchline, IMO.

  • This is at the top of my list of favorite movies and I have literally watched it 100 times. Until you pointed it out though, I had never noticed the square and compass hanging from his neck. Nice catch!

  • @TheBarefootServant Ahhhh.... I Never Even Noticed That Until Now! WOWz! Nice!

  • Val Kilmer's greatest role ever! He was brilliant in this movie!!!

  • Man Michael Rooker always picks great movies in between the crap he gets stuck in.

    JFk, Tombstone, Mississippi Burning, etc.

  • Michael Rooker is under-rated. Did you see Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer? He p;ayed the lead and was excellent.

  • Oh I don't doubt that.

  • One of the greatest films ever made...hands down...

  • Doc, short of being dead, what the Hell are you doing this for anyways?

    Wyatt Earp is my friend!

Hell, I got lots of friends.

    I don't.

  • aaaaahhhh, so sad. lol

  • one of my favorite parts of the film.

  • Ya he Val Kilmer really was prefect in this role. He should have won a Academy Award for his Performance.

  • Agree completely.

  • This is one of my favourite scenes... I love Doc's answer... "I don't", it's beautiful, and pretty worthy of some thought. How many REAL friends does one get in ones lifetime... and what would I do for them? Beautiful, just beautiful!

  • Completely agree-there's a scene in the film 'Wyatt Earp' in which Doc claims that everybody hates him, to which Wyatt replies 'Not everybody that knows you hates you, Doc', and later Doc tells him that he knows it isn't easy being his friend, but he'll be there when he needs him. Both lines reminded me of this scene in the way they show the bond between Earp and Doc. Their relationship always fascinated me, with Earp being a lawman and Doc an outlaw, it was an very interesting friendship

  • I couldn't agree with you more Maxxxx

  • @Maxxxx24 Well said!!

  • @Maxxxx24 I've asked myself that question. My father told me two things, "A man with few friends has many. A man with many friends has none". "When you die, if you have one good friend there, your lucky". I've lived to see these two statements come true. I have always had difficulty keeping friends, I make them fast, lose them fast. I think friendship between men is a difficult thing. The few friends I do have are men much older than myself. Take Care.

  • @wasteland70 So true sir so true

  • @Maxxxx24 simply an amazing moment of dialogue....

  • @Maxxxx24 agreed.

  • @Maxxxx24 you hit it on the head! thats the line....."I don't" it makes you think...great observation.

  • @Maxxxx24 also, at the end Doc on his death bed...says to Wyatt..."There is no normal life Wyatt......there's just life" genuine advice from an educated man to a friend...great stuff!!

  • @lonnfisher right you are! Gotta see this movie again some day! :)

  • @lonnfisher and also....after Wyatt leaves Doc in his bed to die....Doc looks down and notices his bare feet....giggles and says...."thats funny".....he never thought he would of died with out his boots on....this is one of my all time favorite movies!!!

  • @Maxxxx24 its so cool to bad its not like that in the real world so often

  • just watching this scene gives me goosebumps.....man this is a great movie with just the best actors to play the parts...noone could be better than val kilmer to play doc holiday...simply awsome...

  • totally agree. However I have always said Dana Delany was miscast. I cant stand to watch her scenes.

  • down by the creek walking on water.....i love this video

  • greatest quote ever!!....Doc's a loyal sonofagun

  • great movie val kilmer was AMAZING!

  • THEYRE BREAKING THE LAW!

wouldnt want to be caught by a cop like that with just a lil bit a of weed ;)

  • he'd probably smoke up with you.

  • i was talking about when earps brother says that "theyre breakign the law" hes talking about the cowboys carrying guns in town. But theres cops like that, Ive gotten a ticket for 5 over... bullshit son

  • lmao Yeah, Virgil was a hard-ass. If I had to be arrested by anyone, it would be Morgan. Something tells me of all the brothers, he'd be the more 420-friendly :D

  • lol--yep. Morgan would be like "oh, you fellas, smokin that crazy stuff...get in the jail and sober you up...". Virgil would slap your ass around like he was your daddy, then when you woke up, he'd lecture you for a few hours and take a strap to ya. Wyatt would take it out of your hand, kick you in the ass and send you on your way.

  • *reckoning

  • understood all to well

  • the way he looks aimlessly into the distance and says "i don't" is one of best parts of this movie :(

  • I watched it just yesterday!

    Brilliant!

  • how the hell did u youtubers go from doc holiday to nazi' s. can everybody jus enjoy these movies please

  • Thank you - ppl take things way to seriously.

  • Doc Holliday demonstrates the meaning of the word 'pals'. Something that Young Guns played off of.

America is just like this. Partison patriots are just like John 'Doc' Holliday of old.

We will defend our nation until the bitter end because America is the land of our birth. Our 'mother' as it were. And we will defend mama until our guts are spilled and used to grease the tread of enemy tanks.

God Bless Freedom, and God Bless America!

  • That's what People said about Nazi Germany.

  • Well, we also aren't rounding up an entire race and forcing them into concentration camps. You know. Subtle differences like that here and there.

  • Amen!

  • fuck patriotism. It's a round world last time I checked. Time for people to grow up. Doc Holiday is just a person... not America or whatever you were suggesting.

  • @B1llHickslives i agree. patriotism is the scariest weapon a govt can have b/c it can easily lead to ((gosh what is that word when you think your country is superior?? gaah))

  • @blckbooty Nationalism?

  • @Ruskiedann no its a more precise word than that... gaaah hold on lemme think....got it! xenophobia: an unreasonable fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers. so patriotism/nationalism (which is the same thing) can easily lead to thinking your country is superior to 'foreigners' which is a scary weapon indeed.

  • its a recking

  • it's the reckoning...

  • "It's the RECKONING".

  • same is said for myself.

  • iconic performance

  • That was the hardest scene ever. This is the only scene i really remember in life. "I Don't"

  • Every line spoken in this movie is quoteable, but the Doc sets the curve on badass. who was the writer of tombstone?

  • Kevin Jarre.

  • fucking sick.. still the best western movie of all time hands down

  • second good bad and ugly is my top

  • I like Lonesome Dove.

  • Lonesome Dove is the best. An epic

  • Kilmer is still the best playing Doc Holliday.

  • Damn near cried at that scene.

  • Always do!

  • Maybe doc would have more friends if he stopped being a criminal, lol.

  • i like him vs the music lover quote i have to guns one for both of u unquote

  • thats my dad i mean he looks like i think i am related to him doc holiday is the shit
