  • hows the temperament on the goshawks?

  • @mvinci145 This bird seemed just as cool as everything that flies out here. We have all sorts of birds that fly out here, even a golden eagle. None of these guys seem to have any problems. I fly the planes, and these guys fly the birds. We actually fly at the same spot and the birds are accustomed to it, even nitro planes.

  • @MrOOSTUOO thanks they are known to be hard to handle birds of prey. Im getting my apprenticeship this year and have been reading up on all falcons, hawks. I was hoping to get a hands on view. Thank you very much

  • Our pilot here (John) is the sponsor for Dave (on the video hunting with a redtail hawk). These folks have a veteran sponsor when they start getting into falconry. It is a TON of work to maintain these birds, keep them healthy, at the right weight to hunt, and just to get them to do what they do. Imagine your maiden flight with one of these..hoping it does not just fly away...that's some stress on these pilots. They got my respect. Come on, it's hunting with a bird.

  • Translation of crows: Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mi- mine! Mine!!!

  • @135twilight Yep. I originally had some other choice words for what those birds were saying, but I edited...lol It was comical (as you know)

  • Very Interesting!

    Thanks Stu!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @poppopscarvinshop Thanks Pops

  • Wicked!

  • @4mods I know. I've been hunting, but never like this. This bird was pretty amazing. I'm still impressed with the last vid with the one caught in the wild with only three weeks training.
