yeah dropped the e to d cos i wanted to included the overdub (heavy 12th to open slide) keep meaning to the rest of the album just bought a digicam that takes auion input so its just a case of time ...and errr more beer lol

Herbie flowers would often drop the E down to a D

by the way I'm a big Herbie fan too I've a blue jazz too with nylon flatwounds and a lump of sponge under the bridge

im playin up one octave because if you listen to the actual bass sound the original album the bass is played on the e string but with an old octaver effect which is quite hard to find now (and keep the right sound). so i choose to play the upper octave (which is closest to the sound) and yes BAGS well done E is tuned to D hope your well fella :)

yeah i try and use as little effects as poss and get the sound i need out of the bass its self,only needed pick for the begining then i got shot of it lol.
