Your body is actually following your skis, so you have no counter between the upper body and legs. When you learn that you have to move your upper body to the other side (counter), you will realize that is how the body looks and remains calm.
This is a good drill for those of us who have hyperactive upper bodies. I used this drill recently on a 3 day trip and by the third day i was seeing major improvements in my form on the steeps. All of your videos are excellent. Thanks
I don't think you do look calm. I think your upper body looks stiff and unnatural. I've seen plenty of good skiers, and, although I appreciate the smaller amount of body movement involved in a short turn, I don't think it should look like it's made of wood (or other appropriately stiff material.)
@MrMadheadmike My body is calm and I do admit it does look a bit stiff I normally poll plant and I'm really trying hard not to.skiing for demo sometimes does make you look a bit wooden I will try harder next time you have a good winter.
@elatemedia Fair enough, I appreciate that an aspect of it is how it looks to the people you're trying to teach.
Despite the fact that I've already learnt all that you teach (of course I'm still improving,) I have watched all of your videos, and must say that I think some of the explanations you have are excellent. I especially appreciated the description of the change of the angle of your legs/body to the slope as your speed increases.

@skiwhh I think this channel has a fair amount of useful advice; having said that, it's not quite PMTS. I only wish the camps came to Japan.
