i woke up in the middle of the night about 3 nights ago, in extrodinary pain for about 30min. the pain was around the left kidney area, i could'nt move for 30min I was stuck in the fetal positon, then i passed out and woke up feeling fine in the morning.

later that day around bed time my L-kidney started to Tense up like as if being squeezed.

the past 3 days it has been like this off an on threw the day, the squeezing sensation with a cramps sometimes

im going to get it check out tomorrow.

I have it and i even have glaucoma. i feel so sad about this. I give up all the treatments, but will hide in a quiet place and die. I only have 3 years left...

Angle-closure glaucoma is caused by blocked drainage canals in the eye, resulting in a sudden rise in intraocular pressure. which develops very quickly and demands immediate medical attention.

Symptoms of Angle-Closure Glaucoma

•Hazy or blurred vision

•The appearance of rainbow-colored circles around bright lights

•Severe eye and head pain

•Nausea or vomiting (accompanying severe eye pain)

Thanks, i am so sad. I have both illness. I am not going to give my family any trouble. I need to support my family. I love my mum. I have to say goodbye to her 3 yrs later. Mum, I love you...I have to leave. Take care, don't cry. i will go blind anytime.

have you done your laser treatment. Finally I decided to go for my laser treatment. It takes only 15 mins. My doc told me that my eye pressure is maintain in 20.

to everybody that has a chronic kidney infection:

tell your doctor you want the valves on your kidneys and bladder checked.

you probably have reflux of the bladder. it's a serious condition that may require surgery. I've had the surgery and my condition has improved sooo much. i only rarely get bladder/ kidney infections, maybe once every 2-3 years and i used to have them nonstop. talk to your doctor!

I have come here to try and get a little advice. I have a chronic kidney infection at the moment and at times the pain is unbearable. Am on co-codamol for the pain. Did anyone have pain in the right side radiating into the back and rib cage?

I just had pyelonephritis. The onset is shockingly quick. I had cystitis that was quite bad and I was planning to go back to my family doctor. Friday afternoon at work I thought I had strained my mid back somehow. It was was a deep pain inside my back. It still hurt when I went to bed. The next morning I had a high fever and couldn't stand up straight. I had to go to hospital!

my doctor told me i had a UTI about 3 week ago. i took my medication recommended for 2 days for 10 days. but when i ran out i thought it was cured. but ever since, still, my urine is a medium-yellow and is cloudy. iv looked at kidney infection symptoms but i dont have burning when urinating. all that i have noticed is that about almost 2 weeks ago i noticed a strange smell in my urine and just yesterday i felt a sudden jolt of pain in the lower-mid section of my back. is it a kidney infection?

ive had a kidney infection for 18 months. It hides like what you said your having and as soon as my immune system is low, bang its back. I sadly lost a pregnancy at 8 weeks as it decided to come back and really knocked me out, they cant get rid of it. Currently waiting to see a consultant about it.

Ive had 12lots of different antibiotics (sp) and it works for a little while, as in takes the fever and crippling pain away, but it never goes away totally.

It sucks :(

I wonder if your chronic kidney infection may have been due to an antibiotic-resistant strain of bacteria. Have you tried cranberry juice to clear out the infection?
