  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • "Popsicle"

Don't believe me? Google the lyrics

  • Great job on the video and awesome song. Greetings from Finland. :)

  • make a full version !!! this is Awesome !

  • Great video :)

  • Anyone hear the sample from this: Fred Wesley & The Horny Horns - Four Play

  • hop in!

  • The end of this song is the fucking detonation to the bomb of my mind... the hood internet mashed this song with the cataracts and the pack... check it out. It's quality.

  • When it finally kicks in at the end, I feel real terror. Its like the world crashing down. I find there is a bit of insanity to almost all BOC stuff.

  • I listen to this everytime i drive down A1A, which is a highway RIGHT NEXT to the beach. About 7 or 8 P.M., when the sun is setting, it is such a fantastic view , especially when BoC is playing nonstop in the car. I LOVE IT.

  • I think of muppets riding bikes when I hear this. I can't help it.

  • Boards of Canada has made the only songs that clear my mind.

  • reminds me a bit of justin bieber, dont know why.

  • @fliptrick540 Nah, that was just your reflection. Easy mistake so don't feel bad about it or anything.

  • I love this so much. The song and the video. It brings up a certain emotion that I can't describe... almost all BoC's songs do. It's almost like a sad nostalgia of an experience that I haven't actually experienced. Can't describe it. By the way, the parts where everything is blue and red are spot on to LSD visuals that I have every time I do it. Beautiful work.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • @GolliwoggMusic

you approve of a lot of music XD

  • Cool video!!

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

  • the way the seagulls are in time is just so awesome

  • The original song is far longer than this, just in case someone thinks the song is 2 minutes long (like this animation is)

  • For those of you that don't live in Australia and haven't heard any Spoonbill, do it.

Not quite as chilled as this, but oh so trippy!

  • @hardstyledrifta thank you so fucking much

  • Whoa. This is my YouTube account picture.

    1943 ftw

  • this is the life

  • Bicycling in Botswana..

  • happy cycling with mr. hoffman

  • 1:48 ..

  • This Video is even better than Salvador Dali's paintings...

  • this is exactly how i feel when i go for a bike ride..........you know.......made out of ether, and not all there

  • these are just my emotions, now!!!!!!!! exactly

  • I cannot stop listening this song. omg, Im dependent to it :O

  • I can hear Ligeti in the background.

  • My drug now is BOC

  • My BoC favourite music. And that's something really really hard fuckin' special

  • Great video! I love how you synced the sounds to the music so well. great that you still had the awesome ending, even when shortened

  • Wow.. Its like...its like I'm on drugs when listenning this song... amazing :D

  • great vid!

  • I spot Chemical Brothers' Rock Guitar video influence :) Great video and music.

  • if i listen BoC i get this inner peace that totally calms me down and makes me feel happy about whati have achieved

    ty for the upload

    plur

  • ahh so a new building one cycle in the song, the bump in the floor makes the drums and the power lines equals the electronic instruments :-) you even kept the bird in mind

quite mathematical concept but very good and (though it may sound like a contradiction) still very artistic which can be said equally about BoC!

Absolutely love the part with the blinking bird! and of course 1:48! love the water to because it looks realistic and unreal at the same time.

    Keep up the good work!

  • This is amazing. The modeling and animation and obvious passion for the music you have is absolutely awesome. Please keep doing this kind of thing.

  • Brilliant video. Deserves more views!

  • Really cool video, man.

  • Amazing. Really trips me out.

Also liking experimental trip hop and electronica acts like Amon Tobin, Massive Attack, Four Tet, Tricky, Bonobo, DJ Shadow,Unkle, DJ Krush, Allflaws

  • @kassylion no Aphex Twin?

  • @kassylion you have exactly the same music taste as me?

  • brilliant work

  • This is what i do when im walking around or traveling i try and sync Boards of canada with the movement of life and things around me. perfect video 10/10 for you m8

  • How is this even possible? The music and the video meshed perfectly together. 10/10

  • cool as fuck!

  • not fixed gear? i am shocked

    hipsters disaprove

  • this art of music is a part of my life and dreams...if the existenz would have a titel musc it would be this music.

  • You lot don't half talk a load of shite! This is music anyone can enjoy regardless of their age or social status! Get a life! I happen to like it as well as jazz, thrash metal, techno ect and I don't fit into any subculture!!

  • by the way the way, I'm rich, I don't do drugs that much unless it's legal drugs, and this is my favorite kind of music.

saying this type of music is for low classes is like saying classical is for low classes. (Doesn't make any sense.)

  • ah there is not much music around that I cant find words for, but this is one of them.

  • too cool. the video too.

  • Fucking majestic (and great video), only wish it went on longer like the album version,

  • A video creation worthy of BoC. Well done.

  • I've been on drugs while listening to BoC and to be honest it sounds even better when i'm sober.

  • @LoLnoob43 Dunno if that's true but definitely still great.

  • @LoLnoob43 Then you're doing it wrong

  • @TRBNGR666 pointless and pretentious thing to say for a song that is basically instrumental. The other way around can also be true. Its all about getting it right, it doesn't matter how you do it, as long as it sounds interesting.

  • Wow! Cool video!

  • good music makes lyrics so fucking trivial

  • real nice animation and rendering, what software(s) were used?

  • just watched this while high, and my brain had an orgasm.

  • One of the greatest piece I ever watched!

  • For me, the music of Boards of Canada, is more than music. I think, you have to listen a long time to it before you recognize what this music is making with yourself and your feelings and when you recognize it, it is just absolutely mind-blowing!

  • oh this is about that guy who invented acid.

  • I wish I could say I made this video on my own... Congratulations, nice creation

  • Ah, i do cycling every-day with mostly BoC & other ambient bands in earphones :)

Man, this little clip does have what it makes you experience. And here, in Indian chaotic dense streets with so many people, cars, rush..just watching shades of life with this background music is beautifully cinematic.

  • This beat is completely crippling!! I heard it on my mp3 for the first time, and I had to stop what I was doing (I think I was walking or cooking bacon or something). And then the question remains: how did they get the seagull to sing for them?? hehehehehe...

  • Danke Albert Hofmann......mit dem Fahrrad nach Hause

  • wouldn't be biking here with all those speed bumps... amiright????? that's just me though

  • other version better

  • Did you make the whole video ??

  • Granted I didn't read all the comments, but you were no doubt inspired by Chemical Brothers' video for Star Guitar.

  • Your production fits really well with the song. Good work!

  • Boards Of Canada makes me think of us humans. What are we? What is our purpose as a species. Also makes me think of the universe, how big it is, what mysteries are hidden. From here I realize how small and helpless we are

  • Phenomenal animation, you have talent.

  • Excellent work, man. Keep it up. (PS: The 70's and early 80's were fun, but no era or decade is better than any other- excluding the Cheney years)

  • I love that chord change at the end. =)

  • *Whilst watching a TV show about a rapist on ITV with my mum*

"Wow, that man is really messed up isn't he Joe?"

"Yeah, yeah he is.. HOLY SHIT IS THAT BOARDS OF CANADA?!"

    :D

  • @cassiusitsover epic :)

  • Music videos are SOOO bad these. It's just people singing their song and being filmed at a party doing it. Retarded.

  • what was used to make the vid by the way...

  • Um, good video, but something should be mentioned about Chemical Brothers, "Star Guitar". Find that video right here on youtube. Visual symmetry and rhythm relating to music loops done there first. Again, good video, but I felt someone should hail the originals. :)

  • SO I HERD U LIEK MUDKIPZ

  • MUDKIP

  • This video fills me with smiles..!

    Congrats.!

  • I enjoy ambient and experimental music.

It's not about the drugs, but about the emotion.

Why do people get the impression that you HAVE to be on drugs listening to this?

  • woah

  • this is one of my favourite video's along with the music and one of the catalysts that made me start creating my own stuff.you can't beat a bit of BOC to inspire you and chill you out at the same time :-)

  • OMG this shit is awesome when you're all drunk!

  • Amazing video!

  • mudkip

  • Juste très bien!

  • To me, when i first started listening to this stuff, it seemed that this was what "hippies" and "druggies" listened to, but no disrespect to them, because its actually a question of understanding and feeling this music, which when you do, you will not, and CANNOT escape from.

  • @fizikal2008 Glad you got it. I havent touched drugs for years , who needs to with beautiful music like this.

  • @fizikal2008 euhm first of all hippies are the nicest people I know, you could learn from those people jerk. Second of all, many of the best music is drug inspired? Feeling better as other people is just so annoying, stop judging everyone its annoying!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lviseghe while i agree with you, im quite sure he said "no disrespect to them". can you imagine the earth if everybody ate shrooms at the same time?

  • @fizikal2008 who in their right mind would want to escape from it once they find it?

  • @fizikal2008 correction, hippies and druggies listen to older music like reggae, most of the genres Boards Of Canada plays for is slow electronic, which would be more what chavs would enjoy.

  • @fizikal2008 really? I never seen a single hippie or druggie listen to this kind of genre of music.

this is not 60's rock, metal, disco or reggae

it's electronic, fusion and ambient, it has nothing to do with hippies or druggies. You must be thinking of another kind of group. Because hippies and druggies sure don't listen to this.

  • @fizikal2008

Hardly. You should listen to "Music is Math" or "Heard from the Telegraph Lines". They sound nothing like what you're talking 'bout.

  • Totally agree with ALIEN PLANT LIFE.............

  • @AlienPlantLife, the creativity lies within us..not the industry ;)

  • i favourited this months ago - still love watching it its great! nice work!

  • Quality Music!

  • WOW! You did this yourself. Very Cool!

  • nice!!!

  • hahah very nice work!

  • Fantastic!

  • Amazingly well done video!!

  • great film, very clever and inventive vidio visual sequencing,

  • The drum kick reminds me of "House of Cards" by radiohead.

  • those guy´s made it ??? tsss cutte art..

  • That was exceptional! Kudos, framewall!! :)

  • 100% happy Cycling...........loooooooooovely video!!

  • awesome!!!!! one of my fav BOC tracks....and i show this video to my friends all the time!

  • my favorite boards song. love love love the transition at 1:50

  • @swebersf me too, it's the best part !!

  • Always loved this song. It never ever gets old, and I think it never will. Can't stop nodding when this starts.

Oh and, anyone else hear what sounds the choir "singing" when the monolith is shown in 2001: A Space Odyssey? watch?v=ML1OZCHixR0 about 4:10 in... damn BoC and their mind fuck songs!

  • i wonder where he's going?

  • another masterpeace from boc

  • Reminds me of an acid trip I had

  • how could anyone put a thumbs down? the video is great., loved it at .34 when the powerlines come in.

  • If you like this music check out my channel !!

You can thank me later ; ]

  • incredible fantasy! I always imagine that people who make so nice stuff like this that they must have been stoned :D ,really nice

  • I want to visit that magical land

  • pretty amazing video!!

  • i like how all the overhead cables and stuff are in time with the beat, took me two watches to realise

  • eerie nostalgic beautiful

  • This is wonderful stuff mate... !

  • this is incredible. i absolutely love it. you are really really really awesome and i thank you.

  • John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  • mudkip?

  • point, line and plane..life is about change..

  • Very nice video Frameman .

You used Blender ? ( the software )

  • This is awesome :).

Anyone know some similar music bands ( besides Global Communication ) .

  • @hares295 four tet is great too.

  • It's also possible to make out the sound of a man either chanting or whistling. It's very faint, and is simultaneous with the sound of the seagulls/birds chirping. It took me a while to hear it at first but now I can never not hear it.

  • The gibberish at the end of "Happy Cycling" is a backmasked conversation with one of the lyricists of the Electric Light Orchestra... On the subject of backmasking in various ELO songs. So you have to listen to the song backwards to hear the backmasked message about backmasking.

    Strangely brilliant.

  • whoever made this video deserves some type of award!!!! or at least a hug......... this is great

  • *instrumental*

    mudkip

    *instrumental*

    mudkip

    etc....

  • very nice work!!!!

  • what a great , very interesting song

  • awesome!!

  • Wish this was as long as the song.

  • hey frame dude. this is really good

  • the version i have downloaded from limewire is diff than this

  • nice job! :)

  • nice bike.

  • Notice how these fan based videos are much better than anything "the industry" can come up with?

  • @AlienPlantLife Tis good and different, though the basic idea obviously from Chemical Bro's - Star Guitar

  • @AlienPlantLife "The industry" must let its offspring eat it. It's the only natural way.

  • @AlienPlantLife That is so fucking true....

  • I totally agree.

And fuck John 3:16. No disrespect, but BoC is heaven on earth for me.

  • @AlienPlantLife Too right!

  • @AlienPlantLife

    hell yeah

  • @AlienPlantLife yes, how could you not notice?

  • @AlienPlantLife you are right, unless you are counting WARP as part of the industry.

  • @AlienPlantLife not really, seeing as this is obviously an homage to Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar

  • @nicjab Good point. I just wish it was the norm instead of the exception. There are good videos, it just seems that every year, the more memorable ones are fewer and far between. Hopefully that will change.

  • @AlienPlantLife

sometimes, yes, is the art degree that matters and not the skills when you're in the industry.

  • @AlienPlantLife hehe! we all know that mainstream is full o shit!

  • Mudkip. *music* Mudkip.

  • this should have 123123123124124124124124124142² views

  • @geeekzor

dont be stupid be glad boc isnt as popular last thing we need is boc to be mainstream and beruined for us true fans

    gtfo

  • Yeah, that would be fucking horrible.

My god I don't even want to think about Boards of canada changing their style.

  • lol easy dude

  • @EclipseTyrant

what does it matter if they're mainstream or not?

  • @nucleararab because the more "popular" it gets, the more fake fans exist. The people who have been listening to boc for years without anyone telling them to are real fans. Most people that listen to mainstream pop music only listen to it because it's simple and easy to understand and because it's the popular thing to listen to. The music of boc will never be considered mainstream. I can guarantee you that. It's not music you can easily spoon feed to people. Either you get it or you don't.
