No. That would make little difference with this engine. Even if you could pedal hard enough to go faster, you would experience valve float and loose the assist power from the engine. Two-stroke engines would work more like that because they have no valves and a higher redline.
cool! much quieter than the 2 cycle. I think the future of bicycle engines is the sound must be quiet so the rider can hear cars ect. also better fuel economy and cleaner burn. need a nice high quality twin with dohc and 4 v hemi head. or tiny turbo diesel!
So why did we need to see the fuel up at the start???? The woods at the middle??? Just show us your cob job bike and save us the all the other cheezy stuff.
Oh wow...where was this filmed at? At about 2:35 onwards, it looks just like the area near where my mom lives! =)

I love these things! Great vid, Are you useing the standard gear? (#13 I think)
Hector49er 2 years ago

Unless you fall off. 8)) lol
On level ground it funs 27 to 30 mph.
goldeneaglebikengine 2 years ago
thats pretty good, do you think you could possibly get faster with a bike with more gears?

nice, been looking for one. Need something simple, may ride 2 or 3 days a week tops. 30 miles a week.

These are simple and consistantly trustworthy. I have been very happy with the investment. And very happy with the enjoyment.

what is the tube thing on the muffler?
i have a scooter with the same motor but it doesn't have that.

That is a small piece BikeEngines. com put on the engine. It cuts down on more decibels of sound keeping the motor quieter.

No problemo. Some wanted to see the modified gas tank. Yellow plug on the right is opened to let air out of the tank so it will fill up much easier.
goldeneaglebikengine 3 years ago
stupid question, is this a two stroke or a four stroke because i have a two stroke that gets only 80 mpg
sillygrouse 3 years ago
Four stroke. Just pull up to pump, fill'er up, and your on your way. You can learn more about the engine on the blog.
