The settings, the characters, even the brief interjections of poetry, all within a timeframe of thousands of years more than The Hobbit or the trilogy. It truly is a beautiful world, built solely for the reader.

@trevorfurst I recently heard about The Hobbit trailer being released! I haven't looked at it, but I may have to go see that, even though I know movies never do books justice. it looks like I'm going to have to wait longer than I thought to get the Kindler, but the friend getting it for me has all of Tolkien's books and she will put them on there for me =] I look forward to reading them; I love fantasy adventure and I can only imagine how wonderful they will be.

@rocketshipresort Yeah, his 3 pre-popular albums were better. I'm not the type who dismisses music that is popular (in fact I actually discovered Owl City after he'd been popular for awhile)....

but I truly think his older songs are much better. More original too, especially in the lyrics. With the newer songs, I feel like he's actively trying to cater to 14-year-old girls/trying to recreate "Fireflies"....

i love how when you first listen to some of his lyrics, you're like "huh? that makes no sense." but when you think about it, it makes more sense than what half of what other artists out there sing about, because he's just a normal person like you and me, he's not fake or singing about just whatever his manager thinks is good. these lyrics are coming from his heart and he means every word he says, you can tell.
