Lovely video. Commentary was great, i think this video shows great friendship. Whenever my mate hits a bad shot i just laugh in his face and shout GOOD JOB. I'm sure your friend is not the most athletic person but I just can't comprehend how someone can be so unaware of the mechanics of a golf swing. I't doesn't take a genius to see how tour players set up to hit the golf ball and then at least attempt to copy it. I'm not even talking about the swing just the set up. Well at least he;s having fun which is the name of the game for most people. I'm sure he's gotten a lot better if he has a passion for the game.

he is a little hunched at his set up but his take back is fine, he just needs to stop dipping and moving his hips laterally toward the target (rotate them instead), thats whats causing him to hit fat shots like the one at 1:35. if he stops that and rotates through ball he will take divots after he hits the ball (like you are meant to) and his game will improve very rapidly

tell him to keep his feet planted thourght the whole swing. if he does this he will be an amazing golfer. his problem is that hes diping down on the down swing making his mind what to compensate for it then makeing him chunk the ball. a good goal is to have a divot in front of the ball. i hope this helps

Great video....there's something to admire about someone who plays GOLF because of a passion for the game. I used to be pretty good in my teens...when I had unlimited free time to tune my swing. A few tips:

-Try a more vert swing plane...you are swinging around your body too much.

-Practice drill swing with your feet together... transfer your weight to your left side, but you are finishing with your weight on your right foot.

-Your head is bobbing up and down...Try to maintain your heads' position as though it were "locked" in space throughout the entire swing.

-Your right shoulder should go down, under, and thru...as though you are "chasing" the ball down the fairway.

You're hitting too much down on the ball and your head moves to much. Also the key is your BALANCE. Watch your balance after impact. Try the one legged drill and swing at least 20 times. If you can go more, great. Your keypoint to work on is your balance after impact.
