geardupson, the 3.3 is a direct fit since it has the small block bolt pattern like the standard NTC3 engine does. you would need to get the correct exhaust system for a rear exhaust engine and you're set to go. good luck man.

How did you get the TRX 3.3 motor to fit? I have a NTC3 as well but my .15 has littl compression so there for i need a new motor.. I happen to have a new Traxxas 3.3 laying around from my T-maxx and Revo habbits.. haha.. Please le me know what i need to do to get this motor installed. Thanks..

I have seen the question asked a couple of times on your videos, but did not find the answer. I have an NTC3 RTR and I would like to upgrade the rear tires. What adapters did you use to get those tires installed? Thanks for the information, it looks like these tires really improve the handling of the car.

@jerryt1969 I'm sorry I told you carpet adapters but it's the pan car adapters and pan car tires because you can't use carpet tires on nitro cars so remember pan car adapters

I read several of your posts here and in R/C Tech Forums. I notice you mention "special 1/8 wheel adapters, are these something you are making or are they something that can be purchased?

Also what exhaust are you using for the big block?

I would really appreciate some info because you seem to be the only one on the web doing anything like this mod to the NTC3

I have a regular OFNA 3 shoe clutch system on the car with the Fusion big block muffler and XTM header. It fit well with a few massaged parts though.

what type of differential gears did you use if you dont mind me asking... I have a first gen tc3 and wanted to put something like a 2.5or 3.3 but the guy at my local hobby shop said it would just tear up the trans... of course i'm still gonna do it any information would be greatly appreciated.

Get a complete diff case and differential from the OFNA LD3 car. It uses steel gears and that is what I did. NEVER broke another set of gears plus the diff case from the LD3 bolts right on the NTC3 chassis without mods.

wow that thing is fast i got a ntc3 wit a 18tz and a 54 21 48 27 gearing that shit rocks but the problem i have is that it shifts to early is yours a 2 speed or a 1

Mine is a 2 speed as well and with that same gearing as yours. You have to tighten the 2nd gear clutch hub down more. If the springs are too weak, then you have to replace them with stronger springs to make it shift later.
