  • Since when was lemon spelt 'lemin' or 'lemen'.

    Nasal voices sound really weird.

  • @TheRockin50s yeah I've been there trust me lol, but where I work at managers please people before anything. This one lady wanted red-bull and henny and since we're not allowed to have red bull she got pissed and the managers went to the publix next door to get red bull for her lol. and still didn't leave 20% ... LOVE YOU tho for this video. hope everything is well :)

  • It's not the point of "it's your job"... yes, it is my job and I am MORE than happy to make 1,000 trips for you IF you treat me with respect. The worst people I'm always nice to, I smile and I'm friendly either way. And I really don't mind making the extra trips to get you things you want but... my job is a server, not a circus animal. Treat me with respect.

  • Hello!!! I think this was for all the haters...Thought I would copy and paste it for you!

lol. Don't get offended, it's all for laughs... and education! And always tip properly (20%)! Enjoy! :)

Can't wait...is there a part two? I have told all my co-works to check it out! It's JUST FUNNY!

  • @LAZZLO069 Tip properly 20%??? Well, don't we think highly of ourselves! It is not the public's responsibility to pay your salary. We need to stop these restaurants from making off like bandits and the industry to step up and pay their employees properly! After all, servers (other than prostitutes) are the only job where you get rewarded (or not) for doing their job.

  • the people who dislike this have never served or have no idea what this video is about. Because this is spot on to the millionth degree. I enjoy and also hate serving. It is wonderful and awful, like anything else. But people are really like this. Well done. This is perfect! I love it!!!!!!!!

  • why cant everyone just order one fucking drink!! what are they camels?? btw great video everyone i work with loves it

  • "Why don't you smile more, you should smile more, aren't you happy?"

  • I want my restaurant to have no servers or bartenders on for one week. Just tables and people working the cashier counter. See how much the mother fuckers that don't tip like having to get their own 40 refills on their coke with extra, extra, extra ice. In 2007 tips averaged to 18% by the end of the night at checkout. These days i'm sitting at 12% thinking, why oh why didn't I spit in everyone's food?!?

  • @sgtmathewsusmc Ever think that maybe your attitude had something to do with the decline of your tips? And I think it's funny you think that having no servers or bartenders would make a difference... Hello... have you been to a fast food restaurant lately? Or even something like Panera where the food is better than your average fast-food joint, but you still get your own refills. If someone wants lots of ice, get them extra ice. It's not like you're churning butter here!

  • Lawl, spot on! The one that drives me craziest is "I want a cheeseburger" "okay, and what would you like on that cheeseburger?" "well, what comes on it?" "everything would be: onion, pickle, ketchup, and mustard;but we can put whatever you want on it." "okay. I don't want anything on it." "alright, nothing on it, so a plain cheeseburger?" "yes, but I want cheese on it." Dear god, that drives me nuts. If there were no cheese on it it would be a hamburger - cheese is what distinguishes the 2. Pla

  • Lol

  • Hah my mom is a waitress and all of these are true

  • haha what about the completely irrelevant questions like, "What day is March 12th?" or, "Why is your town called...?" or "What kind of trees are those outside?" As if I know everything about everything just because I work here!!

  • @missrachmidd

The 12th of March is a Tuesday but i forget which year that is...Our town has that name because we got tired of waiting for you to visit and suggest something better ...and those trees outside are wooden trees....

  • You know what? You don't wanna tip? FINE! Fuck your condiments, fuck your food allergies, fuck you not wanting to sit near the fucking door, fuck the way you want your steak cooked, fuck your lemons, fuck your napkins, fuck water refills you can dehydrate and fucking die, fuck the playful banter you suckers eat right up, fuck everything you want ON THE SIDE, fuck your coupons, fuck your noisy ass family, fuck all your questions, FUCK ALL THIS NICE SHIT YOU WANT FROM A SERVER!!!!

  • @SkullPunt LOL damn, someone had a rough shift lately. but yes i agree!!!

  • @SkullPunt Well with that type of shitty attitude as a server... I wouldn't tip you either. And I've waited tables before. But sometimes even if you're a good server, customers can still be assholes and they don't even realize it because they are idiots.

  • @krisrk She doesn't have that attitude, she is playing the part of the guest... It's just funny! :)

lol. Don't get offended, it's all for laughs... and education! And always tip properly (20%)! Enjoy! :)

  • @LAZZLO069 I know that the video is a parody. It was funny too because it is true. But go look at the top comment by SkullPunt ... if there comment reflects how they wait tables THEN, they would deserve a bad tip because of their bad attitude... do you understand now??

  • PERFECT. Now, I need to do one, "Shit Servers Say... To Cooks..."

  • It's usually something the customer is making us say lol

  • @SkullPunt Yeah, but not always, lol... Some servers don't know how to place appetizer orders when they're getting the table's drinks BEFORE they take the entree order. Or the server who's like "There's not supposed to be any onions on this M.O.S. burger" but they didn't indicate that on their ticket because they forgot...

  • @PagliacciCanio WHY IS MY FOOD TAKING SO LONG?! lol

  • @TheRockin50s - (After placing the appetizer and entree order at the same time instead of entering the app when filling the drink order) Why are my table's entrees coming up before their appetizer, they had an appetizer first!!!

  • @PagliacciCanio "I need it on the fly! The other server I had the party with forgot to ring it in NOT MY FAULT!"

"Julio! I need some marinara sauce!"

"Jose! POLLO!!!! AQUI!.. wait ..was that the word for 'now'?

"So they wanted this pizza a quarter cheese, quarter margarita, quarter pepperoni and quarter sausage.. I'm sorry! *walks away* not my damn fault bitch you go tell the table you can't make it"

"Wanna make me breakfast?? :)..Just something, what was that thing you made me last Sunday?"

  • Some of this makes sense though

  • Today I was at work... a woman had the kitchen make her food 3 times. CAN I SEE YOUR MANAGER?!

  • ... How do people work in any branch of customer service ... and not buy a gun.

  • @Qwerty0791 I ask myself that every day...

  • @Qwerty0791 shit, I carry. I just haven't lost it yet.

  • "I'm getting the salad bar, but can I have some of the breaded shrimp from the buffet? Shrimp isn't a meat, right?"

  • Im allergic to gluten...can I get extra croutons on my salad? Oh. That's a charge? Nevermind.

  • Can I have salad dressing for my lettuce and tomato garnish?

  • Damn I hate, I hate, I HATE customers!

  • This is soooo true more people need to see this and how annoying they really are!

  • I may have to put one of these together!!! I can probably rant for days... Loved the vid!!!!

  • I have been a server for 5 plus years and this is mild compared to what I have to deal with

  • 43 people order hot water because they bring their own tea bag

  • Don't forgot how everybody says I DIDN'T LIKE IT and expect you to find it funny

  • "what's on happy hour?"

"$3 beer, half priced wine, special drinks, all appitizers 1/2 off, ect."

    "that's it?"

    Really?????

  • God, shoot me. I am a financial advisor now, but this video brings me back to my serving days and I am now seething with anger.

  • One thing waiters and waitresses need to understand is that some people are healthy, so they drink water. It doesn't mean that they are going to be cheap.

  • @Marsvolta451 Our response to you? Just...TRY working in a restaurant. I challenge you to work there for one year, and see how you feel about your water advise then.

  • @Marsvolta451 I'm a server/bartender. I only drink water at restaurants, but I'm also a guaranteed 20% tip for shitty service and up to 50% for good service.

  • @Marsvolta451 You're right that water isn't necessarily a sign of cheapness, water with lemon IS, and someone wants hot water with lemon and honey is a guaranteed shittiest tip you've ever seen in your life.

  • haha, love the video! We have a web series about the servers life in restaurants! Check it out at on our youtube channel right now!

  • I totally agree! I hear this shit all the time.

  • them: HOT WATER WITH LEMON PLEASE!!!

    you : Fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • I can relate so much to this!

  • thank you thank you thank you thank you!! this video is spot on. it makes me feel just a little better that i know im not alone haha

  • "Nothing, thanks,I'll just sit here and film a video about what custumers say to servers"

  • This chick is seriously fucking annoying. Maybe that's the point, but my gosh I wanted to punch her.

  • @rockwjz thats exactly the point. prime example of what servers deal with daily.

  • @rockwjz thanks for posting this skit as a fellow server I can relate and personally I think restaurant etiquett should be a high school graduation requirement. i.e. how to order; how to tip; how to address your server and most importantly not penalise the server when the kitchen fucks up their food, by tipping 10%. thanks again

  • @rockwjz yeah, thats satire dude. specially good one ...

  • I LOVE this!!! EVERYDAY!!! EVERYDAY!!!!

  • First person: "what are your salad dressings?" Server: "ranch, blue cheese, 100 island, balsamic vinaigrette, italian, honey mustard." next person: "sorry, what are your dressings again?" Server: "ranch, blue cheese, 100 island, balsamic vinaigrette, italian, honey mustard." Third person: "I know you just said them, but what are your dressings?"

    Die.

  • @omgitsbwa hahaha omg so true!!!

  • This video rocks!! I feel your pain, and women are the absolute worst!!! The half and half tea is horrible, and now they ask for half and half coke/diet coke and they make their own lemonade..lol.. You so reminded me of all the catty bitches I have ever dealt with!!!

  • My favorite is after I have already poured their water.. "Oh, can I get no ice in my water?"

  • Where I work, we have a choice of tea or water, I hate it when I ask "Would you like tea or water?"

    and the response is "Yes."

    "Right, so which one?" =A=;;

  • Table 1

Me: "I'll be right back with the Cheddar Bay Biscuits."

    Them: "Is the bread coming?"

    Table 2

Me: "II'll be right back with the bread"

    Them: "Can we get biscuits?"

    Table 3

Me: "I'll be right back with the [Biscuits/Bread]"

    Them: "Where are the muffins?"

    FML @ Red Lobster.

  • I served for years...why the inclusion of people asking for salt and pepper? They should have that already because you know who uses salt or pepper on their food? EVERYONE. Extra napkins was hilarious though. I worked at Famous Dave's where there is an entire roll of paper towels ON THE TABLE. Got asked for extra napkins several times every single shift...and frequently with a hint of, "Wtf, moron, this is BBQ. Why haven't you brought us extra napkins?"

  • "10% is good enough for god, it should be good enough for my waiter.."

  • ME : Hello folks, how are you?

    THEM : Ice tea....

  • @drgoodspd I call them out on that shit ME: Hey guys, How are you tonigh? THEM: Ice tea... ME: Yeah I am doing great, thanks for asking. Would you like to start with an iced tea?

  • @Travnuts i hate that. I walk up to a table & before i can even get a word out they tell me what they wanna drink. i pause, stare at them and say "WELL, my name is Alex & I'll be taking care of you" then they realize they were being assholes & apologize. The other thing is when they order before i get them their drinks. i tell them "you can order but its not going to come out any faster"

  • Great work! Your video has been shared on NotAlwaysRight's official Facebook page!

  • hahahah "we're ready to order...umm..."

  • I like approaching a table with one person and four menus, and asking "Anything while you're waiting for the rest of your group?" The answer is always "Oh I'm waiting for three more people." Or "I don't know what they want.". Sigh. I know. And I didn't ask that.

  • "Let me talk to your manager."

  • so true.

  • I hate people that say they are allergic to something, but actually aren't. Oh wait, I'm one of those! Because technically I don't have allergies, but severe food intolerances. And I swear every waiter thinks I'm lying when I have to ask about each dish because if I don't I will be in extreme pain for days afterwards. I hate being the pain!

  • Yep, I've heard all of those. lol

  • Some of you are forgetting something. Complaining about the while allergy thing and the customer doesn't have that allergy. It is annoying because the cook/kitchen crew has to clean everything that particular food has touched. That also increases the time it takes for the food to come out which irritates said customer. So yeah, it is annoying as all hell.

  • I HATE when people pick up their glasses (half the time they arent even empty) and shake it or try to whistle/snap/clap to get my attention. Its like "Bitch wait a damn minute! Do you NOT see all the other people I'm running around to help? Im not a dog so dont whistle!"

  • What I get most often is people who ask what the specials are after declining an offer to be told the specials.

  • Auughhhh people who order while on their cell phones annoy the piss out of me.

  • Thank you!! I hear this ALL THE TIME. I cringed when I heard these as customers are really this obnoxious and are getting worse by the minute.

  • THIS IS MY LIFE! ....extra lemons... extra extra lemon...... lmaooo

  • @DONCORLEONEpicha i'm a server by the way and these are the people (pretty much all of them ) i'm looking forward to chocking in the parking lot

  • ROFL!!! I love this. You forgot how some customers ask for the kids menu hehe, Happens all the time in my job.

  • ha!!! thse people should be kicked!

  • This actually pissed me off. I waited tables and most people don't realize waiter/waitresses make 2.13 an hour +tips... so YOU NEED TO TIP 20%. 90% of the time when your order is messed up its the kitchens fault NOT OURS! & the kitchen is not allowed to leave the kitchen to explain. Your waiter/waitress normally tries as hard as they can because they are working FOR TIPS!

  • @choppedupchicken "90% of the time when your order is messed up its the kitchens fault NOT OURS! "

That is SOOOO NOT TRUE and you know it:

    1. Servers put in orders wrong at times.

    2. Servers BRING OUT OBVIOUSLY wrong food or FORGET something that's obvious that you don't have to touch to notice the mistake.

    3. Servers forget to put in orders at times.

My husband and I get the most, #2. Missing condiments are THE #ONE thing that gets forgotten from YOUR SERVER!!

  • @Springs133 you know absolutly nothing. I hope next time you go out someone spits in your food.

  • @choppedupchicken - There are times when I can tell WITHOUT TOUCHING THE FOOD the food doesn't appear correct.

Either it's your server's fault or another server's fault for most things that are wrong with your food in general. MOST things can be notice WITHOUT touching the food.

Missing or wrong side dishes, wrong entrée, missing condiments, etc. Condiments are ALWAYS your server's fault, because they could be brought out ahead of time.

  • @choppedupchicken I forgot to add, wrongly prepared food sometimes you can notice as well just by LOOKING at the food if you are the server that took the order or if you are another that brought out the food with the ticket correct.

  • @bloodstone256 I don't see the difference. You say "it's so annoying when some people with weak stomachs and immune systems fake allergies..." It should not matter what the reason they say they have an allergy. And as a matter of fact, a lot of true allergies start out simple, like with a stomach ache and such. So, as a server, it shouldn't matter whether a person tells you that the sky will fall if you give them a mushroom and you know it's not true, you don't serve them any!

  • Funny thank you! I had a hard night this was just what I needed!

  • Great Video. I must add to the comments below. If we got paid minimal wage (which is 7.50 where I live and server minimal is 2.13), then those who dine in will stop having to tip. If you don't tip, we have no real motive to kiss as much ass as we do. So therefor TIPS = To Insure Prompt Service. As being a waitress, we remember faces. I won't do anything malicious to your food, but I will serve those whom treat me best first.

  • Okk....this type of video is ONLY funny if....1) it's a different person each time...and 2) if they people saying it have dignity....to be honest..the girl in the video is one that we servers would expect $4 on $46 from....

  • "You are a great server! everything was just great. Keep the change!"....8% tip

  • @jrappazzo hahahaha that happens at my work way too often

  • Supercute

  • I am a server and make 3.40 a hour before tips. For a two week check after taxes I get about 60 dollars. Minimum wage for servers is about half of what minimum wage for non-tipped workers is. Half of my coworkers get checks that are $0 that say this is not a check for two weeks, I only get more because I work a LOT of hours.

  • This is amazing!! I love it! You are so right!!! "The Public" are freakin' ridiculous!!!

  • Why are people dissing on servers....this is just a "shit Customers say to servers!" she's not complaining that they are saying it she is stating what customers say to servers everyday! Stupid people.

  • @nschuneman0107 THANK YOU!!!!!

  • @nschuneman0107 AND ITS TRUE GAAAAH!

  • @pnwestgrl Washington state does not require servers to claim their tips, because of that they are paid minimum wage.I'm from New York where we are required to claim 12% of our total sales on top of our credit card tips (which are taxed and do not get until we get our paychecks). After tipout (hostess, bartender, and busboys) sometimes I only walk out with $10 after working an entire 8 hour shift without a break. It's not the restaurant because I work at one of the biggest wing houses in Buffalo.

  • The greater majority of the things in this video shouldn't be considered rude annoying. Sure, there are some really rude things in there. But I'd say at least half are expected things of a server. After all, it's your job. If you have too many tables and can't accomplish this, then tell your host/manager. Actually, 99% of the rude things in this should be handled by the manager. And I hope you don't work for a chain, because if I found out you worked for me, you'd be fired over this!

  • @OhOhMikey Oh Mikey what a prick, you don't understand, Hey Mickey, Hey Mickey...

I seriously hope next time you go to a restaurant your server spits in your drink and stir it with the used straw of another person dirty glass >:)

  • @barcode170 I'm not a prick. I'm a mature adult, not some child who spits in someone's drink. Seriously, how old are you? If you're a server and you treat your customers like that, you too probably get what you believe are horrible customers! Of course, judging by your reply's spelling and grammar, I assume you work at a fast food chain... not a quality establishment! But like most "bad" servers, you made assumptions and didn't listen... and in the end, you just look like an idiot.

  • @OhOhMikey

Why? She's not allowed to vent about the frustrations of her job? She's not doing any of this on the clock, and she's not wearing a uniform.

She is completely within her rights to say all of this (true) shit.

And more likely than not, a decent manager would recognize all of the things said in this video as truth.

You must get a lot of spit in your food.

  • @MomoGasumi Just to clarify, my manager saw this and laughed his ass off :D

  • @MomoGasumi She is allowed to vent her frustrations on her own time, but making a video immediately gives a public face to her opinions. So, if someone saw her on the job, they might connect her opinions with that of the establishment. Just as someone can get suspended or fired for what they say on their own personal Twitter!

And as far as spit in my food... Going there, all the people that have commented about spit, just shows the quality (or lack) of your character! Grow up!

  • @OhOhMikey Get over yourself. It's all for fun and some laughs. Believe me, servers NEED a good laugh after the SHIT we put up with. You're a manager? Man, I feel bad for those who work for you. They must hate you. Oh, & just so you know, yes, I do work for a chain & guess what?? My manager saw this & laughed his ass off. Yea... :D

  • @TheRockin50s How do you think I became a manager? I was a server first! And while your manager might find it funny, I seriously doubt corporate would! And you make it sound like you have a horrible job. If you don't like the "SHIT," then get out of the industry! I will reiterate, the majority of the things in this video are what you were hired to do! They are not over-the-top requests. They didn't ask you to stand on your head to pour a glass of water! Get over YOURSELF!

  • @OhOhMikey Of course a manager. Doesn't take much of an education to become one. Just pay your dues as a server, & bam! You're a manager. Lucky for me, I dont plan on working in a restaurant the rest of my life. I actually have dreams & goals I plan to achieve. I dont hate my job all the time, just when people dont appreciate my hard work. I never said anything pertaining strictly to the company i work for therefore, they cant really fire me. Why dont u just take it for what it is? COMEDY!

  • @OhOhMikey , well, people DO say stupid things and she is allowed to expose them. It's a free country. Did you forget the FREEDOM OF SPEECH? Anyone can complain about anything, it's their RIGHT.

  • @Tihbialdunav Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but that doesn't free us of the consequences of that same speech. I mean, a murderer is free to confess his crime just as a server has the right to tell a rude customer to sit on a fork and spin... but both have consequences! And in today's digital age, we should neither put word or picture (or combination, in this case) on the internet or share it with anyone if we don't want it scrutinized and on the internet indefinitely.

  • @bloodstone256 First off, if someone asks for an ingredient to be left out, it should be... regardless of allergy or not. I'm "allergic" or mushrooms. Not in the sense that I'll puff up like a balloon, but my body cannot process them... so I throw up. So even if you sneak one in and I don't show any signs in the restaurant, it doesn't mean I'm not "allergic." It means I'll be puking at home later! So, if someone says don't put something in or they're allergic, just DO IT!

  • You forgot, "I'm allergic to gluten... could you make this steak gluten free?"

    >:(

  • haha hilarious! however it can be the other way around too! one time i asked the server for a serviette and they asked me what a serviette is -.- xD

  • You pretty much nailed it! Of course there's a few other things, but ya definitely got the message across! I just wish we could honestly make some kind of eliminated card that tells a guest simple, common sense manners when coming into our restaurant. The thing that gets me most is I close quite often throughout the week, and people think its fine coming in 10 min before close & ordering everything possible, then leaving 45 min after close and tip a lousy 10% when I gave beyond great service >.<

  • if you dont wanna pay and tip someone for being at your every beck and call and serving you your food making sure your drink is full then go home and make your own goddamn food! lol

  • Servers are undeniably the most spoiled employees on the planet.

  • @WLUbeans clearly you have NEVER worked as a server.....we get paid $3 AN HOUR......you are an idiot

  • @mlryan74 Clearly they may not be an idiot. $3.00 is not the wage everywhere. In WA, servers get paid min wage (8 something an hour) plus tips!

  • @mlryan74 PLUS TIPS! Servers make more than people who get paid minimum wage. Learn some math.

  • Comment removed

  • @turcie If you have read my other comment I think you may understand a little bit better. I HAVE done the math-my tips are what I live on. There are days when I don't even make the equivalent of NY's minimum wage.

  • @mlryan74 Not sure what 'other comment' you are referring to considering you've had several comments that were removed. It's not my job to scroll through and read your entire thread. All I am saying is it is common knowledge that servers make less than minimum wage and there are tons of servers who make a lot of money from tips. If you are walking out of a shift with only a $10 bill, you are getting seriously screwed. Also, working an 8hr shift like the rest of us doesn't entitle you to a break.

  • "i know i asked for the steak well done but its been like 10 minutes

    AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GOD

  • From one server to another, I can tell why you dislike and are therefore not good at your job...you have no personality.

  • @Tosh8891 Clearly she has a personality if she makes comical videos, and who are you to say she's not good at her job? Oh right, nobody.

  • @Tosh8891 she has no personality.. Is that why you're subscribed to 'simplepickup' channel?

  • Comment removed

  • wow, servers are bitches

  • XD It's true. Only thing I would do is ask for hot water, tell someone to go first when I don't know what I want, and yes split (only after my friends agree XD ). lol

Never heard anyone say "why do you work here"....kind of rude.

  • I bet this girl is just as annoying in real life as she is in this video. I wanna slap some sense into her face, or maybe she can do it herself with those flabby arms.

  • My head hurts watching this and I hear this kinda crap every damned shift....

  • Your video reminds me of taking my mother-in-law to a restaurant with us. She's worse, because no matter how ridiculous her request or how many special requests she has made, she always starts out with "Don't make a special trip". She thinks that's polite, but it comes across as sarcastic, and I'm sure our servers see it that way too. I want to reach across the table and punch her in the throat. I truly wonder how much spit my mother-in-law has ingested in her lifetime for her stupidity.

  • soooo true.

  • there is no way you dont work at Texas Roadhouse...... i hear this basically everytime i work. :P

  • funny

  • I'm a server and I hear all of this shit hundreds of times a week, lol. You made me laugh--thanks for this awesome vid!

  • You are brilliant!! Thank you for making this. It's SO TRUE!!

  • smack!

  • this is soooooo true

  • hahahah the people who dislike this video are the people who ask all those ridiculous questions.

  • You forgot one question. "Can you take our picture?" I love that when Im slammed. Then they make you take 2 or MORE!

  • "If 10% is good enough for God, it should be good enough for my waiter." BAHAHA

  • haha- i think this is hilarious and spot on! You have to be a server to understand why this is funny. Obviously good service is expected..however, some customers are just crazy! haha

  • hahah this is so funny! i love serving, i made my way through college doing it but the tipping part is what gets me! when you have a needy table and you meet their demands and they leave you 4$ on a 56$ check it makes you want to scream!

  • the part about "its so cold in here" is the story of my life. I work in the dining room....of a retirement home. 80 degrees is cold.

  • @haleyrosee15

AGREED! 80 degree its freakin' hot when u running around like chicken!

  • LMAO. So true!!

  • You look like this girl here: /watch?v=7y6dDQ129UM

  • There's a difference between waiting on people who are grateful to have a good server, and people who are snobby and think they are superior to you. Personal experience has proved that.

  • a ha this is too true!

  • its your fucking job

  • How dare people actually want service in a restaurant! ;)

  • @CrystalW07 No, they want customers to be polite and considerate. If you want service, show some basic respect.

  • Youre great for making this video lls shit had me cracking up !

  • Comment removed

  • so apparently if you ask any server any question at all, it's annoying?
