I am not positive, but maybe to show that it is like the movie in the beginning. I noticed that almost all of the living world in that movie is in black and white, and she might of thought that it would be an easier transition. Just my thoughts.

It's not that hard, only the part in the middle is a little hard for a beginner. It might take you 1-2 weeks maximum if you have some pianoskills from before.

Or like the girl who responded to you, it might take 3 months if you are new at it. That's actually a very bad move to jump on to hard pieces directly. You don't get so good fingerpractice and in 3 months you could have played 12 easier pieces and learned alot. Now you learned one harder piece that will not help you go forward so fast.

It's like a artist learning to draw, if he starts drawing Mona Lisa. It would take him 5 years, but he have not learned to draw the endless ways of lines you do in easier sketching. So it's always easy to go through the easier things first. I know it's hard and you want to advance, but you will not benefit so much when caught up in harder pieces to early.

but i am approx grade 7 (i play grade seven/eight pieces but i don't do the testing) i was just wondering out of curiosity, as i have a little time until the new semester begins to swamp me with new work.. i wanted to know if it could be learned fairly quickly.

You play this nicely. A couple of slip-ups, but everone makes those! The only thing i'd suggest is to watch your dinamics. In places it needs to be softer. But overall, i'd say that was a well-played piece. I play this on my piano, but it's like, nearly 100 years old, and is past tuning point, so it doesn't sound half as good. Well done.

Do you read notes? I have played keyboard for 2 months now.. And I have learned 1/3 of Victors PianoSolo today... It isnt so hard actually. If you dont read notes, that isnt so hard to lern to! I recomend that =)

Nice! With all the extended endings out there I still prefer the original 'cluster chord' ending. I take the opportunity to tell the story before I play it. Your audience imagines the scene and the piece then serves its intended purpose, and the cluster chords sound so appropriate.

i have an electric piano so i cant answer the last two but i think tuning requires hiring a professional. not sure tho. but training your hands is difficult, it helps to have lessons, and practise lots :)
