This product rocks... that said, you have to understand its limitations. First, its for small rooms unless you stand right in front of it. Second, there are many that you have to drain the water, but I never did although I used it sparingly given the power drain. I had bad luck with one I got from QVC but I bought an LG unit that worked so well, I'm writing this.
I got a portable air conditioner for a small room in a mobile home. It came with a panel which fits in the window and it runs nicely, but when I change the temperature lower using the remote, it changes back to the temperature which was on it before. The room does not cool enough to sleep under the sheets at night. I know it is getting air into it since I can feel the air being sucked under the door into the room.
I just bought a unit similar to this myself. It never occurred to me how it needs to take the inside air but it makes sense. I would have got a dual hose unit instead... The problem with these is they are all designed for sliding windows. Lot of houses have crank windows. I ended up rigging something with plywood, works ok. Debating on creating a second duct for the intake so it does not have to use inside air to cool the compressor only to throw it outside after.
this kind of air conditioner is very inefficient. it uses the inside air that you are cooling..to cool the condenser... its a lot of waste..... thats why you dont see big brands selling this type of airconditioners
Worst edited video I've ever seen. Why didn't the editor cut to even more obscure and non-relatable shots, like rhino's stampeding through Africa? Or a person taking off in a hang glider? They would have matched the narration better. For instance, I'll give an example: "Attach the hose to the window." Cut to: Jetliner taking off from an airport.
I reacted the exact same way you did! They could have shown the person doing all those steps that were narrated. Instead they just showed the guy connecting the hose to the a/c unit. Of no help at all!
You're not actually *shown* how to *install* the vent!

Terrible. Too fast, and the talk does not match what we are looking at.

You piece of shit you didn't show how to cut the venting hole asshole

This is a sad excuse for a how-to video. You show how the venting connects to your product but not how it connects to a window or a vent. Why not?
I hope the products you make are of better quality than your video.

What a crappy video??? You['re saying they couldn't have actually SHOWN the complete, step by step installation???

Incredibly convenient? You just told me to drill a soccer ball sized hole in my wall!

Glad to know I wasn't alone. Motivates me to make an obscure and useless video myself... of which I'm sure I'm capable!
