@tabotabojayar It was a gradual transition. I noticed I picked downwards (as I do now) for rhythm stuff, but angled it back (as it is here) for quick alternate picked passages. It slowly began to feel more comfortable for everything, and now I find myself going back to this (old) technique more and more for cleaner rhythms. Weird roll-reversal, for sure.

man young guns now rule mothafaker, you had add some of the riff and lead to this shit and it work real well.. fuk all you young kids, make this old-g jealouse....
until now, ive never noticed that i was playing the song so much harder that i had to be (the appegios). ive tried like 8 diffrent ways to play them instead of doing it the right way...
i watched that too and i think that is pauls brilliant work with a delay petal cause his right fingers dont move at all but im sure if he really wanted to he could.
when chuck noris first played the guitar, it was an acoustic..five seconds later, the electric guitar was invented because chuck was too metal for the acoustic.
Um about you working at griffiths, lol how much would it cost for me to get my Ibanez RG 570's tremlo repaired (some of the saddle screws are stripped since i got it used and i cant change my strings) and a new set of pick ups (Seymour Duncan Blackout set and and EMG single coil)?
Just give Scott or Joe (the tech) a call after Christmas, he's actually back on the 29th of December. 1-709-579-3114. You can get them to factor it all together and definitely get a killer price! EMG pickup installations are generally easy as pie (not sure about the Blackouts) and the saddle work seems pretty straight-forward.
You are a great musician. you know why? Amateurs NEVER NEVER look ahead. You are constantly looking ahead to make the (shapes) changes. Reason you never played the an obvious wrong note.
I wish every musician would do that, so my ears wont bleed when i listen o them.
Im gonna try the intro of this song.
Whats your pod setting? i have the 2.0 and i would like to get a similar sound. Thanks
hmm...the first part of the arpeggio thing isnt the same as on Second Heat, he does a sweep thing, but nowadays he does the string skipping arpeggio you did in this video
I recorded another guitar track. I have an MP3 cover of the first half of this song, so I went in and just muted all of the main guitar tracks, and played them in the video.
@KrakenKiller it's Scarified by Racer X, Paul Gilberts band.

Well, you've heard enough Chuck Norris jokes, here's a Chris Feener joke:
Chris Feener once called his cover "sloppy"; the next second, the definition of "sloppy" was changed to 'outlandishly accurate and amazing'...
