I totally agree with you, tennis2247. What I don't understand is when people say Misty is lying but thinks Ronald is innocent. How can an innocent man be hugged up all over the person the very next day she lost his daughter? How can he say in one interview that he honestly don't know what happened and in other interviews, he believes Misty is innocent. He marries her when his daughter had only been missing for a month but there is no affection between the two? They act strange, in my opinion.
If Misty is guilty, I believe Ron is guilty because he is standing by her side and then marries her like there is no tomorrow. His body language is suspicious in all of his interviews. It just so happened that he just got home when Misty found out that Haleigh was gone so they called 911 together? And instead of searching for Haleigh outside, he kept on yelling at the police dispatcher and threatening to kill someone?

Actually, Ron provided a furnished bedroom for Haleigh, but Haleigh liked sleeping in Ron's room so they took her mattress off of her junior bed in her bedroom & moved it into Ron's room. I did the same for my kids. Right now my nails are dirtier than Misty's.
PS Some of the kids who went to a private Montessori school with mine, & who's parents were affluent well-educated professionals, were sent home from school with head lice.
They are not dirty people. Haleigh probably wanted to sleep in there with them. I still have a little futon on the floor in my mother's bedroom. Not because she is a bad mother, but because I like being close to her. We often stay up talking all night until one of us falls asleep, and sometimes she asks me to say my prayers out loud, because it comforts her to here this. This is the way for us for as long as I can remember.

I think Misty was gone for a lonnnnngggg time that night. Something dosent seem right at ALL about anything she ever says. She changes her story every 5 seconds. Now in a new interview shes saying she called her mom after she realized Haleigh was gone. ANOTHER new twist.

That's what I have thought all along. That Misty left the house with the kids sleeping to party or whatever. Doesnt mean she knows who did what, but explains all the inconsistant comments. She should fess up - she's even failed polygraphs.

How does Cummings have the head to get married while his daughter is missing? I felt sorry for him but now have second thoughts. I don't believe Misty's story. If I was the bio mom I'd be raising hell. Haleigh taken under Misty's nose is BULLSHIT. Misty knows exactly what happened! So in a nut shell, Cummings rewarded himself with a bride who was last seen with his daughter before she was "taken". THAT'S A REAL KICK IN THE PANTS TO HALEIGH! I totally agree with you, tennis2247. What I don't understand is when people say Misty is lying but thinks Ronald is innocent. How can an innocent man be hugged up all over the person the very next day she lost his daughter? How can he say in one interview that he honestly don't know what happened and in other interviews, he believes Misty is innocent. He marries her when his daughter had only been missing for a month but there is no affection between the two? They act strange, in my opinion.

If Misty is guilty, I believe Ron is guilty because he is standing by her side and then marries her like there is no tomorrow. His body language is suspicious in all of his interviews. It just so happened that he just got home when Misty found out that Haleigh was gone so they called 911 together? And instead of searching for Haleigh outside, he kept on yelling at the police dispatcher and threatening to kill someone?

I think he is manipulating Misty. Not that that would absolve Misty by any means, but he I think he acts like he hates her. Like he is stuck with her. That is the impression I get from watching them.

That is what I think is very strange. She just happened to get up and notice the child missing and at that moment the dad comes home? Something seems wrong. IF she notice the child was missing she should have called 911 right away like any normal person.

It's almost as though she was out and knew she had to be home before Ron's shift ended or who knows maybe that guy Greg or some other people were in the house with her and left a rock or whatever propped against the door so they could smoke pot with the door staying open to keep the smell out and maybe somebody came thru the front door while she was partying I mean so many different scenarios and yet most end with so many questions surrounding misty. How very very sad.

I agree, but then again his lack of display of affection might indicate the way he was raised. The thing that bothers me is what 17 year old is sleeping so deeply and at a relatively early time, 10pm, and doesn't hear the child being taken? They compare this to a couple of other cases. Those cases were so different because the parents weren't in the same room as the victim. Misty was 4 feet away. She might as well have left the kids tied up outside, they probably would have been safer!

He surely showed her plenty of affection the days after Haleigh went missing. They were photographed and televised walking around with cigarettes in their hands and he was holding on to her so tight like he can't be without her. And yes, it is hard to believe how someone can steal a child 4 ft away from you.

Smells like someone got legal advice, that a spouse can not be made to assist the prosecution. Ain't that special? Oh, and it happened at her birth day party. I thought she turned 17 last December? Maybe it's the mother's birthday and not Misty? Not sure though, they are a very confusing family. Either way, Misty's mother should encouraging her to stay in school instead of supporting her marriage proposal from a grown man. I will never, ever, ever, ever let my daughter go through this kind of ordeal. Approving of her child's marriage at this very deep and sorrow moment of Haleigh's disappearance is just mind-boggling. I don't understand that at all.

It was Haleigh's grandma's (Ronald's mom's) birthday at Chilli's, not Misty's. Her b-day is in December.. which means she's not even 17 1/2 yet. Does anyone know if she even went to High School?

Are you talking about the birthday at Chillis where Ron proposed? I thought I heard them say in one of the videos that, that was Ron's mom Teresa's birthday. The media was calling Misty the 17-yr-old girlfriend the first day Haleigh went missing. I've seen a few posts where people think she was 16 all of a sudden. Is this a rumor that got started on a blog?

Look I read he has been asking to marry her for 5 months, has known her since she was 14. I saw the same thing! It looks to me as though she is showing off her ring. This man seems very annoyed with how oblivious she is. He seems to be working to help out around the camp, and she is dancing around giddy, showing off her new ring, whilst all the others are sick with worry and trying to stay busy.

Misty showed her ring on t.v. and her fingernails were FILTHY. The dad can't provide decent beds for his children to sleep in, just a cheap mat on the floor....but he can get an engagement ring.
They both need to be de-loused. They just look so dirty. Wash around the neck too.

Actually, Ron provided a furnished bedroom for Haleigh, but Haleigh liked sleeping in Ron's room so they took her mattress off of her junior bed in her bedroom & moved it into Ron's room. I did the same for my kids. Right now my nails are dirtier than Misty's.

They are not dirty people. Haleigh probably wanted to sleep in there with them. I still have a little futon on the floor in my mother's bedroom. Not because she is a bad mother, but because I like being close to her. We often stay up talking all night until one of us falls asleep, and sometimes she asks me to say my prayers out loud, because it comforts her to here this. This is the way for us for as long as I can remember.

Not only dating a minor but also has another child with another 17 year old girl. It appears he has a preversion for 17 year old children. He is one sick piece of work. I think Crystal was so beat down by him and the sneaky way he took the kids and the fact that she did not have proper representation it put her in a hopeless situation. Perhaps now that she has a good attorney to help her she can regain custody of her son.
