Monkeys can be very dangerous pets, not to mention, they can carry very deadly diseases like herpes b. What's worrisome are the people who purchase them often don't know where the monkey came from, and like humans, the first few months/years of life have a lot to do with their personality. It's a lifetime commitment and our culture simply doesn't put much importance in lifetime commitments.

It is not perfectly fine to keep monkeys as pets. It's stupid. They are wild animals, and once they become adults (not babies, as in all these videos), they will become aggressive, destructive, and unmanageable. That's why there are tons of adult primates that get resold over and over. It's not about whether you love them or have good intentions--you could love a tiger or polar bear cub, but it's going to grow up to be a wild animal.

They are cute, but they look like a handful. I had a Ferret once and that was enough for me. Cute is cute, but you have to be a parent to them also. OK People, you know yall really make me sick! I am really sick of yall talking shit! There is nothing wrong with having a monkey! I have three monkeys and there is nothing wrong with it.This gets old when people say nasty things about us, and yet YOU must love watching Tiffs monks, because YOU are here watching them. THIS IS NOT A BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a wild animal! If you want a baby, have one. This poor creature! You don't just capture an animal to keep in a crib because it's cute. This baby needs to be with her REAL MOTHER. I'm sorry I'm not saying you are mean to her or don't love her with all your heart but man this makes me angry!!!!

OK if this is making you soooooooooo angry, then WHY are you on youtube looking up videos of people with pet monkeys? If it makes you so angry then DONT WATCH IT. Pretty simple!! And saying she wants her "real" mother is so funny. Do you think ever puppy in the world misses its birth mother? Is no different! Every animal that is going to be a PET is taking from its birth mother!

Nice attitude! Whenever there is injustice going on in the world I'll just let it go on and ignore it and live in a bubble. I don't agree with having ANY animal as a pet= it's a selfish human need. Cats/Dogs were bred 1000's of yrs ago FOR us to have as pets, since there are so many now because of our incompetence We do need to take care of them because they are domesticated and cannot survive on their own I DO NOT agree with any type of breeding or live capture- including cats and dogs okay?

or my 73 year old grandmother? I talk in proper sentences and discuss with facts and not emotion. I don't just say "omg get a life I Love my monkey blah!" Sell them? No give them to a primate rehabilitation facility like Monkey world so they can have a life with other monkeys. Expecting monkeys to take care of old people IS selfish that's not their job. Moron
