What a tool; Nelson's always been a little "off" as far as I'm concerned; the last decent movie he was in was "Silkwood" (1983). Strange thing, but most of the conservative movie stars make really shitty movies. "Hudson Hawk", "Bonfire of the Vanities": Bruce Willis. "Against All Odds", "Citizen Cohn": James Woods. Just about any Sylvester Stallone movie you can name, with the exceptions of the original "Rocky" and "Paradise Alley", and almost anything with Gary Sinese in it.

Craig makes sense. He said that we should be responsible in spending the taxpayers money. Also stated that education is important. What he is talking about is when the Governor of California said that to ballance the budget, public services will have to be cut (firefighters, police, teachers, etc.). Frivilous expendatures on saving some little fish that are not even endangered (man is more powerful than nature) to the detrement of mankind are the kind of things that should be cut, FIRST.

I don't know if it came from Beck or someone else, but an awful lot of Conservatives are falling in love with the idea of calling our nation a "Republic".
One of my friends, when we were arguing about Obama and I said that this is a Democracy, and the people chose him, stated "We're not a democracy, we're a Republic!" I had to actually direct him to Wikipedia so he could see what a "Republic" and a "Democracy" were, so he'd realize it's not an either-or scenario. Stupidity is contagious.
