hey, noob question - how do you combo FULL Ultra on airbone opponent ( around 1:57 ). I use jump in H Kick - Target Combo - Light SRK - EX FC - Fwd Dash - Ultra, but Ken always do just the second part. What's the key to connect full ultra? Counter? Number of hits before ultra? Thx...

@SkullzGuy15 I think its like a way to confuse an opponent after a throw since he will think that ken is on a different side after the spin kick but when the opponent rises ken is actually behind him.. its like a cross up thing.. :D

@ricksmasher press de focus attack button and holding it walk forward o backward so when you cut up the movement in the middle of the move the character will shine and youll know youve cancelled

@naruto50280 I've tried that too. But don't you have to do EX shoryuken to knock em up into the air? I've tried fadc heavy shoryuken but it doesn't knock em up into the air. Unless u mean just to fadc heavy shoryuken and then do his ultra without knocking them up in the air? I haven't tried that yet but i was trying to get that combo down but ken never does the full shinryuken combo while they are falling. He only does the uppercut which does like 7 or 8 hits, not the full 17 hit ultra.

damn too bad some of these combos cant be done in a real match. like at 1:46 after u fadc u need a full super bar to cancel it into a super and the fadc uses a bar so its impossible. :/
@shinmasterx If u could clearly see, he doesn't do an EX focus cancel at 1:46. He linked the shoryuken with his super which you can do. As far as i can tell, all of the combos do work. I think that it's just pretty damn hard to execute in a real fight.
The only problem I find with Ken is alot of his combos leave him wide open after execution :( BUT he is still the greatest I dont care what anyone says if you dont like it have a Flaming Shinryuken to the chin :)
@TheHaloChief117 ken has a variaty of different kicks, while ryu has different punches. ken has a weaker and slower fire ball, his tatsu combos and doesnt knockdown, he has a stronger and fire shoryuken, he can karathrow, he has different super/ultras, different walk speeds etc. only someone who looks at aesthetics would say that they are barely any different. but they are whole two different chars.
try kens target combo ( great damage ) : m punch [ then quickly press ] h punch then go for a fierce shoryuken.or try doing a quick combo then do a tetsumaki and a fierce shoryuken ( but use this one only if the enemy is free for attack coz this combo is what all players would expect . trust me )
at 1:54 Shoryuken(ex or HP?) ex cancel dash then ultra. How did you manage that? When i get to the ultra part, a shinryuken comoes out instead of the full ultra.
@sprigs bcz it was a counter hit, if ur shoryuken was a counterhit and u ancel it into ultra, ur ultra will be a scene. u can turn counter hit on or off in training options. hope this helped =)
the truth is ken is better .... hes got a better ace attack : dragon uppercut or dragon punch or whatever you guys call it than ryu being just more powerful than ken in the means of using the hadoken attack or hadouken or whatever .....
When I started playing SSFIV, I made the mistake of playing Ken defensively and lost my first 10 matches, then a friend showed me the in your face offensive power of Ken. Ken is truely the most dangerous character, especially when he has you cornered, because he does not stop. Well, ok, Zangief and Blanka still might be the most dangerous, lol! Anyway, Ken is at least Tier-B.

I find that Ryu is a more safe character butI play well with both characters. Which character would you recommend for me? do you have to be really good to play ken without having huge risks? In your case I would say try out a gamepad or arcade stick since you feel that the keyboard doesn't suit you. I've used a stick for a long time now, but I started on pad before getting into the competitive scene. It's all a matter of preference and comfort really.

i like street fighter 4 cuz the busting combos is easier and you dont have to go to training and work on your combos like in street fighter 3rd strike. still love that game though best street fighta game
They really need to get rid of a lot of that auto-combo crap out of the street fighter games. The "specials" aren't really that special considering its all auto garbage. Only 25% of the combos in this game are manual. That's what I hate about SF.
@KuroiHavik I've considered doing one for Super, but Ken hasn't really changed much, and his second ultra is not as useful in combos. As for other characters... we may see something soon :D
the reason ken is considered "low-tier" or "mid-low" tier is if you look at these combos and take into consideration the skill level of a good player, they are extremely difficult compared to other characters to execute.
only a handful of these combos, the simpler ones for the most part are even executable in a competitive match against a skilled player, nearly all of those combos that start with an air assault will be squashed by anyone half decent,
i was wondering what is that kara throw, and the benifits of this move. am thinking its the hell wheel as you can get your opponent in the corner, which is always a good thing lol
I still refuse to believe ken is low tier, just because he can't rely on one move like most of the other characters that people use that are considered high tier. @dread7154 yer rite about kenn masterz. ryu has better defense and is stronger butt ...ken is faster and way more explosive. you have to understand that this game is produced by japanese {ryu is the flaggshipp character} they wanted to make sure his american counter part is good but inferior. hence the weak outfits for ken{ i have grown to love them but used to hate} thats why they "tier" him as weak. but that dont mean nuttin. i smash ryu's all day and i love it. i am a master ken. since 1992!

i like street fighter 4 cuz the busting combos is easier and you dont have to go to training and work on your combos like in street fighter 3rd strike. still love that game though best street fighta game

They really need to get rid of a lot of that auto-combo crap out of the street fighter games. The "specials" aren't really that special considering its all auto garbage. Only 25% of the combos in this game are manual. That's what I hate about SF.

@KuroiHavik I've considered doing one for Super, but Ken hasn't really changed much, and his second ultra is not as useful in combos. As for other characters... we may see something soon :D

the reason ken is considered "low-tier" or "mid-low" tier is if you look at these combos and take into consideration the skill level of a good player, they are extremely difficult compared to other characters to execute.
only a handful of these combos, the simpler ones for the most part are even executable in a competitive match against a skilled player, nearly all of those combos that start with an air assault will be squashed by anyone half decent,

I still refuse to believe ken is low tier, just because he can't rely on one move like most of the other characters that people use that are considered high tier. I'm an akuma player but at this point I'm practically maining vega (claw), but now I'm working on ken to prove my friend wrong about his favorite character

@dread7154 Hmm.. Ken is actually mid-tier, he's a pretty balanced and good overall character, good damage combos and kara throw.

@dread7154 yer rite about kenn masterz. ryu has better defense and is stronger butt ...ken is faster and way more explosive. you have to understand that this game is produced by japanese {ryu is the flaggshipp character} they wanted to make sure his american counter part is good but inferior. hence the weak outfits for ken{ i have grown to love them but used to hate} thats why they "tier" him as weak. but that dont mean nuttin. i smash ryu's all day and i love it. i am a master ken. since 1992!
