@larryhelbig I know..... I bought the video in a stack of DVDs fm a Movie Gallery in March that was going out of business. I just watched it few days ago and I had the very same reaction. My comment is below. You should see the movie. This music is much longer in last 10 minutes of movie and goes on further as credits role with another singer, Sasha Lazard coming in on the singing. Rent it on Netflix if convenient ( when I retired recently, co-workers gave me a DVD player and 6 mon free)

I don't think Tarja is the best soprano in the world, but I really love her, and she has the most beautiful tone to her voice. She has improved tenfold since her departure from Nightwish. The loss of Keedie's contract was just silly. EMI paid out a huge amount for her deal, but when it came to publicity and promotion, they didn't bother. The mind boggles. If she got the promotion she deserved she may have succeeded. Still, she is still trying, and best of luck to her.

This woman has a beautiful and passionate voice - this is the first time I've heard her. However, sometimes her higher notes sometimes seem to get a little distorted and you can't make out the words. For my ear they sound a little shriekish at times. But still, a passionate and heartfelt rendition of this beautiful song.

Keedie's voice is hauntingly beautiful and the film is extremely sad. I welled up completely at the end. The quality of her voice reminded me a little of Vitas (Russian singer), except that Keedie seems to have more emtions in her voice as opposed to Vitas' amazing ability to hit really high notes.

Modigliano is not the composer. He was a painter that the film focused on that this song came from. The composer was Guy Farley. :)

Are you talking about the song, or the whole album? The album was made by EMI giants, they just care about the money, so they make safe albums. Thankfully Keedie is working with legendary song-writer Diane Warren, and Keedie has already recorded some of her songs. She still is not signed though, though a team in America were supposed to work with Diane on it, they flaked out. Keep seeing you everywhere, Ady (I ran the website, forum and still run her MySpace account).
